First of all everyone should know this place is not on the beach as some have stated. The attached picture is the view from the rooftop terrace I reserved the balcony room and when I checked in was told I couldn’t have it. The room I was given was windowless, the wifi is non existent and the sheets felt like they hadn’t been washed in weeks. I made the mistake of asking for extra towels and was told “no only two towels per day.” Even though the reason I needed the extra towels was to clean up the water on the floor from their faulty shower. The pool is the size of an oversized jacuzzi and the rooftop terrace was always full of trash. I stayed there one night of my five night reservation and changed hotels. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this hotel.

Checked in at 3 PM at this hotel, on 12 Sep 2020. Was assigned Room 207. Booked for 2 nights. By 5 PM, Air Conditioning failed. It was a windowless Room. Inside the room the temperature soared to 43 deg C. Had to stay in the lobby until 11 PM. Insisted that I pay for food in cash. Night Manager Refused to find alternate hotel room to sleep. I notified the Reception and the manager that I am cancelling the second night and they assured me that they would refund me. Next day, the receptionist said that she would initiate refund and I would receive it in a week. No refund was forthcoming, so I visited the hotel on my way back to Punta Cana on the 18 Sep. Spoke to Perci Zapata. He repeated the same lie.....”we will refund the charges”. It has been more than 3 weeks........no refund.

Big fan of this hotel stay with them about once a month. They provide room service have an amazing roof top and are right on the beach. Pedro works the desk and he’s super friendly and willing to tell you all about the local bars and night clubs. I love chilling on the roof enjoying the view always friendly people to mingle with also.

We visited the Friohot hotel in February 2019. This hotel is very nice, the nicest place on that little street by the water. The room was nice but a bit smelly due to high humidity. The bed was very confortable. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and it was very good. The croissant were amazing. There is also a small bakery and a gelato shop. The roof top terrasse is use for wedding and parties. The location is good, very close to the beach.

I made a reservation in advance for a specific room. I would not have stayed here unless I reserved this balcony room. It was confirmed to me. I knew about this room because I have stayed here before. When I got there my room was not reserved for me. Instead the owner gave it to his friends. AVOID this place. You do not do that to a customer to accommodate your buddies. Oh and to make it worse they acted like it was no big deal and offered us NOTHING. With customer service like this they wont be around very long. Stay at the Hotel Batey. They seem to care about their customers.

I stayed at this property Dec 12-13, 2018 room 111. Check-in was effortless. My room was very neat. The only issue I had was that there were no face towels. Rafael and Pamela were first class at the front desk. The beach is like a half block away. Excellent restaurant on the property. I would stay again.

The Restaurant had a good assortment on the menu and the pastries and Ice cream was excellent. The owners I was told are from Italy and use their Italian food service to their benefit. I did not go to the rooms, but am considering it on my next visit.

We were here just for 1 night. It is not that expensive. Good service, clean room, excellent. But do not expect too much. The room is old. Any renovatie to upgrade it would be nice. It is near the beach. Restaurants are in the same street.

I stayed at FrioHot during Oct 2018. I and my friends loved our stay there. Finding the hotel was by accident but it was a great find. The accommodations were well worth the cost and the service was excellent. I actually miss my friends at the reservation desk, and the restaurant. I will be back. Anyway, the location was close to the beach and other shopping. To bypass the typical solicitors we basically be friended a "guy" lol, he had clout and kept the riff raff away, it was actually funny to see dude at work. We gave him drinks and a few bucks for the effort. Again, I cant say enough kind works about the hotel staff.

The room was "blind", had only a very small window looking at nowhere, so we had no natural light in the room neither fresh air. The humidity also must have been 100% and our clothes and papers were totally wet! The light in the bathroom though was very nice and the personnel polite and helpful. The hotel had a parking place right next to it but every time I got the car someone asked me for money for taking care of the car! Personally I didn't like the area (too many annoying people asking for money and selling drugs) and in combination with the humidity, it made me sick!
