My car broke down on the motorway and the recovery service took me to the Grand Hotel in Moate in the middle of the night! The staff were welcoming and kind, made me tea, sandwiches and a hot whiskey, all brought to my room without any hesitation or resentment. In the morning I had a satisfying and tasty full Irish...

Food was gorgeous! We had the carvary dinner and it was the tastiest meal we have had to date! The staff was very polite and helpful. We were asking for directions to a place we wanted to visit and the staff went out of there way to help us even though they were rushed off there feet. The hotel should...

All the staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our three day stay. Particular mention goes to Caroline, the restaurant supervisor, who provided excellent service...

Stayed here for one night on a road trip around ancient Ireland. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and bright and the food in the carvery was good. With P. Egans pub down the road for a drop of the black stuff and live music too, it was a very pleasant stay.

Three stars only because only a review of the carvery. Didn't stay in the hotel but it looks fine. The carvery food was very good and we got plenty of food at a reasonable price. Would definitely go back. Wasn't obvious where to queue or pay. In the end just walked up to one of the servers and asked. good...

Great breakfast, the rooms were spacious, clean along with the restrooms. The hotel is centrally located in the center of town and several pubs and restaurants are located nearby. As previously mentioned the breakfast was great, but we didn't eat in the hotel during our stay.

My review is based purely on a bad dining experience. Don't know what the hotel is like. Stopped off with my elderly parents to sample the carvery. Both my parents were raving about it so I was looking forward to it. On arrival we were brashly informed the carvery was finished but were informed there was a bar food menu. It...
