Unique stay in new high quality tree and jungle houses. An indonesian-european run boutique dive resort in the Togean Islands near Bomba village, Central Sulawesi. Bomba is the hidden gem of the Togian islands as it has remained unspoilt from tourism. Very easy to reach when arriving from Ampana. The daily public speed boat Hercules brings you directly to Araya's jetty in just 45 minutes. The spacious treehouses and jungle villas have a crazy view over the Tomini Bay. They are built far away from each others providing a lot of privacy. Enjoy the sunset from your own big terrace or hang out in the dive lodge with other guests. Diving around Bomba is just pristine! Great variety of dive spots in 2 atoll reefs, the Togean barrier reef and fringing reefs. Taupan Island offers world class wall diving. We also dive in Una Una and Bomber B24 plane wreck. WELCOME!
We had an amazing couple of days diving with Araya. Eli and Pia were super friendly and professional, diving equipment was to a high standard, and the dives themselves were wonderful - huge coral walls and lots of sharks! We stayed at the nearby resort Poki Poki who dropped us off at Araya each morning and then we got taken back after we finished diving. So if you don't end up staying at Araya you can still dive with them! Highly recommend this place, thank you Eli, Pia, and your team!

Araya dive resort is one of the most amazing places I've ever visited. Their bungalows are stunning, large, clean and come with a gorgeous view! Three meals a day are included, and the food is absolutely delicious. Diving is truly stunning here too. I've never seen so many sharks in one dive! We also went diving in una-una with them, which only was a 45 minute boat ride away, and we even spotted some dolphins on the way! I absolutely loved it. They were so nice and helpful! I can't wait to come back again next year!

Perfect escape from the world - under water when diving, in the water when swimming, on the water when paddling and on the little island when enjoying the sunset in my hammock, the fresh food and a beer. Loved the underwater world, best diving ever. And we went by boat to a jellyfish lake. Not my last time at this place.

After diving at nearby una una. I was told that no other part of the Togean islands could replicate the dive sites. That turned out to be kind of true. The sites around Bomba are very very good but a shade away from the excellence of una una But the resort itself was really incredible. Percharé on a bill with floor to ceiling huge windows surrounding 3/4 of the room, it was a stunning viewpoint plus a huge balcony and hammock, the room itself was quite spacious compared to Otis dive resorts in Indo and the price was startlingly reasonable. The communal dining room was a fun place to eat even though one night I was the only guest. Loys more veggie dishes than I had been exposed too and the fish and chicken dishes were equally as fresh and delicious. The dive shop is attached to the resort and the key staff person - Isran is both a professional guide and a fun new friend. The dive sites were all within 20 min on a comfortable boat and a gray and delicious lunch was brought on board when there was a 3 dive day. Captain DIdi made sure we had safe rides My thanks to Pia and Elly for helping me with the logistics of a last minute reservation and securing boats and cars and drivers. Elly was extremely eager to be of assistance and I appreciated his staying on good touch. Araya is the closest resort to the mainland Ampana so it’s logistics are somewhat less daunting than coming from the north on Gorantolo But no matter the travel challenges, it is absolutely worth it to invest your time and money for a Togean dive experience. No hesitation in crowning Araya with 5 stars…

Responded Oct 15, 2022
Hi and thank you so much for visiting us! We dive all the time in the best dive spots around Togean, of course also including Una Una and also the most awesome plane wreck ever, the Bomber B24! We also explore all the time and find new dive spots in around Bomba and the rest of the southern part of Togean. Hope to see you again in Araya!

Originally, we had planned to only stay for a couple of days and continue island hopping. In reality, we got so hooked on Pia and Elly’s charm (😉), and Iin’s cooking, that we extended our stay to a whole week. What can I say more? There are so many things to do in this cute, cosy (gezellig) dive resort. We dived, kayak, SUP, snorkel, visited Badjo village, saw massive birds, picnicked on this beautiful island (where Elly wined and dined us- well, not literally wined, but you get it), bouldered and we were also simply relaxing (I managed to get through 3 books in a span of a week- hard for that to happen in this day and age). I can not recommend this place enough to anyone who just wants to unplug and feel in the nature. Pia and Elly and Ahmad and Iin and Didi were just amazing people who really want all of their guests to enjoy their stay and it really shines through. NOW NOW GO VISIT THEM!…

3 of us dived for the very first time with Araya Dive team, Pia and Ely. Being a bit anxious initially, Pia and Ely reassured us and allowed us to have the best experience possible. We dived along a coral wall, which was extraordinary! I totally recommend them to beginners and advanced divers.

This is the kind fo resort you wish you ended up in. Hidden gem with great diving spots, turquoise warm waters all around, very tasty home made food - locally sourced. Surrounded by jungle. There are 2 villages a boat ride away (or a jungle hike) if you feel like visiting a local village. Quiet, secluded, perfect. Diving was very professional and the dives themselves absolutely stunning. The instructors and owners are accommodating, full of local knowledge and they make you feel like you're in good hands. I spent my days between water activities and my hammock, finishing with a cold beer in the evening. Tree houses are definitely the best accommodation i found on the Togeans. Highly recommended.

Me and my wife stayed at Araya for 5 days. We had amazing time and felt very welcomed. The dives were very well organised and we saw so much! Divemaster Eis made us feel very comfortable and he found lots of small critters for us to photograph. The treehouse was hands down best accommodation we had on our Sulawesi trip.

We absolutely loved our stay at Araya! Superfriendly staff, always accommodating your wishes. Great diving with Is, the dive master. We loved the night dives in the house reef. So much life, especially around the wreck. The food was amazing. Mostly supertasty Indonesian food, but we were also surprised with salads and lasagna!!! That was so nice after traveling 3 weeks in Sulawesi. Araya was the highlight in our trip and we for sure will be back! Hopefully soon!

Great diving resort! All the diving spots I went to had amazing walls or overhangs and an abundance of colourful water life. I saw 5 sharks during my stay as well as countless other creatures. The equipment is in great shape, the dive master and the instructors are very professional and patient. The food is delicious, local and plenty full. Great fresh fish! The tee houses have the most incredible views - you won’t find better accommodation in the Togieans. This all combined with warm hospitality makes for an unforgettable stay.
