Come here because my son needed surgery and we had ti stay close by for 2 weeks. We arrived they didn’t have out booking but the golf pro at the gold shop said he could give us a room but not at the price we booked. We were given room 26 which I found out later the good pro was actually the owner of this room. Upon arrival of the room, there was only two towels, two plates, only sheets on the beds no blankets, bathroom was mouldy and smelly, the floor was dirty, the drier didn’t work. After I complained they gave me thin itchy blankets which were thin, we were cold. They dropped off a Mop a regular bucket and a broom - no disinfectant & no offer to clean the room. I ended up borrowing a vaccum from the neighbor I was almost in tears as my little boy was in surgery and here I am cleaning a filthy room. I was told to walk accross the grass to the shed if I needed a working dryer. I tried to get alternate accommodation but since it was around school holidays we had to suck it up. We slept with the glass door open the first night and woke up the next day the room was covered in dust - we have a crawling baby so this is not ideal. As soon as I knew my little boy was ok, we left which was after 5 nights! I will NOT recommend or go back to this resort.

The light in the stove hood didnt work along with the 4 lights in the bedroom/spa area. 3 of the bulbs were missing and the one that was there didnt work. Poor. Dryer worked only if you had 2 pieces of clothing in it. Took over 12 hours to dry our washing. Extremely Poor. No scourer in the sink/cleaning utensils yet you wanted the pots and pans cleaned before leaving???? Why in these days of COVID-19 do you/are you allowed to have guests clean the apartment for next guests before leaving? We cleaned the dishes, untensils etc before using because we dont trust other guest to do it properly. The room spa bath didnt work and had a sign advising as such yet we werent told before hand and still paid and expected a spa room!!! No TV in the second bedroom and obviously had been removed as the bracket was still there? The fire extinguisher outside didnt have a certified check PLUS the housing was badly rusted and the instructions were so faded they were unreadable? is this place checked regularly by Fire Dept for compliance? The restaurant at the resort was closed and yet the website says the resort has a restaurant. Extremely poor and false advertising. Website says you provide Foxtel - Nope NO FOXTEL in our apartment. These dislikes are actually very easy for you to fix yet seem to be neglected. 1/ Update your website and state that your restaurant is CLOSED yet you advertise on your website "Having recently undergone extensive renovations, our food & beverage facilities provide the perfect setting to relax and enjoy fine food and service, amongst our most envied ocean front view." RUBBISH. 2/ Have your maintenance people check and replace bulbs (its pretty easy) . 3/ provide appliances that actually work properly. I'm sure you've already been advised. 4/ If you dont have FOXTEL then dont advertise that you do - False advertising. Would have loved to politely tell management of these problems we encountered during our 2 night stay but even though it was check out time (10am) the door was locked and no one answered our knocks. QUESTION: Would we stay again. Nope not likely despite the comfortable bed and initially feeling like it was a value apartment.

We spend 6 nights there. Big room, bathroom with reasonable size and storage. Clean, however will be great to have some nice smell in room. First thing we have to open windows to remove weird smell. Aircon worked well. Kitchen small but manageable. Everything you need, only missing kitchen cloth to dry dishes. 2 pools, playground for kids, tennis and lots of other equipment to be provided. Close and easy access to the beach. We love rocks on the beach as we can spend hours their. Great location, close to everywhere. Quiet and great for families.

Advantages: - Great seaside location - Wrap around golf course - Mostly quiet - Large pool, tennis court, foreshore pathway - Large villas - Short drive to Elliott Heads or Bargara Disadvantages: - Villas and facilities in need of renovation and repair - Missing some basic amenities in rooms - No decent shops nearby - Poor WiFi signal - No welcome pack or brochures, just a double sided sheet of paper with basic information for a stay - No clear emergency evacuation signage in villas and around resort

