Excellent service, enough space for children. Kitchen - excellent and reasonable prices. The place is suitable for relaxation during all seasons. In the SPA center work really good experts - I liked massages and physiotherapy there . I was there seven days and I will visit the hotel again.
The lobby is nicely made, and kind staff. We got 2 rooms, and both were dirty. The cleaners come into the room and don't clean, they just change the towels. The inside pool is closed and even not filled with water or anything, they were still painting it, slowly. The rooms have kinda nice terraces. Both pools are dirty, the pools have filters that are closed so you swim with all kinds of junk. The food at the Hotel's restaurant is good, but a bit too expensive. For this price, you can go somewhere better.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend this hotel as everything just looks so old. If you’re looking for something quiet and more relaxing, I don’t think this is the place. Ambience - I felt like it’s a place mostly for elderly. Like home for elderly. Room - we got the 1st floor therefore it’s very near to breakfast area and it can be very noisy. The facilities look so old Facilities - they have big pool but it’s not so inviting as it really looks old in reality, doesn’t look clean and the tiles smell so bad that you just want to get out the place immediately. Even the breakfast area, inside look so dark, messy and dirty. When we got there, a lot of people and it can be pretty noisy. Food - good variety of food but not so appetising due to its presentation or how they serve it on their big tables. They serving instant coffee in a coffee machine. Staff - didn’t encounter with their staff much so can’t tell anything. Price - we booked on the day itself, so it can be pricey but not worth it. Nearby Attractions - it’s pretty near to the park and other free mineral water access. This is my personal opinion - perhaps other people might like the place but not for me.…
This isn't a luxury spa sadly but it's ok. There's good such a warm indoor pool with slide for children but it's let down by few loungers, lots of chairs. Reception barely speaks English and there are no English language TV channels. However you don't have a safe in the room but there are some at reception ( I think 36 for the whole hotel so get one when you check in) and we needed to ask for and rent the bath robes. Spa treatments are good. Restaurant isn't but there are restaurants within walking distance. Take some coffee and milk as there is a kettle in the room and you might want a better coffee than what's at breakfast.
I come often to Hisaria and I’m currently staying at the hotel. I’m qute happy with the quality of the services offered – really good value for my money. It is good to know that this is the only 3 stars hotel with mineral water pools on that prices in Hisaria. Great location, nice and big indoor pool, good breakfast too. Free parking, good Wi-Fi coverage as well. Vacation in Hisaria during the autumn is always a good idea.
Nostalgic hotel, which brings you back to the end of communism with interior and exterior, the rooms are relatively small and do not shine with anything.Really nice indoor pools but with less good hygiene The children's pool is always full of people who have no place there the strange thing is that no one remarks them. The losers are "present", but ...? The restaurant boasts in the BALKANTURIST era - charming!!??PARKING area is wide and safe!!!
I spend a weekend with my family and we have absolute joy during time spended. The services were good for a tree star hotel. We've spend most of the time on the outdoor pool, the water was great, it was clean and not very crowded. The breakfast was nice too, and also there was a evening entertainment at the restaurant during dinner time which surprised us nicely. We will come again!
