We booked our room via a phone call, thanks to Mamy who organized our room with a Good rate. We were welcomed by nice cold cocktails which was really nice. The beach is extremely good but the pool is small, maybe is enough since so many guests prefer to swim in the sea. The breakfast is not good for Vegan and vegetarian guests, not at all. No body speaks English, just French and Italian. The room was big, clean and nice with a perfect bed and balcony. Many many thanks to Mamy who made a late check out for us, it was really kind of him. This place is good for families or resort lovers.

It has great good, peaceful view. We arrived here after 10 days of amazing journey in the mainland Madagascar, and hope to have two days at the end just lying by the beach and relax. Only to find that this is indeed a party resort. My bad for not noticing this before I book! Don’t seem to see this in other reviews. However, if you are looking for a party resort that is suitable for all age, this is a great place. In the morning at 9, it started playing Backstreet Boys. Until late night past 12 midnight, the music still goes on, from YMCA to despacito, 60’s to the latest dance pop, it has all sort! You would get to enjoy the vibe even when you are in your own room with your windows and curtain closed. Passionately blasting the music to all rooms! If you are looking for a place to chill, please avoid. You won’t be able to sleep at normal relaxing holiday hours.

If I can put empty on review bar, I will. The beach party music right out of my room balcony is NON-STOP. It's 11:54pm while I'm writing this review and the super loud music is still on going. We complained to reception twice, the stuff even lied to us say party will end at 11:30pm but it DID NOT! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!

Good moorning, We are very sorry to receive a negative and unusual reviews (as you will notice) only and exclusively for the music at the hotel ( Club with animations staff ). It would have been better to contact directly the manager that surely he would have found a solution to solve your request. Wherever you will book for the future (with external agencies) we advise you to get better information about the hotels avoiding useless problems and free surprises for everyone. Best regards.

The whole place is breathtaking, hotel has two separate pools - one for children and the second one - the quiet zone where you can rest without any noise. The biggest plus is obviously animations, friendly people that you can talk to, play, dance or sing karaoke. I highly recommend taking trips as the excursion animators are extremely fun!

Good location, close to the airport (about 45 minutes transfer). We stayed in the apartament - it was spacious, with nice terrace and sea view. Comfortable beds, big bathroom, cleaned every day. Hotel is very nice, swimming pools are clean, spa area is very quiet and relaxing. Food was very good - but you need to like Italian cuisine (pasta every day - we liked it), beach is also nice, not the best we have seen, but it is cleaned every day and there is enough sun beds.

First the Gym: you can find there stand for Olympic bar and weights. Wonderful, but somehow the bench was not possible to be operated in flat position with the bar. Quality weights and equipment, with only some elements not functioning well. What was really irritating, the staff constantly turned the air-cons OFF, so each time (like more than 10 times), I visited the gym, the temperature there was well above 30 degrees Centigrade. Plus HUGE number of mosquitoes inside. These two elements simple ruined the gym experience. Wi-Fi is badly configured. Strong repeaters deliver good signal all over the property, but they have no connection to the internet, which is accessible only within maybe 10m proximity of the Reception. Its speed and stability is pathetic (somehow upload being faster than download – in kbps anyway). You can find good supermarket in the main street 300m from the Hotel. Prices are cheap, quality is low, but some people will feel happy buying cigarettes for 1,5EUR or 1 litre bottle of Rum for 2,5EUR. Apart inconveniences mentioned above, Royal Beach is very decent and well managed place, worth of recommendation. Rooms (we had one of their suites) are very clean, well furnished, air-con is good, cleaning Ladies very helpful and nice. TV set was modern 44 inch Samsung. Food and main Restaurant is OK. Staff is very helpful. Beach is cleaned every day. Sellers of goods and local trips are present but very moderate in their approach to push you their goods. Trips sold by the Beach Boys are twice cheaper than in the Hotel’s operators and of decent quality.

Everything was perfect: spacious room, cleaned every day and sprayed against mosquiotos (hence not even one mosquito spotted in our room), very pleasant and customer-centric staff. Top quality beach service with comfortable sunbeds free of charge and bath towels if you leave deposit. Clean beach and warm ocean, 2 pools. All-inclusive food various and tasty. Internet works only at the reception area, but this only helps to enjoy time off. Excellent rating due to the extraordinary care that the manager and staff naturally show every day. Big thanks to the manager and staff!

We booked a week long trip to madagascar planning to stay here. We booked 3 months in advance through hotels.com and received multiple confirmations. After a 31 hour flight from San Francisco, we arrived to RB to find our reservation had changed to another hotel multiple miles away. Unclear if the fault lays with hotels.com or RB but what is clear is that we were treated with disrespect and apathy after flying across the freaking globe. Management offered us literally nothing as compensation. A drink, a meal, ANYTHING would have made us feel a bit better. Instead they sarcastically said they did all they could and sent us away. The lack of empathy was appalling and I'm still angry about it. Even if it was hotel.coms fault that they were over booked, I would excpect a real establishment to treat us with more respect and hospitality. We had to cancel multiple excursions and deal with commuting multiple miles for the week trip at the new hotel. Such a bummer.Silver lining: we stayed at the palm beach resort and the accommodations and people were much much nicer. Dont stay here.

Good Morning Mr Géraud, We understand everything and we apologize about the inconvenience, but we do not accept what you have said about our staff and our hospitality that was impeccable, accompanied by the welcome drink with the subsequent communication of over booking at RB. I remember you that about 2 months before your arrival many messages have been sent to inform you about the problem without ever having received any answer. In the hotel where you were , to be precise same category , same treatment and 5 minuts from RB, you have been given the up-grade in bungalow instead of a standard room and discounts on excursions . We are sorry for the inconvenience and we thank you for your understanding. Best regards.

My experience was exceptional on all levels at this hotel. It was a perfect base to have while in Nosy Be. A beautiful environment, great and friendly staff (English speaking), clean rooms, and a perfect location. A short walk down the beach will take you to many optional restaurants and bars. I really cannot fault this hotel at all for any reason. Just a beautiful experience overall, and as a solo traveller, I can also recommend to families and couples, as it caters to all needs. Thank you again so much for the amazing 8 days!!
