Half an hour outside Bergamo, we rocked up without a reservation in the dark. Rooms were fine and this is a nice family-run bed and breakfast. Sheep, horses and ponies and apparently also a working farm with a thriving restaurant (I didn't see this but they spoke highly of it). Sotto il Monte is fairly remote and I'd imagine most...

Just returned from a weekend at the marvellous Casa Clelia. Our hosts were delightful and went out of the way to make us feel welcome offering us Prosecco on arrival. Rooms spotless, cool and comfortable. Dinner exceptional - the courses just kept coming. Deep fried stuffed zucchini flowers a particular highlight. Immediate surroundings very pretty - great local walks amidst...

I've been there for the Easter week-end together with friends with kids, for a city break close to Milan and the lakes. This "agriturismo" is located in a quiet old country house, finely renovated inside using green building solutions. Rooms give a sense of homey feeling, clean, with traditional furniture and enough space. Maybe some bathroom should be improved. Stables...

Our family of 5 stayed here and had a wonderful time. The food was superb. 5 stars! The town is "sleepy" but the pope's house (John 23rd) was very interesting. Highly recommend this as a stop off for those travelling across northern italy.

While the rooms and bathrooms are have been done quite nicely and they have spent a lot of money on it, it was not at all what i was expecting. It is on the edge of a village, which has nothing there, the drive to and from was through an industrial area, absolutely nothing around it, and nothing there. The...

Positives: Quiet, clean room., updated bathroom, decent meal. Negatives: No public phone or computer. When I almost begged to use a phone and pay for it, there was a general discussion in Italian amongst three staff whether I could or not. Bed hard as a rock. Breakfast was coffee, a couple slices of bread and a small muffin. Booked for...

Obviously a lot of money has been spent on this place - expensive kitchen, lift etc but the bathroom was odd - horrible plastic spa bath shower effort which spoilt the eco friendly style of the hotel and the room was so poorly lit that we could barely see to read - there were also only one pillow each and...

Very intersting hotel where a great deal of money has been spent on the bedrooms and bathrooms and a huge kitchen with lots of expensive equipment which sadly does not reflect the food. Very unfriendly staff. Probably one of the worst meals we have experienced in Italy.

This was the third time we stayed here - the other twice was great and so we were expecting more of the same - nice room, great food and slightly disappointing breakfast. We were a party of four - parents and 2 adult young - we had booked 2 rooms by email in February and received email confirmation (that included...

We've stayed at Casa Clelia twice now & love it. It's a simple Agritourist & the rooms are large, clean, simple and very comfortable. The best part about this agritourist is the food. Most of the ingredients are grown on the farm and are organic. They serve a great "Taster Menu" which is basically what the chief is cooking that...
