Georgi and his family are great hosts. We a group of 10 were riding locally with Trail2Extreme and stayed in the hotel.
The breakfast and evening meals were all great and fresh. The rooms and the entire hotel were clean and tidy. Georgi went out of his way to get some requested drinks and his fluency in English is really helpful.
Will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

We stayed at this hotel during a week long enduro holiday with Trail2Extreme. Georgi and his family hotel was excellent, clean and tidy rooms with great views of the mountains, breakfast and evening meals were really nice. Georgi couldn’t do enough for us all (10 guests). Will definitely be staying again in the near future. Thanks.

This is truly a hidden gem. This family run hotel is a bit out of the way of the main attractions in the Rila Mountains (Rila Monastery is about an hours drive) but that’s exactly the charm of this hotel: if you’re looking for unspoilt landscapes, this is the place to be. Walk 200 metres up the road and you’ll find yourself in a beautiful alpine valley; drive fifteen minutes and you enter the most beautiful part of the Rila Mountains.
Rooms are perfectly clean and they have a swimmingpool but what makes this hotel so special is the family that runs it: they are not only nice and very helpful, they also know a lot about the area, and mother is a great cook.
If you plan to visit Rila Mountains, go here!

We would have liked to stay in this cozy, warm B&B and take advantage of the swimming pool after a hard hiking day but unfortunately we had just an amazing dinner.
The owner advised some typical dishes and we enjoyed very much!
Definitely recommended...

If you want a great base to explore the Rila mountains, and feel the genuine Bulgarian hospitality - this is it! The hotel is very well equiped with nice rooms, and the 10m pool is excellent for relaxing after a walk in the mountains. We were a large family group of 7 from 3 generations, and had a great time. Day trips to Malyovitza, Seven Rila Lakes and nearby main resort Borovetz can be tuned to your preferences and ambitions - from gentle walks suitable for 80 yr old to more ambitious hiking. The hosts provided valuable advice and suggestions, checking which lifts are working, and steering us away from roads unsuitable for our cars (which Internet mapping cheerfully suggsted we should take :-). There are also opportunities for mountain biking and other activities. In winter, all great skiing options are also there.
While everything in the hotel is being run very professionally, you also get the friendly service and personal attention from the whole family, which makes you feel more like a house guest than a generic customer. The food is fantastic, and a great way to enjoy the real home-made Bulgarian cuisine.

My partner and I stayed at Hotel Djambazki in September for a week of rest and exploration of the Rila national park. The stunning landscape of the mountians was also available to us as scenery viewed from our apartment bedroom window at the Djambazki's. Waking up to this every morning and enjoying the kind and warm hospitality of the family made our stay there a fantastic experience.

The most delicious and enjoyable meals we had in our travels around the area's towns and cities, were at the Djambazki's, and equally as important: the best coffee!
The hotel is an island of beauty and peace among these majestic mountains. highly recommended!

Our family of three stayed at Hotel Djambazki in August as part of a trip including time in the Rila, Pirin and Rhodope mountains of Bulgaria. We used Hotel Djambazki as our base for exploring the Rila Mountains. This family hotel is by far the most quaint and atmospheric in Govedartsi. It is located only a few km's from major hiking trails into the Rila Natl Park. Run by two adult sons and their parents, it is ultra clean and the food in its adorable mehana was probably the most delicious we had on our three week trip. Wonderful. Our very lovely room had a skylight so that we could look out at cows in the morning quietly ringing their bells. Additionally the hotel has a delightful jacuzzi and pool. Brother Georgi, who speaks great English, made great efforts to provide directions to places from which to start hiking, and also arranged transportation. That made our stay there even more perfect. We strongly recommend Family Hotel Djambazki to travelers visiting the Rila Mountains. Govedartsi makes a peaceful, charming base from which to explore.

We stayed for 5 nights at this wonderful hotel in Govedartsi. Georgi and his family were so welcoming. He spoke perfect English and so was able to inform us about Bulgarian culture. The rooms were clean and spacious. The home prepared food was all Bulgarian favourites, fresh and plentiful. One of us is vegetarian but this was no problem.
The garden and pool were an oasis with great views of the mountains.

Hospitality and comfort here is second to none. We had the most wonderful stay with the Djambazki family during our hiking through Bulgaria and were so sad to leave. Georgi and his mother were accommodating in every way, and we will miss the amazing Bulgarian dinners. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the Govedartsi town.

It is a family run hotel, offering hospitality which you can find only when visiting your parents :)!
We stayed there 3 nights at the beginning of May and left with excellent impressions. The house is of very good location to the nearest places of interest - Borovetz, Beli Iskar eco path, Samokov, Malyovitsa.
The room was very comfortable, clean and cosy. There is a nice garden with a swimming pool which we could not try because of the season. The food is very tasty, home made and at a very good price. Typical Bulgarian cuisine, prepared at the moment.
However what made us really impressed and made our stay really nice is the hospitality of our hosts. They were there all the time, chatting with us, giving advice where to go, pleasing us, answering all our questions.
We highly recommend it to all!

"Ask for a room away from the main road. Although there isn't a lot of traffic on the road, there is some and it can be loud. Our room was on the side and it was fine."
