We loved Nkorombo. The location was perfect for viewing the migration. It was central to every crossing point. It was also easy to get over to the Mara Triangle. The animal sightings were incredible. Our guide James was amazing. He has his Silver level guiding and knew so much. He also was great at predicting where the wildebeest were going... More

We had room 4 - beautiful views over the Mara. Could spot giraffe, zebra, elephants, antelope etc ambling past and we could hear hippos grumbling (who needs an alarm clock?!). The guide (Francis, aided by Sylvester) was excellent and all the camp staff were helpful and attentive, especially the main man who has been with Alex for 12+ years and... More

This is Alex Walkers Mobile Camp it moves every six months and follows the migration of the wildebeest. It is not a hotel like many would like but compared to camping it is pure luxury. With flush toilets and hot showers, great food and game drives to see many large mammals you will be most pleased.

We took our three sons aged 6, 8 and 12 to Serian to celebrate my 40th birthday. Not only was the accommodation perfect, the guides so helpful and the managers and other guests wonderful but on my actual birthday I was treated to a cake and an incredible dancing and singing performance by the staff. It was a fabulous safari.

We stayed at the Serian Camp June 25 - 29, 2015 and the Nkorombo Camp June 30-July 5. What a great experience ! I was wondering what tent camping would be like, the food, the animals near camp, but no worries. The chefs at both camps made excellent meals. Fresh fruit, cooked to order breakfast with eggs and sausage. Lunches... More

My wife, her 83 yo mother, my 83 yo mother and I spent a long weekend at Mara Serian in the Mara North Conservancy in early March 2015. Serian is a a boutique tented lodge with about 6 rooms/tents overlooking the Mara River. As a result the camp had lovely bird life and there was good game viewing from the... More

Having been to Serian years ago I wondered how I'd feel "going back". . It was FAR better than I had ever imagined, and continues to be one of my most favorite camps in Africa; having been on six safaris with about eighteen camps. It is going home, with Roisen and Adrian becoming family - they are such an amazing... More

What a wonderful Christmas we all spent at Serian and Nkorombo Camp in the Maasai Mara. There were 10 of us altogether and we were treated like we were the best of the best! What a Christmas, it included Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas breakfast, Christmas lunch, Christmas tea, and don't forget Christmas dinner! All the fantastic food, which really was... More

{Nkorombo should have its own separate review as its different from Serian (and Ngare) camps located in the Mara North conservancy, but i will put it here as others have until it gets it own.} This was our second stop of three Alex Walker's Serian camps. (See separate review of Ngare Serian and Alex Walker's Serian Serengeti North). This was... More

This was our last stop on safari (our third camp) and first time visit to the Mara. We could not have asked for a better experience. The tent was so comfy, the food was truly fantastic ( much of which was grown in their own organic garden) the hospitality of the two camp managers ( congrats on their recent engagement!!)... More
