This is a family-run hotel. I stayed here on an organised hiking trip. The manager -Georgi- is extremely charming, and speaks excellent English. The hotel is well-appointed and squeaky clean. It has a pool -reasonably substantial for a hotel this size- set in a well-tended and attractive garden. The food is tasty and home-cooked by Georgi's mother, who also looks after the garden. They sell local wine, which I enjoyed. I would definitely recommend it.
We stayed at this hotel during a week long enduro holiday with Trail2Extreme. Georgi and his family hotel was excellent, clean and tidy rooms with great views of the mountains, breakfast and evening meals were really nice. Georgi couldn’t do enough for us all (10 guests). Will definitely be staying again in the near future. Thanks.
Georgi and his family are great hosts. We a group of 10 were riding locally with Trail2Extreme and stayed in the hotel. The breakfast and evening meals were all great and fresh. The rooms and the entire hotel were clean and tidy. Georgi went out of his way to get some requested drinks and his fluency in English is really helpful. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you!
This is truly a hidden gem. This family run hotel is a bit out of the way of the main attractions in the Rila Mountains (Rila Monastery is about an hours drive) but that’s exactly the charm of this hotel: if you’re looking for unspoilt landscapes, this is the place to be. Walk 200 metres up the road and you’ll find yourself in a beautiful alpine valley; drive fifteen minutes and you enter the most beautiful part of the Rila Mountains. Rooms are perfectly clean and they have a swimmingpool but what makes this hotel so special is the family that runs it: they are not only nice and very helpful, they also know a lot about the area, and mother is a great cook. If you plan to visit Rila Mountains, go here!
George provided us with a great appartment with 2 bedroom with the most wonderful view from our balcony where we could see the mountains. The rooms were very comfortable and the towels and sheets were changed on a regular basis. The price was just amazingly cheap but the quality was first class. George was so helpful and provided great advice on the local area. The hotel benefits from having a great swimming pool which we all enjoyed using. George and his lovely family including his brother, and his mother and father run the hotel. On 2 nights we had their evening meal which I think was the best in the area and very traditional. Goverdartsi is a wonderful place to make as your base as there are so many places to visit. We did some local hiking as well as borrow some great mountain bikes that George has for hire. I can't think of anything I didn't like about our stay.…
me and my son enjoyed very very much 4 wonderful days in the hotel. My son already travelled in the world. me too. but this was something else we got personal treatment wonderful dishes which i already miss them The place is surounded places to visit in nature iRECOMAND THIS HOTEL 100%
We two British brothers were staying nearby, but dined several times at this family hotel. We cannot rate it too highly, for friendliness of welcome, the hospitality of the hosts, and the authentic cuisine that we enjoyed so much. Next time I am in Bulgaria I shall most certainly spend some nights here.
A group of 9 riders + our guide stayed at the Djambazki Family Hotel. From here we did dayly mountain bike trips in the region. The hosts were very generous and well intentioned, in spite of lack of a common language. Great breakfast, picnic lunch, and wonderful home-cooked dinners after a day biking. The room was adequate, very clean, but minimal in size, nowhere to comfortably sit down and read or work on pc. The bathroom was ok, but lacking a curtain for the shower.
Georgi and the rest of his family made us feel like honored guests in their home in the Rila Mountain village of Govedartsi. Our goal in this mountain range was to hike it’s spectacular trails and see the famous Rila Monastery. Georgi’s fluency in English made it easy to communicate and he gave us plenty of tips on where to go and how to get there. We were glad we rented a car because there is very little public transportation in this region and a car allowed us to go wherever we wanted whenever it suited us. The Rila Mountains are a year-round destination. There is skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. We were there in October. The days were sunny, the nights were cool, and the leaves on the trees were showing their fall colors. The whole family played a part in making this hotel so wonderful. Georgi is the manager. He is always around to answer your questions. His mother cooks delicious Bulgarian recipes. His father plays the accordion, and his brother is a friendly, interesting person, with the mind of a philosopher. All of them are very friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are large. There is plenty of hot water but it takes a while to kick in. The lobby and dining area are decorated like a museum of Bulgarian folklore, and the grounds have a large swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi. I highly recommend this hotel but it is in an isolated location without public transportation, so I strongly encourage guests to use a rental car to get there.…
We would have liked to stay in this cozy, warm B&B and take advantage of the swimming pool after a hard hiking day but unfortunately we had just an amazing dinner. The owner advised some typical dishes and we enjoyed very much! Definitely recommended...
