I stayed one night. Hard to fault. Best value at CLP20000 for the night with bathroom. Secure parking. TV and even a nice duvet on the bed. Immaculately clean. The breakfast was excellent. Great place. Highly recommend. Not much ch of a town but great place to stay

I was staying in chañaral because i wantend to visit pan de azucar. Don't stay in chanaral for the city, there is nothing to see. Hostel pan de azucar is owned by a very nice Chilean man, who took really good care of me and made me feel at home. He prepares really nice breakfast and he even offered me some bread at night. Such a sweetheart. The rooms are also very clean. I paid 20.000 pesos which is quite a lot compared to hostels in other cities, bus I don't think you can find hostels much cheaper here. And I got a private room, bathroom, tv, breakfast and nice talks for it. From the busterminal just take a collectivo to the hostel, it costs only 500 pesos (less then 1 dollar). When I was there there was no wifi, but I believe that was temporary.

This Hostal was all I could ask for: comfortable beds, super clean, calm, there is a lovely terrace and the breakfast was good! Close to the supermarket and the road that leads to the park Pan de Azucar (beautiful), all walking. The two owners are funny, more than helpfull and they really care about the people staying there. I have only positive to say!

We arrived in the early evening and got our tickets for the next trip. To our great surprise our host came to fetch us to walk us to the hostal. Rooms were clean, big and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was cooked by the owner willy :) what more to ask for!
