The hotel location is fine but having moved here from Sun Federal Palace hotel for logistics reasons and with both hotels costing about the same they are miles apart for everything else. I cannot fault the staff, they try but even then I reported a slow running sink in the bathroom and it was never fixed in the 2 days I spent here. I am a tea drinker and they left me the glorious amount of 1 teabag and 2 sachets of sugar and to top it off the kettle leaked. I could not even plug in the kettle without pulling the curtains slightly open due to the location of the socket.

The breakfast was not very good, the first day we thought we were a bit late but even getting there much earlier the following day we concluded it is just very disappointing. I have now stayed in 3 hotels in lagos and this was the most disappointing. The car park is pretty small but they managed to cope, the hotel wasn't very full when we were there.

The hotel is also pretty dated especially in the hallways etc. with patches and stains on the ceiling. The rooms are however very clean, I would have left otherwise.

Unfortunately I will not be going back, there are many better alternatives in lagos around the same location and price range.

The location is half an hour drive from the airport in the early morning and one hour drive in the evening due to traffic rush. Initially it did not appear as hotel from outside- it looked like a good apartment- The picture was very nice in the inside- Room are excellent and good restaurant in the ground floor- We could get Indian dishes and the preparation was enjoyable. Staff were very helpful- I enjoyed the stay in this hotel

This is my first stay at The Moorhouse. During my previous stays in Lagos, I stayed in a different hotel (see my reviews). I decided to give The Moorhouse a try after I received a positive feedback from colleagues.
Hotel staff is nice and friendly. I was upgraded to a deluxe rooms and I spent 5 nights there. However I had to change of room twice due to different issues. My first room was just above the generators and the 2nd room had a water leak...
Rooms are spacious and bedding comfortable. It also nice to have a good size desk to work.
Bathroom is ok with a bath and a separate shower. It was not really easy to get the expected temperature from the shower. Equipment is quite old and needs some attention, repairs and/or upgrades.
Good breakfast, nice room service. I highly recommend the Prawn goat cheese risotto, really excellent.
Internet is very very slow and unstable which is really a problem when on a business trip. I would really appreciate some efforts on this.
I have not tried the pool, but the small garden + pool is a nice place for a drink.
Overall, despite several small issues, a pleasant experiences.
I will be back at The Moorhouse for my next visit.

The only positive about this hotel is the location (Ikoyi). Every other thing was a mess.

The bedsheets were old and worn out..The service was very slow.

The hotel in general lacks maintenance, will definitely not recommend to anyone. Not worth it.

Rather disappointing - tired furniture, carpet stains, light fitting hanging out the roof, I am certainly not in a hurry to return.
Housekeeping thoughtfully left me with no towels one evening, contacted front desk to ask for a towel which they very politely assured some towels would be delivered right away - except it never happened.
Breakfast somewhat disappointing and the coffee is not great.
Staff are quite friendly, but a little slow to non-existent on delivery

An oasis in the heart of bustling Lagos ! One of the only place where I feel really like home ! The entire staff from the general manager to the bell boy calls you by your name and really tries to make your stay an intima experience. The bar is the place to be around 0730 pm and meet the other guests for a drink a a chat about your day. It seems that the atmosphere at the moorhouse makes everyone feel like being part of a family ! My best stay in 3 weeks in Africa

Thanks !

AClub points were not credited automatically and I had to email a claim for receiving them. After receiving the missing A-Club points, there are still missing points as the ratio is 2 points per Euro.

As I visitor I expected that the hotel could offer a city tour or have a link with a travel agency for offering it, but unfortunately, the Moorhouse Lagos Ikoyi does not have any way of offering a city tour to its guests! I was offered a short taxi drive, which at least gave me an idea of the Lagos city and downtown but it was far of being the alternative offered by other Sofitel or McGallery properties.
It is advisable to have options handy for visitors like me, who wanted to make a tour or excursion to the Lagos city and its outskirts.

Internet access in the Business Center should be improved, specially the Microsoft IE browser, which had configuration problems.

Dear Client, We really appreciate your feedback regarding your stay at The The Moorhouse Ikoyi Lagos. About Le Club program, points have to be credit after the guest ended the stay, regarding the total amount of the stay, taxes are not included in the credit for points. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence in order to credit points right after the stay at the hotel ended. In the matter of City tours, we will not be able to recomend any Tour Company, as the standards for this type of services are just developing in the country for this moment. We appreciate all your feedback and I hope we have again the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Sincerely, Eric Houot General Manager 1 Bankole Oki Road Ikoyi-Lagos Nigeria