Hotel Owner please take note of this review. I quite understand that we should be supporting local tourism, so that’s why we booked a weekend at this resort, however, not all the laziness and complacency can be blamed on COVID19. (Owner take note) When we checked into this resort on a Saturday, not only was it hard to find the Reception, (notices were facing in the other direction!) but when we did find it, it was not really the welcome we expected after a long drive, very disinterested and lacklustre. (I am still trying to grapple with the fact that the Managers manage to score a live-in home in potentially the most attractive sea view Villa/Accommodation on this resort) We were given our keys to our Villa, paid our bill and given a sheet of paper outlining the ‘rules’. Our Villa was clearly the victim of ‘if we throw enough bleach around, everyone will think it is clean and sanitised’ attitude. It took several hours of open windows and doors to reduce the smell of bleach, and on close inspection the place wasn’t that well-cleaned or in fact after such a long period of closure one would have thought that more maintenance would have been done, not just on the Villas but generally around the property, there was definitely signs of ‘no or low’ maintenance, shabby areas that could easily have been touched up by the staff who were kept on in times of lockdown, I am sure. (Owner take note) I went back to Reception to request a hairdryer, I can’t believe that there are still places where this isn’t a standard in the rooms, anyway, when a hairdryer was finally located......it was disgustingly sticky and dirty, I took photos but I won’t bore you with the details, it took me some time to clean it up, but I needed a dryer! We knew in advance that dinner was always going to be a challenge as the restaurant at the resort was closed, fortunately, the bar was open but not even the option of packet of crisps or peanuts in sight. Very poor hospitality, given that there were plenty of golfers about. The resort was running a high occupancy that weekend, so more thought could have been put to ensuring that guests had some in-house revenue-increasing options (Owner take note) rather than a vague recommendation to the local bowling club or into Bargara by taxi. The barmaid was sympathetic, but nonetheless, saying that they could not find staff to man the kitchen, we still couldn’t understand why a great kitchen could not have been manned by an agency Chef. We managed to rustle up some food in our Villa that we had bought with us, but later that night another guest decided to flout the restrictions and held a party at their Villa, after a lot of noise, glass breaking and general mayhem, the Managers did something I have never ever experienced before, they used a public address system at 11:38 pm ‘Hey guys some of us have to work tomorrow!’ (In itself that was laughable on so many levels!) The party and its host ignored this, of course. The following morning at 9am the outside of this villa was a mess, patio doors were wide open, takeaway packaging, uneaten food, broken glass, glasses, empty bottles strewn everywhere, by 2:30pm, still the same, and again at 6:30pm, so it wasn’t surprising to see that on the Monday morning at 9:30am it was still pretty much the same, expect that the doors had been closed. I should point out that the Children’s Play area was barely metres away from all this mess and broken glass, so much for sanitising....... (Owner take note) Disappointing on so many aspects.

Stayed here with the family in adjoining rooms. Very comfortable and very clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. Amenities around the resort great for the family. Being July the pool was very cold but that did not stop the children. Good tennis court, great playground for the littlies. Good bar-b-que area, undercover parking for each unit. Decor needs a little updating and repair but nothing that significantly detracted from the overall. Would certainly consider staying here again,

We stayed 9 nights. Pros: Location very good, quiet and peaceful. Grounds, pools etc good. Reception good (Sharon) but only open limited hours. Adjacent restaurant food very good. Golf course very good (see cons as well). Cons: Room in urgent need of upgrade. Fridge leaked. No exhaust fan or window in bathroom. Remote control batteries flat. Outdoor setting seats and table soiled with bird manure. BBQ for general resort guests use left with dirty greasy hotplate and not used during our stay....but not cleaned either. No internet/wifi despite being advised when original inquiry and subsequent booking was made over 2 months previously that NBN would be up and running by the time we would arrive. It wasn’t. Golf course pro shop. No special deal offered for resort guests despite being told at time of booking there was. Very poor quality old hire clubs . Not a set as such but a mish mash of various very old very used and abused clubs. This is just not good enough for regular golfers such as ourselves where it was impracticable to bring our own equipment. No charge back to room for restaurant or golf pro shop despite sharing the resort location. The resort, as such, will not attract our business again unless a large improvement occurs. It appears that most or possibly all of the units are privately owned where internal fittings and quality vary.

Absolutely beautiful apartment, with great service. The beach is literally a stones throw away and even the service on the beach was perfect. Such friendly staff all around the apartments and would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone visiting Barbados. The most expensive supermarket is down the road, it don’t let that put you off...

Stayed here in May for 3 nights, family of 3. Room was HUGE and well appointed with lovely furniture. However, it wasn't that clean. Large cobwebs on dining chairs, air conditioner sprayed us with mouldy flakes when turned on and when you looked up into it, it was covered in mould. It hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. We booked this placed almost based entirely on the fact that there was a childs playground right outside our room, but there was NO playground at all on the property. Seems it has been removed, but no one told us that and it is still listed as an amenity on their website and advertising. We only paid $320 for 3 night so thought the money was well spent but it is FAR away from Bargara and surrounding areas so you spend a lot of money and time driving.

My wife and I have stayed at Coral Cove many times and I have reviewed it very favorably in the past. This time our friends booked the room and we were charged $200 for a night. (There were 4 of us). In the past the rooms were between $120 and $140 a night so I can't work out why the price increase. The room was portrayed as having a double bed and a Queen bed. The double bed is in the small room that used to contain bunk beds. The television did not work, the wifi non existent in the unit No. 30. They did seem to have a lot of people staying there but no meals available on Tuesday night which is a pain as there is really nothing in the area. The golf course is still fun to play but interestingly the pro shop has gone cashless..credit cards only ?. I am really sorry to have to rate this place poorly as we have loved visiting over the last 20 years.
