Detailed Reviews
Hotel is located near quatre bornes so the metro is nearby, hotel staff is very cooperative and friendly. Some maintenance is going on but then it is for the betterment of the hotel. Everything is nearby shopping, coffee, pizza.
We tried Mauritian food that was really good
From my side overall raring is 4 out of 5

Good food, nice cosy place in the heart of Quatre Bornes… could upgrade to some ambient music to make the place more pleasing. No place for changing babies, so not really th place to be with a baby.. parking space available, good experience in general

This is more of a business hotel and I was there for a conference. The hotel facilities and various amenties were reasonable. Food was varied and service excellent. I felt it couldn't be beaten for the price and we will certainly look at booking gold crest again.

The worst hotel you can ever stay , old rooms , they used it for quarantine and its awful , food like in. trays like in jail and you have to hoover your own room , carpet dirty not hoovered, on top the ministry of health of Mauritius is disgusting with staff that does not know what they doing , like the worst experience you'll ever have in hotel, ever watched banged up , similar things , no communication when you call the reception , no answer , the internet is slow and wouldn't load the Tv is old with 1 Chanel planning .ridiculously awful

I booked three rooms at this hotel. Because of the Covid 19 pandemic the three guests were unable to fly. I tried to call the hotel four hours after I made the booking to ask for them to change the reservation to another day. They never answered any of their emails or telephone calls. I finally after five days got in contact with someone. They advised me that they never received any correspondence and that they would only refund me half of the money I spent. I found the hotel staff to be very very unfriendly and arrogant. They don't answer any emails or telephone calls and will take your money and run. I wouldn't advise anyone to book this hotel. In the middle of a pandemic they just took my money and never bothered getting in touch with me. I would advise you to avoid booking this hotel at all costs.

When we had checked in we got a tasteful fruit drink. Good breakfast with omelette. The room was rather large.
Next morning I found a small visitor in the bathroom. He looked like a long shoestring. Probably he had climb troth the drain. But I don’t like snakes and worms and especially not in the bedroom. He was discreet and he didn't make any sound, when I approached, but he didn’t understand, that he would leave. We trew him out of the window. It ended with a flight that he probably won't forget. Perhaps it was not so kind to do so.
The hotel is situated in the centre of the town and near the market. The Metro stops only around 100 meters from the hotel.

Friendly reception. Good for business people. bus stops are very near. if you love a visit to open general market - it is ideal. The rooms are quite comfortable. a wide variety for breakfast. The security is quite helpful especially when transporting you purchases in the lift to reception.

During my stay in Mauritius for four years, couple of years ago me and my family and friends had toured many hotels in Mauritius & Gold Crest is one of them.
We had spent a fine week end here in a big spacious elegant roadside facing room.
Location is excellent. Just next to Quatre Bornes main market where vegetable market is on Wednesday/Saturday & textile market on the following days.
Next to the hotel is the bus terminal.
Flic en Flac is just 20mins away & capital is around 25mins away drive.
Food is awesome but Gold Nest has a better taste!
I will recommend this hotel, its a value for money hotel.!
Bon Voyage
