We stayed for a night and really enoyjed the room and the quitness. It is in the center os Psarades, Prespes and you can take a lot of walks from there. The people were friendly and the breakfast was superb, at very low cost.
There is no reception but when we arrived in the village a local walked past and rang Petros, the Manager, to come and meet us. A few minutes later Petros arrived and showed us to our room. Petros doesn't speak English and our Greek is terrible so it was fun meeting him and trying to communicate. Psarades is a lovely place to stay, the walks are gorgeous, the view is lovely over the lake and the locals are welcoming. Everything about our stay was lovely including this hotel. Not sure what happened with breakfast but we were happy to have breaky with the locals rather than at the hotel. I would recommend staying here.
As I arrived, I was welcomed by the owner.. He was very friendly, even told me I could choose the room I would stay in. So I did, getting the largest one :) The only disadvantage of the whole scenery is that it is located 45 minutes from Florina, the state capital, where all the transportation is. Yet, if you want to go somewhere quiet, this place is excellent. The wild life in the Prespa Lake is magnificent. Birds of all kinds, fish etc. I took a boat tour around the lake, took some great photos of pelicans and egrets. Overall, it was a very relaxing experience, with the hotel playing a large part on it, with it's calm traditional architecture and location. + the food there is great!
but it could be better if peter look after it little more not too much things ... some details that would give an air of more hospitable situation it is an excellent building at the center of the village with not spacy but warm rooms with clear enough toilets you could make a breakfast into the kitchenette at the entrance but there is a spacy room which could be done breakfast room and reading or leisure room but peter had abandoned it shame i hope he will think it for the future because it could be have a diamond in this isolated area where only agios germanos is being known but fishermen village is much more beautiful and picturesque. but first of all peter is a good man always trying to help and serve you whatever you need in his coffe shop on the road front of the lake thanks a lot peter for your hospitality hercules rika kostantinos and ralou…
