I booked my stay corresponding with the resort over Facebook Messenger. Since I'd never been to Koh Mak (or any of the other nearby islands) I booked a package that included 3 nights, full board and transportation To/From the Trat airport. Everything was seamless with respect to getting to/from the Resort. Now that I've been there I think I could arrange the transportation part myself; its not difficult. I probably would book the Full Board again; all meals were included. During this time of Covid other places to eat are limited, so the Full Board package is a particularly attractive option. There is a limited portion of the menu included in Full Board (most of the chicken or pork), though the menu is not expensive if you want other things. In practice the woman who seems to manage the resort, Took Ta, can quickly arrange for things not on the menu if you ask her.

The resort has a large section of beach that is beautiful all the time, but particularly so at sunset. I went over a Thai holiday, and it seemed like most of the buildings were occupied, but it does not at all feel crowded; most of the time you feel like you have th large beach to yourself.

The buildings you stay in are basic but clean and comfortable, with a patio facing the beach about 40-50m away. There is a resort next door that is closed. This means there isn't anything else particularly close. You can rent a scooter, though the hotel arranged for a drop-off and pickup from one of the staff when I wanted to visit a bar on a pier at another resort one evening.

I look forward to staying here again sometime.

Lazy Day Koh Mak was one of the best resorts I have visited.

I took time finding a place for 2 nights 3 days vacation with my girlfriend in Koh Mak. Then, I were so helpful and friendly, they knew the best how to serve customers.

The room was so clean and comfortable in everyway with natural seaview.

The resort is located along the beach with views of 2 small islands named Ko Rayang Nok and Ko Rayang Nai.
The beach was so clean and had very clear water.
It is a fantastic place to relax and chill.
I could see little fish, crabs and clams on the beach showing an untouchable environment.
All plastic materials are not allowed in Koh Mak.
The resort uses eco straw for every drink.
They also have own organic farm beside the resort and plenty of coconut trees.

Kayak is one of best activities of the resort.
I had one-day trip with my girlfriend from Lazy Day Resort Koh Mak to Ko Rayang Nok and Ko Rayang Nai by the resort's kayaks.
It was extremely enjoyable and impressively beautiful trip on that day.

The resort also has relaxing activities such as spa and massage which made my girlfriend felt so restful.

They provide both delicious Thai and international dishes. Super fresh seafoods were also provided in fairy prices.

The scenery of the beach, wave sounds, wind which blew the coconut leaves already made my heart melt in Koh Mak.

It sounds everything is perfect here, I should have had more time to stay in Lazy Day The Resort.
2 nights 3 days would never be enough for this wonderful place.

If I have to miss something in Koh Mak, Lazy Day The Resort Koh Mak must be first one to be missed.

I will certainly see you again Lazy day the resort.

Koh Mak is an island that offers total serenity, and this hotel adds very comfortable spacious rooms, and a welcoming staff that is eager to ensure your visit is enjoyable. Throughout our stay, they were very accommodating with top-notch service and a kitchen that dishes out some of the best seafood on the island. When returning to Koh Mak THIS is the place we will be booking again.

We stay for 2 nights and the bungalows are nice and clean. They wait for us on the pier and 5 min later we were in the resort. The beach is everyday cleaned. We rent motorbike and they give us the information to travel around the island. Breakfast was good and the restaurant have some special Thai dishes who were very delicious. Nice and quiet place to stay with friendly and helpful staff

I have to say that Lazy Day is one of the best resorts we have stayed in. Firstly, due to the fluctuating situation with Covid the owner was very gracious in letting us keep moving the dates back to a more appropriate time to come, which went from booking it in March to eventually going in November. The bungalows are sea facing and the beach is, for us, possibly the best thing about the resort. If you travel around the island, which we did, I am not sure you will find a nicer beach; the sea is clear and clean, the beach is soft and, again, clean and you pretty much have it to yourself. The staff were amazing, particularly Tookta. She welcomed us, cooked for us, poured cocktails for us, picked us up when we had problem at the pier, and sat and chatted with us – she is an absolute star! In terms of food, to be fair, the selection of food could be a bit more but what there was good and plentiful – I already miss the breakfast! I highly recommend staying here and if you go look out for Zorro – you will know when you see him!

The resort is fantastic...i could sum up some minor issues but. The will be forgot ten when you meet the staf.. Not one all of them are great.. The local manager (tookta) who helpend us with everything.. The chauffeur, the water (sak) the women who served us breakfast (oh) the masseuse, sorry missed your name. The cocktail guy again missed your name, cleaners gardeners every body did the extra step. From a early checken, let us Stay in the house after checkout.. Aranging a boattrip. The barman who came in anyway because we ordered a cocktail that the replacement could make..

Giving us extra breakfast menu's because we were still hungry..

It was an incredible experience to have been in Lazy Days Resort at Koh Mak. The small bungalows were perfectly arranged so that every guest had their peace and privacy. The restaurant was really nicely located with a great view of the complex and the sea. The food was really delicious! The team was there for us at all times, always totally helpful and super friendly. Absolute highlight for us was the incredibly great and clean beach, which was really right in front of our bungalow. That was indescribable! Really perfect! We really enjoyed the time!

Cons - There is no TV in the room. The shower water for bathing is very light.
Pros - The overall atmosphere is considered very good. The beach is quite private, there are few people, and the food is delicious and spicy. Good service staff There are motorbikes for rent for 300 baht per day for 24 hours. The water is clear and there are spots to take photos. and the beach front is to the west It is a very beautiful place to take pictures of the sunset. No need to find another spot.

We stayed at the Lazy Day Resort for one week and enjoyed every day. The location of the bungalows right by the sea is just fabulous. The bungalows are not luxiourious, but nice and clean and have everything you need. The food served at the lovely restaurant and its very friendly staff is very delicious. The breakfast has lots of options and most of the time we also had dinner there, even though you have a lot of other options to eat somewhere else. It is a perfect place to relax. Thank you to the team of Lazy Day Resort for welcoming us and making our stay memorable.

Service very bad. Waited 10 minutes in an open bar without personnel. Went to the restaurant who directed us to the open bar. Took the order and delivered the drink 20 minutes later. The sunset was long gone as well as the mood.
Requested the bill and it was not correct. They had a 3 for 2 offer on drinks, but it didn't apply because we had one of the drinks without alcohol. The waitress said that the offer should apply but afterwards she was "just joking".

Response from TrisadiSuttitanakool, General Manager at Lazy Day The Resort
Responded Jan 2, 2020
Dear JockumSwe, Greetings from Lazy Day The Resort, Koh Mak. First of all, I would like to thank you for visiting us to enjoy the popular sunset spot on Koh Mak Island at our beach area yesterday. However, I am very disappointed to read that our service did not meet your expectations, therefore I would like to sincerely apologise for the unacceptable unattended garden bar that lead to an unusual slow service on this particular incident. As soon as I received your review, I called a team meeting right away to find out what went wrong and find a corrective action to prevent any re-occurrence. Kindly let us clarify accordingly in order for you and all TripAdvisor readers to understand this unexpected situation. Regarding our "Buy 2 Free 1 for All Cocktails" promotion being displayed on our signage and cocktail menu, I am truly sorry that the message was miscommunicated which caused you an unpleasant experience. I have discussed and trained all of our service staff to also verbally pass on any of our information across more clearly and effectively to all of our guests in a professional manner. Once again, please accept our sincere apology, and we do wish a second opportunity to serve you in the future. Best regards, Trisadi Suttitanakool (Tone) Lazy Day The Resort, Koh Mak