I've spent one night in this hotel two years ago on a conference and I could say the rooms are not what you could expect for the price they charge you. By far. Yesterday me and my family went there to spend a day in the SPA center. Pool areas were alright, clean enough. It was the restaurant that shocked us when we went there for lunch. We sat on a table outside and waited for 20 minutes expecting that someone would notice us. Since it didn't happen, I turned to a waiter to ask for a menu and I was shouted at with an angry gesture to wait, as if it was the most natural thing. After 10 more minutes we finally had the menu. Prices are double compared to a restaurant in Plovdiv, however the quality of food is poor. The menu is Balkantourist style. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the waiter to come and take our order. Then, another 15 minutes, although we ordered food from the preorder lunch menu, which supposed that the food was already cooked. Finally, the waiter brought us salads but gave us no utensils. He just came almost running to the table, droped the plates with salads and run back, not hearing us calling him to ask for forks and spoons. So we had to go and serve ourselves bringing utensils. Then our soups came, with no spoons of course. Finally our drinks came, but only half of them, and the wrong type of juices... We asked for spoons and the rest of our drinks, and had to wait 10 more minutes for it. A storm came then, and instead of helping clients to get inside the restaurant, the whole personnel started picking up the covers from the tables, leaving all clients take their dishes and glasses inside by themselves under the pouring rain. Finally, we had to wait more to receive our bill, and then wait some more for the change. The change was less than expected, so we had to wait some 15 mins more to get the right change. Probably after everything that happened, the waiter had decided to do us a favor and keep his tip before giving us the change... In a word, the service in this restaurant was RIDICULOUS. I spent a weekend in this hotel and all I can do is qualify it as an awful place ..... The pool: Only the inner pool was operational during our stay - 11.05.2018 - 13.05.2018. The pool is big enough, the pool area is spacious, there is a shallow kid's pool with nice temperature for children, a jacuzzi with hot water to relax, and of course, a decent water slide. And here the good things are over. The floor of the water slide pool had missing tiles, there were some sharp edges at these locations and my kids had their feet wounded while playing on the water slide. My wife used plasters, and thank God, the water slide was fun, so the children didn't pay attention to the blood. When you have kids you get used to wounds and bruises after all these games, but flesh wounds can be easily infected, especially when located at the feet. Unacceptable! In some countries the owners of the hotel would be sued by the parents! The restaurant: Very big premise, huge enough to shelter all the guests of the hotel, but the food is nothing special. The management of the hotel organised some thematic evenings in a desparate attempt to attract customers, but the permanently loud music and the mediocre cuisine cannot compensate the feeling in being some 30 years back in time, in the negative aspect unfortunately. And in this restaurant first I noticed a COCKROACH! The rooms: There had been some attempt to renovate the rooms but definately more could be desired for such prices! The service: After breakfast I went back to our room with my daughter who wanted to use the toilet. And there I found the cleaning ladies doing their duties as slowly as if our obligation is to wait for them to finish, instead of the opposite – they should have tried to finish their tasks stealthily without bothering the guests. OK, so be it, better to wait and see the room is cleaned, than no cleaning at all. On the departure day, at 11:55, 5 minutes before the deadline to free the room the phone in the room rang. The receptionists wanted to remind us we were supposed to leave …...... Honestly, I did not understand that urgency. Yes, the bags were ready, I took them and while lifting one of the bags I saw a fat black COCKRAOCH to run and try to find shelter! Disgusting! We definitely wanted to leave this hotel as soon as possible. The unpleasant thing is our bad experience did not end with this event …..... When we were back at home, while my wife was unpacking the baggage a COCKROACH tried to get out the bag in search of hiding place …... Totally disgusting. Obviously the Augusta Hotel is so infested by cockroaches that these insects live not only in the kitchen, where there is food, but also in the rooms! This is a sign the insects' populations has totally went out of control so the bugs just conquer your baggage! Conclusion: Augusta Hotel is situated close to the mineral springs, but the owners just try to squeeze every cent out of it without proper investments! Augusta Hotel is a spot of shame for the Bulgarian Tourist Industry! The management and the owners of the hotel should be ashamed to be part of this business! I would recommend urgent Insect's Inspection and treatment as well as urgent renovation of the pool area. Don't go there, don't spoil your holiday!…
The hotel looks really nice on the pictures, but in reality it is an old place from the communism that was partially renewed. For the price I expexted more - there were only shampoo and a soap in the bathroom, no slippers for the “SPA”, the room was more or less clean and with the smallest TV that I’ve ever seen. The staff was nice, the hotel location is near several places where you can eat. The indoor pool was like a sauna, there was no good ventilation or fresh air - totally not good for a pregnant lady :( I wouldn’t really recommend it, unless you’re looking for one night place.
