My husband and I stayed at the Brighton Savoy while attending a wedding locally. While the room was clean and well appointed, the service we experienced upon check-out was appalling! A maintenance worker began planing ear-piercingly right outside our door while we were sleeping. After mentioning this to the receptionist, she said that she would organise a discount for the... Very average hotel indeed! Cleanliness is a big issue, our room had a broken toilet seat, long black hairs on the bathroom walls (gross!) and damp carpet around the base of the mini bar that actually has nothing in it excepted little packets of UHT milk. We also had a lovely views of a power transformer out the window. Very... More

I have stayed here more then once, which should basically tell you everything you need to know. But if you are looking for a deluxe beach side get away, this probably isn't the place, as it is a little dated and is void of any real relaxation facilities. The rooms are neat and clean and the food is above average... More

Hotel is located within mins walk to the famous Brighton bathing box. Our room comes with a double bed & two single beds. Good enough for a family of four but rather crammed if you have a few luggages like us. There was a wedding banquet on our check-in day, and car park could be a problem, we were lucky... More

We went to the savoy for 1 nights stay . We had previously had Christmas lunch over several years ad found the experience to be very good. However, The room ( $250 ) with at King Size bed was narrow and small. There were no comfortable sitting chairs ...just 2 plastic chairs. The mini bar was non existent. You had to... More

The hotel was not what we expected for a 4star. Rooms are clean but average if you want a quiet weekend then I would recommend else where, as the hotel is a great venue for Weddings and birthdays because its right on the water front lovely views. Restaurant food was ok. The staff was amiable.

Overnight stay. Came early in the morning to pick up relatives asked reception if they could keep something in their fridge until we could check in later. They said yes then advised our beachside room was already free and we could check in. So helpful and friendly. We wanted to surprise the relies so staff kept it a secret and... More

Stayed on 2 separate occasions for medical appointments and surgery at nearby Cabrini Hospital. Check in was efficient and we were made to feel welcome, the staff were exceptional and friendly Our request for a quieter located room which was provided was gratefully appreciated. The room was modern, clean, comfortable and quiet which provided for restful sleep. Our car was... More

We needed to stay in the area to visit friends, so it was perfect for 2 nights. We had room 225 (ocean view, which we paid for), bed was very comfy. Room was clean and perfect for just wanting a place to sleep. I like that you could open the window vents to get fresh air. The view was good,... More

This is a Brighton legacy and it has very much going for it. But strangely there is no bar for a drink to watch the sun go down. We were staying for an evening last week and the only place to have a drink is the dining room or foyer. Seems such a shame. The rooms are perfunctory and ours... More
