NEVER GIVE THEM MONEY FOR MORE THAN ONE NIGHT, you will not get it back. The owner is absolutly disrespectful and not adequate. Instead of help he will try to get more money from you: he offers more expensive bungalow, but it changes nothing. Don't do that. Then he will blame you in everything (for example, he told me to...

We arrived to Koh Mak port and stumbled to Monkey Island Restort's staff. He seemed really nice and we decided to go with him and see the resort. Immediately we arrived there everything changed. In 1 min he turned to really rude and was not friendly at all. The other staff were also really rude and not friendly at all....

So we came here after staying in another hotel on the island and we were looking for a nice vibe. We found it. I hired a scooter and checked out the island and in my opinion Monkey Island has the nicest vibe on Koh Mak. Sandflies weren't much of a problem on Monkey beach, whereas they were further along the...

The hotel staff is horrible not nice they never smile DIDNT even say goodbye apart for one lady that was always nice and that said goodbye. The manager was mean to everyone and disrespectful to others. The food was not too shabby. I don't recommend any of you to go just cause of the staff. The staff was always unpleasant....

We stayed here for four days and enjoyed it very much. Friendly stuff and one of the best beaches ever. Enough for 3-4 days stay. As the island is so small and gets quiet in the evenings excellent place to calm down from the busy life. Not the place for party seekers. Some more chairs could be added to the...

A massive thank you to all the team at Monkey Island... We had an amazing 2 nights staying here towards the end of our holiday. It was perfect! Rooms were generous and comfy, we were right next to our friends, we rented scooters for 250 THB for the day and explored the whole island. The icing on the cake was...

We paid 400 bath for a small bungalow with shared bathroom, which was actually totally okay. But the resort was old and needed to be fixed. The beach was beautiful though and the resort had beach beds on the beach. The restaurant was also okay, good prices. The staff was a little bit quiet though, and just a few smiled...

The owner is a really nice guy which is trying to help you in all issues. The resort is clean and calm. The beach is the best on this island. The food is affordable and good. Here is live music every evening.
