The reception area is charmingly decorated which unfortunately does not flow through to the rooms. The room allocated to me was in dire need of a refurbishment- scuffed walks, stained carpets, hairline cracks on the wall, inferior flimsy looking furniture. I could also hear traffic from the road. I found it extremely odd that I was asked by housecleaning whether... More

We decided to stay somewhere different for a few days in Melbourne and was not disappointed. The Hotel was spotless clean and beautifully fitted out. The room service was nothing less than perfect. The nicest thing about the Hotel was the staff, so friendly and professional and nothing seem too hard - a nice change in this world. We will... More

My wife and I had dinner at the Brighton Savoy last Saturday. We were with friends who are regular diners there. I had a Hungarian goulash soup for starters followed by roasted vegetables. The soup was lovely and the vegetables a little on the small size. My wife had a nice Greek salad to share followed by a small flounder.... More

Nice views of the bay and beach is the only positive comment. But over priced. Standard of the room very un becoming, bar fridge empty, required to request beverages, bottled water is extra, restaurant not accommodating of guests to dine as preferred or reserved for paying guests, continental buffet breakfast is not, all packaged cereals and fruit as you would... Overpriced, ordinary, unfriendly staff (actually, I think they are just bored and underpaid). It's been there for awhile, and it shows. Restaurant is stodgy pub food at fancy restaurant prices. Great views, if you are lucky enough to get a beach facing room.

My family and I stayed at The Savoy, Brighton for ten days whilst house hunting in the local area. The rooms were clean and modern with good facilities, there is also the opportunity of an area where guests can go to do their own washing, along with the usual hotel laundry service. Mini bars are stocked to a guests requirement... More

We stayed for 1 night in a deluxe sea view room. This should actually be called a deluxe traffic noise room as you get all of the noise from the main road. The room was large but very tired, the bed uncomfortable and the furniture made it feel cheap. By comparison, the bathroom was modern and great. While I was... More

We stayed Saturday night, greeted by no parking like we asked for & had to park 1 and a half blocks away due to 2 functions at the Savoy. We were told once guest left the functions there would be room for us which was around 10pm at night. The noise from the function (music) thumped through our room until... More

The rooms are clean and nice. The location is great being a short walk to bars and restaurants. It was not the most quietest of rooms, there was a lot of noise from local building work in the morning. Staff were very polite and helpful. Would definitely stop again.
