Dear friends, What can we say about Orbel? Architecture, rooms, atmosphere, mineral water – it is enough seeing the pictures. But let us focus you on those two or three things you can not see, but you can feel if you trust us and come to visit our hotel. So: Everybody needs time spend for themselves, to “recharge the batteries” or just to indulge themselves a little bit – along with friends, colleagues of with the family. Opposite to the madness of the city, here you can hear your thoughts, gain energy from the mountain and face Pirin, Rila and Rodopi in front of you. Nature has given enough to this region, but we are the ones who will give you the small things to make you feel like at home. Our crew is cheerful and devoted, because we all know how important your time spent on vacation is. Our biggest reward is to know that you will come back to your routine full of joy and positive energy. See you soon!

✅ Polite staff and great service; Beautiful and well maintained garden - football, basketball, tennis court yards and a lot of other children amenities; Beautiful surrounding scenery; Breakfast and cleanliness were okay; Free parking; Restaurant prices were average/okay ❌ Hotel looks more like 3* and not 4* ; Furniture is quite oldish and worn out /but not so bad/; Not so many food choices for dinner and not very tasty

The only decent thing about this place is that they have a pool and a spa center, we loved the steam room and sauna. Downsides are abundant, this may be a family place but having children yelling all through the night and knocking on our door at 4am as part of some game between them was ridiculous. The food was lacking for both breakfast and dinner, more than half of it served cold. I think the only people that actually enjoy it here are the parents of small children that let them run around while they relax somewhere else. I would not come back here, especially for how much I paid- the floor I’m on currently has over 10 children and I’ve only seen one adult with them. Even if you are a parent or are used to kids, nothing will prepare you for how little this place cares about the disrespect they show for other people paying to stay here.

It is a small comfortable hotel. The price is good, the location is amazing, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly and helpful. There are nice playground for kids, beautiful backyard with volleyball and football yards, inside and outside pools and spa area - steam bath, sauna, massage, jacuzzi... I didn't give it 5 points because: - double size bed without double size bed sheets - they offer two single size sheets instead - the knives in the restaurant are blunt and it is very hard work to cut your meat - there are only small number of dishes in the restaurant's menu, the breakfast was almost the same in 3 days, two days in a row the have offered same meal for lunch pre-cooked menu... but the food is well made and very delicious, I love it. And they also offer fresh caught trout, I recommend the fryed one - the toilet paper is cheap one - thin and useless Two very positive things - the provided us a baby bed and they have changed its sheets twice in 4 days - my wife had a birthday day during our stay there. Obviously the receptionists have noticed this in her ID card during the check-in and at the day we have found a bottle of wine in our room with hotel's compliments The overall impression is good. I'll definitely visit it again. I highly recommend this place.

Our family of four, including two teenage sons, stayed at Hotel Orbel for two reasons; first to avoid the crowds in Bankso and secondly to have great access to hiking in the Pirin Mountains. We selected a split level apartment with two bedrooms. The views from the balconies were spectacular. At the end of the day we could enjoy the outdoor pool and indoor facilities; sauna, steam bath, etc. The staff are great, very helpful. To put it simply, a great place to relax after a long day of activity. We liked the restaurant and the breakfast, included in the price, was very good.

I like Dobrinishte a lot and the hotel is located in the end of the town, benefiting a nice panorama view of it and no houses, etc behind, just meadows and the mountain. The hotel outdoors provide playground for sports and for kids. Rooms were very comfortable and cosy, with a balcony. SPA area was clean enough. I didnt like the restaurant - though the service was good, the whole atmosphere is like an oldish restaurant from the socialism times, and smoking is allowed in the area that is used as a walkway between the hotel buildings.

Nice room but a bit expensive. The restaurant needs more care considering a four stars hotel. We waited one hour to get a chicken kavarma whereas the rest of the meal was served correctly. What a surprise! What a disappointment!

Well, this is The best hotel for a family vacation with kids in BG, based on my experience. Staff is very friendly and used to small children and the hotel itself is safe for them. Nice playing grounds both in and out. In winter ski runs are 15 min away (by car, shuttle - Bansko) and in summer - 3 (three) mountains are near by. Warm mineral water in the inner pool (+jakuzzi). I'm not sure about the outer one, as we have never used it so far. Restaurant is acceptable, and many others within 10 min walk. Great value for money.

Because the hotels we know in Bansko were closed at the end of the season, we decided to try something different and searched for a hotel in a nearby town. We saw good reviews on Hotel Orbel Spa, Dobrinishte seemed like a nice little town so we decided to give it a try and booked there for one night. It was a mixed experience, wtih some positive aspects and others less so. Dobrinishte is a very cute little town but unfortunately run down, like many other towns we visited here. Many houses are almost in ruins and the roads have many pot holes. Despite that, it is quite charming and the location, in a valley surrounded by hills and the mountains covered in snow is beautiful. It is good that there are signs showing the direction for the hotel because it is at the end of the town, having the nicest view. There is a car park in front of the hotel so it is easy and safe to park. The hotel itself is built in Bulgarian style, with nice wooden balconies and pretty roof, there are two almost identical buildings. The reception is small, the lobby facing it is quite tired and faded and the impression is of a place which has seen better days, We were taken to a room with two single beds when we asked for double bed but that was it so we didn't argue more than that. The all impression of a faded, slightly dusty and shabby place increased and it is a shame because it could be much better than that. I think that with just a little effort the place could be turned shabby chic and romantic because it has a lot of nice features and interesting antiques around. The wood furniture are quite nice but all the soft furnishing has to be changed. Our room had a nice tiny balcony where I was happy to sit a little at the end of a long day, seeing a stork flying by, a shepherd with its flock of sheep and goats, some cows, it was all very pastoral and lovely, like a Constable painting. We went for dinner in the hotel dining area which is large, the food was reasonably good and the ingredients fresh so that was pleasant. In the morning, the breakfast was served in the same dining room, it was a buffet because there was a group staying in the hotel, the choice was limited and not great. For the night, there is something very strange in this hotel. The balconies are lighted the all night long by a red light, the curtains are thin, without black out or shutters and this red light disturbed me, I didn't sleep well. As a whole, this hotel has some charm and good points but it would need a complete shake up. There is a pool with mineral water and spa but I cannot comment because I didn't use it.
