Stayed in the Blunderbuss room for one night, the rooms are very spacious, with bath and shower, large bed and plenty of wardrobe space. The hotel has free wifi which is good. The bar is excellent, great range of beers, locally produced food, I had the shin beef cottage pie in the evening sitting by the open wood burning fire,...

We just live 2 miles from this hotel and on our thirtieth anniversary decided to slip away to this lovely small country hotel, just for a night. The room had a beautiful four poster bed complete with fine cotton linens, a good coffee machine, a very well appointed bathroom, a small private garden and a gun safe. The full English...

We had a one night stay here in January this year as we had booked to eat at the Pot Kiln down the road. The staff were lovely, beer and wine very drinkable and the atmosphere in the bar when we came back from our meal was great - locals by the bar and people who had been eating there...

We stayed here for my farther in law's 70th, and it was a wonderful weekend! The staff are really friendly and personable, the rooms stylish and cozy, and the dinner delicious. The highlight must be the bed - the next morning all we could talk about was the comfort of our stay. We even took photos of the duvets and...

We stayed for three nights between Christmas and New Year and really enjoyed our stay in the small village and the B&B. The double room was very welcoming, comfy and large enough to have a large dog cage in. The breakfast was very good each morning but unfortunately we didn't eat there in the evening. Only thing stopping me giving...

Stop over on my birthday en route from Yorkshire to Portsmouth. It's a great place, lovely dining rooms and bar with open fires, very friendly helpful staff and a menu that was just a bit different. Food smashing, good choice of very reasonably priced wines. Room spacious, light, comfortable. Only drawback was the shower. It wasn't really powerful enough, just...

I recently had the opportunity to stay over at The Royal Oak whilst in the UK on a business trip; spent 6 evenings there over a 3 week period. The team are geared to ensuring your stay is pleasantly memorable, to the degree that when I mentioned that a particular dinner dish wasn't to my standard the next week when...

Staying in the area on business, very pleased either the room (Purdy). Lovely furnishing, very good size (bathroom huge), best tea/coffee set up ever (Nespresso machine, loads of speciality teas, nice biscuits). Room was themed with Purdy gin prints, nicely done. Very nice breakfast - care and choice. Only negative was shower was poor, so had a bath instead!
