Fantastic hotel on a beautiful piece of property. The staff was excellent and the food was one of the best we have ever had at a hotel. We did the property tour on the Canam which was great. We also did the sheep sheering and herding which was so interesting. Gary was so much fun

Property's Favorite Review
If you ever get a chance to visit The Farm at Cape Kidnappers, do not hesitate. The property is absolutely stunning. Perched atop the cliffs, you feel immediately relaxed, immersed in nature, and in constant awe of the views surrounding you. The lodge itself is luxurious, and every single detail has been thought out. The staff are impeccable and make you feel like family. The all inclusive meals were delicious and rival anything I've had at the best restaurants in New Zealand. If you enjoy wine tasting, and golf - this is the perfect getaway for you. The golf course is one of the best in the world and meticulously maintained. And right on the property. Non-golfers have plenty to keep them busy with other activities and tours. There are tons of wineries in the area that are easy to get to and the wines are world class. My husband and I cannot wait to come back.

Every detail of our stay was wonderful. The staff was outstanding at all times, from scheduling activities to taking us up to the aviary at night to look for nocturnal species. The pre dinner cocktail hour was always fun and every dish at any meal was beautifully presented. We highly recommend the CanAm tour to see the beautiful property and enjoy the scenery.

We stayed for 4 nights at a Ridge Suite that had a fireplace and bigger than the Hilltop Suite. I wished the water pressure in the shower was a bit stronger. Other than that, we had a great time. Big shout out to staff especially the kitchen team who made delicious meals during our stay. Highly recommend this place and hope to come back again.

We are in the midst of a 3 week trip in Nee Zealand and just finished a 3 day stay here. I can say that this is our most favorite place that we have ever stayed in our 30 years of travel. The location is overlooking Hawke’s Bay and is very picturesque. It is on a 6,000 acre working farm and has an amazing golf course. I am not a golfer but took a tour of the course just to see the scenery. I’m told that it is ranked in the top 20 courses in the world. The accommodations were first class as was the food and the service. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful. We hiked and explored the property on foot and on an ATV tour. The property is surrounded by a predator resistant fence that keeps out the animals that are harmful to native birds which has created the largest private sanctuary in New Zealand. If you are a bird watcher this is the place to be. We were able to see many endangered birds including a Kiwi. We were very sad to leave and hope to be able to go back again.

This is an exceptionally beautiful resort (6500 acres) with an incredible view, outstanding service, and Michelin quality food offerings, and we can say all that without even having played on their golf course which is world renowned. Strongly recommend the ATV property tour, and the Kiwi experience, the latter of which will allow you observe close-up the adorable, protected, national bird of NZ, This is truly a luxury 5-star gem.

We stayed at a number of five-star lodges on this trip, but Cape Kidnappers was the only Robertson Lodge at which we stayed. It did not disappoint. The setting is beautiful, our room was large and had a stunning view, the food was excellent, and the staff were to a person friendly and attentive. Once on property you don’t want to leave. There’s plenty to do on site even if you are not a golfer (though I did play one round.) The Can-Am property tour is not to be missed. Same with the Kiwi walk. We walked up to the aviary on our own. We used the fitness center and pool as well. I look forward to going to the other Robertson Lodges on future trips.

This was our 3rd trip to The Farm at Cape Kidnappers. We were just as thrilled with the four days we spent as we had been on previous visits. Everything is attended to. The staff are amazing, the food fabulous and the golf course fantastic.

We have mixed feelings looking back on our stay at Cape Kidnappers. On one hand the accommodations, scenery, and lodge were spectacular and several employees really made our experience enjoyable. On the other hand, the lack of transparency in our billing and lack of attention my wife experienced after her biking accident left a spoiled taste in our mouth. We have a lot of friends that are planning to travel to New Zealand in the near future and we are hesitant to recommend Cape Kidnappers.

The staff are attentive. The architectural- designed main house is fantastic. The golf course green condition is perfect. The crafted gourmet is exquisitely elegant with Michelin- star culinary. The tracks, the 6000 acres Can-Am Safari tour, the Pacific Ocean turquoise blue water views are extraordinary experiences.
