Simple hotel, perfect for the purpose of a few days' break... Well run, clean, and a perfect location. Private beach was great - about 15m from the incredible waters. Short walk (5 mins) from supermarket, pharmacy and restaurants on the main road, a stone's throw from others on the beach. Breakfast was fine - could be improved with a few little touches but still a great start to the day. Rooms cleaned thoroughly and towels changed every day. No problem. Room small but comfortable - bed fine, although pillows could be much better. All in all, great situation, friendly service with a wonderful beach!

If you're looking for a perfect location on the beach, a spotlessly clean family hotel close to the city center, with beach bar, free umbrellas and sunbeds, security service h24 and a fresh breakfast included, you must book here. Great value for money!

Simple small hotel, spotlessly clean, in a perfect location, just in front of the beach with a private beach and just a few steps to shops and restaurants. Rooms with daily cleaning and changing of towels and tasty fresh breakfast served every morning. The only concern is about the shower with cold water... In other words, absolutely suggested!

While my corner room was fine, I got the parking lot noise from a bar/nightclub next door with motorcycles revving constantly during the night and into the wee hours of the morning. One of our group had a room on the street and said there were trucks passing by all night. Breakfast not great - little other than eggs, but staff friendly.

Very nice hotel well maintained by friendly people. Bocca Chica is the only beach close to Santo Domingo. They are accessible via Uber. The public beach is not very clean but the water is clear and a lot a small fishes let us think it was not to polluted. We enjoyed swimming early morning. The hotel facilities are good and the fish they cooked for us was delicious.

Being consistent in my past reviews I had to remove one star for the poor wifi. If I can not get internet in my room then it is unless. Great location of the ocean but the room was dated and small. Nice breakfast and the staff was very helpful. The bed was comfortable but the furniture needs to be updated.

This has everything you can think of to make it the worst hotel ever: - US$170/night for the "suite". We had to fit 2 adults, 2 toddlers and an infant, so they gave us this double room (it's a single, large room, with a stove in one side, a little table stuck between the door and one of the beds). It has a tiny bathroom with a shower without a curtain and a door that doesn't close properly. - TV is useless: You cannot see anything, as they have not subscribed to ANY channels. - "Included breakfast": this is one of the major ripoffs of the entire deal. What they call "breakfast" is 2 hours of plain, white slices of bread in a large basket, a basket with some packets of jam and butter, and a large pitcher of juice. This, for everyone present in the breakfast area. If you ask for it, they will bring you some coffee and powder milk. We waited for over half an hour to get some breakfast and only when we lost our temper and pointed out the ripoff they brought us some cut bananas and pineapple. Of course, they said they did not have a toaster (so toasted bread is not happening). - Manager: a ghost entity. We never had the chance to talk to this person (even if it exists), despite trying for several days. - Refunds: despite having a receipt of payment (which they take in full in advance) that says NOTHING about not giving refunds, it's been weeks now that we expect a refund for the 2 nights we did not stay and they charged us for. Of course, they don't reply to our messages until we threaten to go to the police, and then it is only to say "we're sorry, but the manager is not available now". - Neighborhood: just needed to add this here (despite this not being the hotel's fault). Prostitutes accosting you everywhere, and a lot of people trying to force you to drive your car into their establishments, getting annoyed that you don't and kicking your car.…

I visited the Dominican Republic & stayed at the Hotel Zapata in Boca Chica... I was very impressed with this hidden gem... staff made me feel very safe, treated me like a princess the entire 2 weeks, breakfast was good, very clean hotel, the beach was in the background & beautiful, good price, even went out of the hotel for walks without any incidents, I will recommend this hotel to all my family & friends...can't wait to go back & stay in the same hotel !!!! Reservation now done on WhatsApp. I wrote 5:30 am arrival, no problem with number of nights. Arrived to no record of my stay, a confused night watchman who finally got a room open, next morning one night added to reservation, manager wouldn't budge. Alone at breakfast and on buffet just 3 slices of baguette, 3 jam packs, and no butter. Third morning I said they forgot coffee milk, no milk in kitchen. Next morning still no milk. I complained. Milk arrived as I was finishing. Towel and t-shirt stolen on beach, staff said to not be on beach, only on gated grounds. (safety?) Unlike past, owners never present. Three mornings in row 40s male had breakfast with 20ish local girl, neither speaking other's language. Boca Chica now teeming with female prostitutes. Can't walk Main Street to dinner without cat calls, touchings, female visitors to my table while outdoor dining. Outdoor bar area always empty day and night. Tvs on patio never ever on. In past there was CNN going. Electrical outlet charred and on last night pop/flash as I plugged in blow dryer. Melted its plug and ruined, $25 loss. Website offers airport pick up, doesn't exist! Employees mostly Haitian immigrants- friendly, helpful, just limited by a clearly tight purse strings budget. Rooms and grounds clean. Main Street now closed to traffic evenings with seating in mid-street, yet restaurants empty with blaring music, other than Italian pizzeria and German sausage place. Prostitutes everywhere. WIFI and A/C fine.…
