My daughter and I were greatly impressed, surprised and satisfied with Taranga Safari Lodge. It is indeed a hidden gem on the Okavango and worth a stay. No expectation was left unattended to. From arrival to departure, every moment was magical!
We camped for 1 night at Taranga, the campsite is beautiful surrounded by lovely big trees and the facilities were spotless and clean. We did a sundowner boat cruise on the river that was fun. Will definitely return.
What a wonderful place to visit. Beautiful lodge, well maintained and good trained staff. Beautiful setting next to the Okavango River. You go to sleep with the sounds of frogs and wake up with the beautiful sounds of different birds and the sounds of hippos. A vissit is highly recommended!
The rooms and lodge were very nice. I would recommend choosing room 6,7,8,9,10 because they have much better views than rooms 1-4. Rooms 1-4 also have a river view but the local people are down in the river bathing and washing etc all day. The gardens and campsite are beautiful. The service was very average and the breakfast was terrible. I would go back but the price would have to drop tremendously to make it worth it.
A uniquely beautiful and tranquil place with good birding, lots of water AND super soft and green green grass that's immaculately kept. Thank you Tilla (and Martha) for looking after us as well as Cobus, owner, for arranging our transfer.
