We enjoyed two rooms for two nights. Luckily for us, we were given two rooms that had an adjoining common kitchen area, with sink, dishes and some silverware, refrigerator and microwave. The rooms were charming, the beds firm. Tv only has local stations, no satellite or cable. But with the views outside it wasn't used at all. Nice pool, but unheated, and it gets cool up here in the mountains.

The only complaint... both rooms had toilets with broken seat hinges and that weren't properly secured to the floor, and leaked discharge from the base. These really need to be attended to.

Overall, a mostly lovely experience.

Despise some reviews, I decide to give it a try to this Hacienda and I don't regret it. My room was good side, clean, have TV, coffee maker, microwave and an small refrigerator. It is not a fancy room, but it is clean and the shower very nice. The view was spectacular and even in July the temperature at night about 62 degree. They have a clean pool, small but nice. It is under construction but that doesn't interfere with the part being rent. They have small garden but need care. Otherwise I like it and I will recommended. Check in and check out was very simple, no problem at all, but I book it direct from their page. The TV have netflix

Fabulous vista, with stars if you are lucky and sweet coqui sounds. The room (paid extra for upper level) was compact - where to put suitcases?, no hand towel, confusing shower.
Visit nearby Kmila Bakery for dinner and breakfast

The pics and descriptions are deceiving. Aside from the rooms, the place is an unfinished project that appears to it have been worked on for some time. This is not a hotel by any means and it shouldn't be called that. It is an 'AirB&B style'** rental rooms without any amenities whatsoever; no even vending machines, water, ice, or in room coffee maker. Then 1 towel per person for several days (no hand towels or wash towels), not even on site staff to assist with any possible issues. There is no one at the office. The day of the arrival the owner will send you a text message with the code to your room and that's it. Once you are there, if there any issues, you have to text message the owner and hope for the best. To address any potential issues the owner will call a staff member in from town and you have to wait until they arrive to take a look at what's going on. Whatever that staff person tells the owner is what goes, it doesn't matter that you are the customer and you found an issue, the owner will believe the staff member and tell you everything is OK, as was our case where we found hairs in the bed! When the staff member arrived and we spoke to the person we realized that the hair belonged to her. The owner is out of the country and manages and communicates via WhatsApp and text messages.
Yes it has a nice view, but that's about it. Good for a couple of nights, nothing more. The rooms (at least the ones we looked at) don't even have a chair or a table. The 'nice looking' shower was so close to the wall you have to lean against the wall to use it.
If you have issues with stairs and/or carrying luggage, beware - no elevator or easy access to some rooms. If you decide to use this place make sure you address that up front so he put you in one of the handful of rooms that you can walk into without stairs.
Also, there are live in tenants at this 'hotel', some with noisy cars arriving at all sorts of hours throughout the night.
It's really sad that it's ran like this because this place has lots potential, but it's poorly represented on the site, as well as poorly managed and kept. If you ask too many questions, you become ignored...
If it's ever finished and set up like a true hotel, it can be a great location. In the meantime it's just a 'AirB&B like' room rental, but without services or anything that usually is included with an AirB&B.
**Interestingly, they do show up in the AirB&B site, but you have to go to their own site to reserve and pay - so no real AirB&B relationship or protection - at least that's how ours turned out. Now I know why...

Despite having reserved a room since July 2023, they tried to cancel my reservation because it was overbooked! When they finally gave me the room, the sink could not be used because the water came out on the floor. There was no one in frontdesk to check out or help with the proble

COVID-19 concern

The view is perfect the service is the worst ever there are roaches you have to share a mini fridge with The next room they don’t change the sheets every day they don’t Sweep or clean the floor and bathroom when you go to the office to report about it nobody knows who is the manager and nobody can help you after hours. Check in 4-8pm after that nobody’s in the office so if you have any issues nobody will be able to help you until the next day at 4 PM
The front desk person doesn’t know anything or resolve any issues. THE WORST!! Those previous reviews about he the service are a scam there is no such thing as GOOD service. I asked the front desk guy to have someone to change the bed sheets and take the trash out but he told me that he couldn’t do it then that it had to be next day I also asked for manager he said there is no manager that it was him only that he didn’t know the manager🤔

Travelers beware!

Occurred 10/09/2020

We booked a room here through a third party site for $71.25 (room charge) with the email stating there was a 9% tax of $6.41 due upon arrival. When we arrived to check in they stated our total was actually $97.01 due to taxes. (That would indicate a 35% tax on the $71.25 room cost). Ironically, when booking directly through their website the cost is an $89 room charge and a 9% tax making the total, magically, $97.01. When we showed them our reservation confirmation email stating the price guarantee (which they already had) and then showed them their own website charge to try to make sense of this new “tax”. The owner finally said we could pay the new amount or leave. We left.

We aren’t idiots and I’m sure they assumed people wouldn’t know or understand their tax systems here.

We only were getting a room here because we came to spend time for our 20th wedding anniversary. Luckily for us we have family just a mile away who were expecting us. Not everyone has that luxury and would have been stuck being scammed into paying a higher price. Find a local Airbnb which are very comparable in price and reputable. It’s not about the money, it’s about integrity.

More motel like than haciënda. Had room 2, the kitchen was a health hazard with mold and very dirty cups and utensils. Found hairs in bed. Reception closed early, no response to phone, mails, text! Nothing. Next day reception closed and no response. Awful experience!!

They cancelled our reservation the same day for the stay. We traveled to Barranquitas for the Festival in the town and they ignored the calls and text. it is a lack of respect. They are inconsiderate with their clients. They are not professionals and it is not fair that after having plans, they ruin them out of nowhere and at the last minute. Unprofessional. I don't recommend them!!

Great place! We stayed for one night and we had a great night. Beautiful place, very clean and the room looked like cabins. The only thing was that The staff should be more welcoming and nicely! Overall, I highly recommend the place to relax and enjoy the nature. Perfect view And weather.
