We went to celebrate a birthday weekend. This was selected as a surprise destination from my husband. And voila! What a destination this was.....charming yet adventurous, sophisticated yet vibrating. The owner Mr. Mahaveer Singh Bhati is a young, diligent man who is always ready to listen to your queries and resolving them. The staff is highly courteous. I would particularly mention Mr. Ranjit Singh and Mr. Jagdish.

Food is lip-smacking and dot on time. Local musicians and dancers performing under the crystal clear moon light was an experience in itself. But the main attraction obviously is camel ride and open jeep safari in sand dunes. Drivers are well-trained and will make you feel safe. We tried our Tata Safari in the desert and the driver Mr. Bhom Singh gave us proper instructions throughout. The place is kids friendly and safe. They have both tent and room options. For chilly weather like January opt for rooms if you have kids. However, living in tents is a sort of adventure which one would definitely like to try.

Do carry a good camera if you want to capture awesome views, especially mesmerizing sunset and moon-rise simultaneously. Sky there is vibrant blue and zero pollution felt in the air.

The experience was nice.
We stayed for one night and opted for rooms than swiss tents as per my last experience in 2017, it was unbearably cold in tents.
Room (no 101) had all the basic amenities. it was clean. Bathroom was also clean. There was no tissue paper holder and exhaust fan in bathroom. Also the water flow was very low in shower and taps, that need to be corrected.
Service was good.
Camel safari was also good. It was included in our package.
Night cultural program was awesome.
Their swimming pool area is beautiful. Though we did not get the time to use this, but the area around was scenic.
Their food is especially nice, tasty and sumptuous.
Dinner buffet was really great with lots of varieties (daals, vegetables, kadhi, gatte ki sabzi etc)They also serve good non veg food.
The thing i liked most was the breakfast. They made it really fresh and we had it in the basking sun during early morning. They served stuffed parathas with dahi, delicious poha and yummy ghee wala upma, and on our special request they also served us omelete and bread.
So all in all, very good experience, Would recommend and wouldn't mind going back again for third time in future!

SAFARI CAMP OSIAN- surprisingly exceeded our expectations in all respect. Right from the hospitality shown by the staff to the location, the lip snacking food n the beautiful soothing cultural program. The owner, Mr Mahavir Singh Ji is extremely polite, professional and accommodating. The desert safari was indeed the highlight for me and my brother, thanks to our skilled daredevil of a driver Mr Bhom Singh, who will take care of your adrenaline rush needs.

Tip- u may encounter young local chaps aged below 10-12 yrs of age. Dont be afraid of the young souls when they offer to take some pictures from your phone. Those guys are really talented and can give the city photographers a run for their money. God bless them.

This camp will definitely change your outlook towards the desert of Thar after you leave with the cherished memories of a beautiful sunset belly full of sumptuous food and getting much more than what you had originally asked for. I thank Mahavir Ji and his entire team🙏🙏.

The resort is very well maintained, the tents are comfortable and clean. Even a hot month like April the heat is not a problem as the tents are provided of a cooler which refreshes the tent inside. The cultural event in the evening was amazing with great musicians. The dinner was excellent, but there were only a few choices for lunch (which is not included in the package) and for breakfast which by the way was very bad. During the meal time we always had one person of the staff behind us waiting for us to finish the food and clean the table, this of course made us quite uncomfortable. The staff is not well organized in general and all the guys there seem not to be efficient and professional enough (by the way not one single person of the staff speaks English).
Regarding the surrounding natural environment, you don't really feel to be in a real desert as there is a lot of vegetation around the camp and there are only a few sand dunes (also dirty btw) and during the short camel safari you always meet other people from other resorts who are doing the same thing in the small desert spot available for this activity. During the night we also heard constantly the train passing by Osian and some loud music. Overall a good experience with pros and cons.

Khamma Ghani, dear fellow tourists on a short break to Jodhpur.
The desert safari camp was the illusion of desert near Jodhpur for tourists with either budget or time constraints. Most of the tourists want to see the sand and camels in Rajasthan, but are surprised to find that desert is all the way in Jaisalmer. This trip would entail 6-7 hours of travel time by road from Jodhpur. This is where OSIAN comes in play , also called the gateway to Thar by the imaginative travel writers. There are 3-4 desert camps in close proximity offering similar fare. I.e Camel and Jeep safaris in make believe sand dunes. The tents are adequate with running water and seating area. However the nearby camps belt out loud Hindi film music till late at night. This camp has good rajasthani cultural live music and dancing. The camp is a strictly one night experience and any more will be a waste of time. Food is extremely oily, but the staff are willing to accommodate requests for eggs and stuff like pakora. Carry your own booze as the fare available is KF beer. overall would like to caution people to visit it as a break from jodhpur’s monuments . Do not think you are going to the desert. The 3 stars are for lack of general amenities and food options and the close proximity to other camps with poor sense of peace and quite. The service is good and the staff does serve with a smile.

Safari Camp has given an amazing experience and homely atmosphere to us. After a lot of research I selected them and i was no wrong. Mahaveer Singh ji and his staffs are working hard to give you the best possible experiences and atmosphere. Camel safari and sunset view was planned meticulously and managed really well. Grateful to every staffs who took good care of my 3 year old daughter. Tents and cottages are maintained well with basic required facilities and the entire campus has been kept really clean which is a tough job though. The evening cultural program and refreshments are also well arranged. If you want to spend some quality time with everyday hustle from city life, this is a must visit place during your travel to Jodhpur.

Only one point for improvement: oil in all food items were on little higher side.
For this reason only my rating will be 4.5, otherwise it's a perfect 5.

We were a group of 10 college friends who visited Osian. The resort people were very prompt, 2 jeeps were waiting at the bus stand to pick us up. We were welcomed in the traditional way with music and all, which was followed by a cultural group with great folk music and Kal-beliya dance. It was so good that we couldn't stop ourselves from dancing. This was followed by a very delicious dinner, with every dish hot and delicious. We spent most of the night under the clear starry sky, and went dune bashing during the sunrise. We also had camel rides in the desert. Overall a very happy trip with very good hosts. The rates charged were also very reasonable. Kudos to the Safari Camp team.

The property is well maintained. All the staff here are all-rounder in the sense they drive, serve food, does house-keeping and everything else you can think of. Very courteous staff. We stayed in the rooms and it had very basic facilities. The beds would make creaking sound, no landline phones to reach the staff - either you have to walk down to reception or go out of the room to find help. Desert Safari and Camel ride was excellent but then that was not a part of property experience per se. The traditional Folk dance arranged by the property was good. Food was excellent.

It was a very nice experience, great desert safari organized, nice programs, excellent food, staffs took very good care. A must see place. I missed some document, they found and courierd me. Very friendly staff.

The rajasthan music organized with dance and camp fire is excellent. The camp has desert safari with discounted rates, my son enjoyed a lot. The camel safari is included in our package, the riders helped us a lot in camel safari.

It was a nice sunset and sunrise in the desert view.
The food given in the buffet both break fast were top notch, the best we had in Rajasthan trip.

The Swiss tent is very secured with hot water connection, cosy bed and quilt, it was a once in a life time experience to stay in desert in a Swiss tent.

It was a fun filling memorable, different experience worth every rupee spent, and even more...

We were group of 12 people who travelled from Delhi to Osian for 2 night stay trip. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of the way to accommodate us. They specially prepared Rajasthani traditional lunch on demand for us, which was delicious and served with so much love. The evening programs were entertaining. So if you want a good desert safari experience, this place comes highly recommended from us.
