A lovely overnight stay, saw everything we expected. Staff were lovely. Animals beautiful. The Lion enclosure is far too small, but believe they are updating this. Only an hours drive from Capetown. The overnight lodge was brilliant, nearly bumped into a buffalo just outside the lodge. Willis was a great ranger. Somebody on a previous review slated this place said... More

We came to Buffelsfontein one day to do the shorter guided game drive. For R250 each, boy did we get much more than our money's worth! Firstly, young Ruann was an excellent guide. He took us right up to all the animals: giraffes, various buck, rhinos, wildebeest, zebras and ostriches... you name it. What we found great about the setup... More

The views are stunning - we stayed in the luxury self-catering cottages. However, the AC didn't work properly and when we plugged something into a socket the power kept on tripping. But overall still a great experience!

My husband and I stayed here and had a fantastic time. We first communicated by email and we received prompt replies. We were picked up from Cape Town International Airport by Paul. He took us to Buffelsfontein. We stayed 2 nights in chalet no. 1. It was a lovely chalet overlooking a waterhole. Sandy brought a basket of goodies for... More

Only an hour from Cape Town, this nature reserve is privately-owned and has a lovely swimming pool, clean and big individual cabins, and a large lodge that is available for rent. The area is not large, but there are giraffe, a pair of rhinocerus, gazelles of several sorts, zebra, and assorted other mammals. The big cats are behind fences so... More

if you only have time for a snap-shot of a safari then this is worthwhile. otherwise make sure you get the real deal by travelling further afield where you'd find elephants and predators running wild . this would be especially great for kids.

Can never thank you enough. Awesome staff as good as the animals. Ryan, the best game driver ever had. Six safaris so far, more to come. Chalet so comfortable and in all my travels in east Africa and south Africa, have had nothing to compare to this piece of heaven. The cake was awesome and all guests will make sure... More

Fell in love with the nature, animals and scenery, so decided to have our wedding for 160 people at the venue. Planning the destination wedding was easy and a pleasure. My e-mails got answered in record times, the arrangements for the food, pre-drinks etc was done professionally and with ease. We stayed for the week prior to the wedding and... More

All that we can say from Buffelsfontein's side is that it was a pleasure having you and your guests with us for the week and the wedding! It must be said that the bride herself was the one who was organized and that just made our work that much more easier! We hope to see you soon in the future!... More

First time at a game reserve. Stayed one night in the luxury cottage full board(in my opinion...one night is not enough). The chalet is tastefully decorated with all the necessary basics. Staff are all very friendly and the food very good.Had a lovely time on our game drive with Trevor, our game drive ranger. He took us up close and... More
