We rented a car and drove from Salta to Iruya. The long winding road to get there was spectacular. We crossed several small creeks, passed a donkey, not to mention the beauty of the surrounding hills. We arrived in Iruya and had to drive up a very steep, narrow cobblestone road to get to Hotel Iruya perched on a hill... More

Hotel Uruya offers rooms with spectacular views. We stayed in room 2 which had views over the town and the cliff lines. Rooms are spacious and you can open the large windows. The atmosphere is tranquil with its many sitting rooms, verandas and private areas. The restaurant provides local cuisine with ample servings and good quality. There are many pleasant... More

If you have gone to the trouble to make it to Iruya, you are going to want a decent place to stay. Hotel Iruya is that place. All staff were super friendly, including when we realized we had a flat tire the morning we were going to leave. Great guy who worked the front desk helped us get the tire... More

We certainly didn't expect such level of comfort in such a remote village. The hotel dominates the village and offers superb views but remains rather well integrated in the landscape. It looks relatively new and well maintained, the rooms are comfortable with true double beds, individual gas heaters and good bathrooms. No safes. The main hall/dining room opens on a... More

Argentinian people are known for their hospitality but Hotel Iruya seems to be an exception. First of all there are literally two staff members for the whole hotel. One in the morning and one in the evening. And they are supposed to do everything: front office tasks, restaurant service, room service... So of course it's impossible to deliver the level... More

Iruya is a small village in the middle of the mountains and the way to get there is absolutely spectacular! We loved it. The view of the terrace of Hotel Iruya is great. Also a mirador is nearby and provides you with a spectacular view of the whole Village and mountains. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There... More

Oasis at the end of a long journey. This is one town you can say the journey there was the adventure and an accomplishment in its own. Once you finally arrive to town, drive to the bottom and then back up again to the very, very top of town. From there the hotel is perched over everything, with great views... More

Iruya is at the end of the road. Not quite at the end of the world, but I suspect you can see it from there. After what we had experiencede during our trip thru the Puna this place was a pleasant surprise. Simple but comfortable and well heated rooms with plenty of hot water for the shower. The hotel is... If you can get to Iruya and like quiet, indigenous villages, Iruya is terrific: a spectacularly beautiful setting and captivating small, old Town. And the Hotel Iruya is a very nice, even though it has a slight "national parkish type hotel" feel. The food was excellent, the staff was terrific and the views from the hotel are incredible. The only... More

After 10 days in Bolivia and small villages in Northern Argentina, this hotel came a surprise. It is nicely situated on the edge of town and overlooking the whole village as good parking and great views. Reception was quick and informative, public areas nicely furnished with good natural light entering the corridors and public areas. Bedrooms were nicely furnished with... More

Dear Guest, we appreciate your comment. We are glad you have had a nice stay here in Iruya . Regarding the food service, it`s important to let you know that for us is also expensive to bring food and beverags to these places. We will work to sort it out the internet wi-fi service.
