We really enjoyed our stay on this tiny island where there is no need for fancy clothes or shoes. From the beginning, we were surrounded by the attention of the staff and enjoyed the surprises associated with my birthday, which I celebrated on the day of arrival. We spent 9 nights there and chose the FB type of catering. The price of the drinks was extra, but their selection and prices were quite reasonable. We really liked the type of catering - a la cart. It was a great pleasure to have lunch and dinner with the personal waiter. The food at the restaurant, run by a chef from Sri Lanka, was varied and delicious, beautifully presented. Breakfast was buffet style, but there were plenty of food choices and very tasty fruit. We liked the fact that there were very few people on the island, the bungalows were comfortable and cleaned twice a day. The private beach patio has sun loungers and chairs and direct ocean views. The island is small, it has a total of 37 bungalows, a lot of greenery and various animals - lizards, crabs, bats, birds. We especially liked that there was enough depth nearby for swimming, a white sand beach and some amazing home reefs. While diving we saw a lot of beautiful fish, turtles and even beach sharks. We will definitely recommend Makunudu Island to our friends and look forward to coming back on our own.

Very impressed with this hotel, cannot say one bad word. There is a house reef just a few mins swim away from the room which is beautiful and has a lot to offer - we saw on a daily basis massive sharks (around 5-10 a day), turtles (around 6-8 a day), sting rays, eagle rays, morenas, octopus, lobsters, lots of nemo fish and lots of other beatiful and colourful fish. The food was also great - set menu at dinner with five courses (felt like a michelin restaurant) with buffet breakfast which was super good. Both the sunset and sand bar were very nice and the house wine was realy good too. All the staff was very nice, kind and helpful. We would definitely be returning to this hotel again.

the island is a paradise !!! The staff have no words to thank them, we had to reschedule the trip 4 times due to the covid, we had booked to travel in July in low season and the hotel agreed to reschedule us for the end of the year without paying additional, when the agency where we took it wanted us cancel, Arjay the hotel reservations manager interceded and said that the hotel was going to respect our reservation despite the rescheduling, always helping and guiding us. The island is a wonder, a paradise within a paradise that is the Maldives! The super comfortable room with direct access to the beach and all the comforts, well Maldivian style the bungalow enchanted us !! The food is delicious and super varied, all top quality !! I did scuba diving with Ricardo and he was incredible, a super experienced diver and with all the best vibes for one to have an incredible moment !! The resort is small, it has only 37 bungalows, which makes one feel like family with the warmth of the staff! We went with my wife and our 1 and 3-year-old children who are not very well behaved, always all with a smile, helping us, trying to collaborate with what we need, making us feel at home !!! Ideal to go with the family, as a couple !!! It also has a wonderful reef full of color !! Snorkeling I saw reef sharks between 2 and 3 meters, turtles, rays and all kinds of fish of different sizes and colors !!! The spectacular spa gave my wife and me the best massages of our lives !!! I spent my 38th birthday in Makunudu they did everything to make it special !!! They decorated our room, they made me a cake and they all came to sing me happy birthday at dinner, they gave me an exquisite wine, in short they did everything possible to make me feel special on my day !!!! I want to thank all the staff for the treatment they gave me and my family and especially Arjay who even with his help surely the trip would not have been possible and he was always there for us in everything we need, super grateful to him !! ! Supet I recommend this resort you will spend the best vacations of your lives !!!!

Clean rooms, friendly staff, food is great. Beautiful house reef, turtles can be seen feeding from the house reef all the time. Needs to improve inhouse activities, adding some games would help. Spa is fully booked during our stay, so cannot say anything regarding that.
