We enjoyed our stay a lot- quiet place , but situated perfectly for day trips to Sandanski, Melnik, Rupite , Rozhen etc. Sarah was very polite and welcoming host. We stayed in the rooms on the second floor , but there a also the option to sleep in a tent or come with a camper. We definitely want to come back :)

We stopped off here on the way from the Greek coast to Sofia - travelling along the new road that runs from Thessaloniki. Kromidovo is just inside the Bulgarian border, so a perfect stop off point to relax and sample the Bulgarian mountains, wildlife and culture.

We stayed in the rooms in the house, which were very clean, charming and comfortable. All the facilities like shower and kitchen were modern and just what we needed, and the gardens and outdoor seating/bbq areas made me wish I could stay much longer. This was mainly due to the hospitable and friendly nature of John and Sara who were always ready to offer advice on the local area and were great company over meals and drinks.

I loved the wildlife around the village - from the woodpeckers drumming on a nearby tree over breakfast and swallows swooping overhead to the 'song' of the cicadas (tree crickets) at nighttime - very soothing and you know you're in the countryside when you hear this.

There is a natural thermal spring swimming pool just up the road (few minutes walk), which is just amazing for such a small, unassuming village. If this natural feature was in the UK it would have been bought up long ago and made inaccessible to all but the very rich. If you stay here you should also visit the nearby winery - an impressive building shaped like a barrel, where you can buy organic wine by the bottle at very good prices.

All in all a great place to stay, whether camping or otherwise. John and Sara have done a great job in providing modern, comfortable facilities with a charming and relaxed feel, It's in a handy location for anyone travelling between Bulgaria and Greece or Macedonia, but I'd also go out of my way to get there.

We stayed at Camping Kromidivo for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. We camped in the field but there were rooms available inside. They are conveniently located just off the new highway which meant for easy access to and from the village. The campsite is complete with modern toilet block and a community kitchen, perfect for backpackers like ourselves without kitchen utensils. The host were on hand to answer any of our questions and also to hang out and share stories with in the evenings over a beer. The pool at the bottom of the road was a great way to cool off at any point during those hot days.

We had a wonderful stay at Kamping Kromidovo. John and Sara were great hosts and answered all of our (many, many) questions. The property and garden are beautiful and the rooms are cozy. The kitchen is well-stocked - I was VERY happy to have a stick blender to use after many months of traveling.

The house is located 10 minutes walking from a great organic winery and about 5k from another nice winery. There is very little nearby in terms of grocery or restaurants, but if you have a car, there are nearby towns that have options.

It may sound a bit strange, but one of our highlights was showering in the town shower. The water had gone out when we arrived and our only option for showing was in the natural thermal shower. It was an incredibly unique experience and had a perfect view of the mountains.

Poppy, the dog provided great company for us and our dog, as did Mr. Cat, the local semi-stray.

We enjoyed our stay at Camping (and B&B) Kromidovo al lot, very relaxed. The breakfast is a do it yourself, just take what you want from the fridge. The dinner was prepared for us and has been great, including beers and wines, bbq, moussaka etc and good company. It is more like staying with friends than in a hostel/hotel. The location offers a lot of options for things to do, even a swimming pool very close by. For things further away (e.g. Melnik) you can use their bikes. Be aware that they still are in the process of setting things up, so it is not all finished, which to us gave it even more charm. Our room was a finished one, the others were 'less' finished, but for these prices you won't complain. Camping is also a nice option, plenty of space. Showers and toilets are shared but nice and clean. A relaxing place to stay and also a good location if you are on your way to/from Greece.

Lovely campsite, warm welcome, very close to hot springs swimming pool and friendly snack bar. We had an introduction to the local organic wines and bought a few bottles.
Very eco friendly and comforting to see so much recycling compared with elsewhere we'd been in the Balkans.

The campsite is in the village of Kromodovo, and is a garden of a house, the English owners make you very welcome. The facilities are very good and it is very peaceful. Only maybe 10 pitches and accommodation is also available in the house.

After a visit of melnik we was surprised about this little paradise. Just relaxing and enjoy your holiday. Top sanitary, places under tarps and a fireplace and sunshine ;-) More than a recommendation...

Sara and John, the owners, were great hosts. I stayed for 2 nights. We had dinner together and I pretty much enjoyed the mineral pool at the village. There are also many wineries nearby since it's a wine region. Definitely a place to stop by on your way to Greece!
