Our stay at the ramada hotel

The rooms were a good size and very clean our bed was broke only having 3 wheels on it and the shower wouldn't stay on the wall but once we told reception this issue was sorted straight away. The mini bar is filled in the room every day with soft drinks and fresh towels if required.

The pool was very big and clean it had enough sun loungers for everyone at all times of the day, the slides opened twice a day. The beach is around a 15 minute walk it has a bar with drinks and hot food served here. The beach itself isn't the best lots of stones but it is nice for a change of scenery, the beach bus that comes every hour isn't reliable and just doesn't turn up at times.

The biggest downfall of this hotel is the food as I am vegetarian I struggled to find anything to eat that wasn't bread or potatos and the other foods that they had as marked as vegetarian would have sausage or chicken in it. We often had to go out to eat but options are very limited due to the location of the hotel so most days having to wait until the evening when it was cooler as the nearest shops/restaurants are a 20 minute walk.

The entertainment at this hotel could definitely be improved during the day they have water polo, aqua gym & darts and at night the mini disco starts at 9pm finishing at 10pm then followed on with a dance show on 6 out of 7 nights finishing at 11pm at the latest then everything would be turned off, the main lobby area was nice with comfortable seats but also the lights would be turned off at 11.30 and bar closed at 12pm this is the only area of the hotel the WiFi worked for us we had to spend an additional £35 on internet passes from our phone company's.

We won't be returning to this hotel due to the food & the location. But if you are not fussy eater and just want to relax by the pool then this could be a good option.

A long drive from Antalya airport arrived very late 1.30am so was never told about the beach, buses etc.l just shown to room. Had to find out by asking other guests.

Food was ok, not much for fussy English kids so if your kids live on chips and nuggets this is not the hotel for you. Hotel is out of the way and a 12 euro taxi ride into any sort of civilization!

Room was very dated (family room facing the front of the hotel which is at the end of a very scruffy looking road next door to a derelict hotel) Balcony was tiny with 1 chair and a small drinks table, despite us paying extra for a family room. Beds were made and fresh towels everyday but not once was our bedding changed in the whole week we were there. Our door didn't lock either! No toiletries in the bathroom so take your own soap etc. The poor wild dogs that live in the wasteland facing the hotel howl and bark most nights so be prepared to have very little sleep if you are put at the front of the hotel.

Be prepared to mithered to death if you are round the pool on your first few days to use the spa, buy a smoothie, have a tattoo etc I mean they are really persistent to the point my partner had to firmly tell them after about 3 days of mivering that if we wanted one, we'd let them know! They seemed to leave us alone after that but the mivering is so annoying!

Did the jeep safari through the hotel tour guide (Mario) who charged us £130 for 2 adults and 1 child, then found out on the trip by another couple they had only paid £20 each! Booking through the hotel is a rip off but obviously we found out too late.

All in all its a basic hotel (definitely NOT a 4 star) would I stay again? Probably not, I'd rather pay the extra and get better service and surroundings. Still had a nice holiday though all in all.

Reading through some of the reviews of this hotel and a lot We disagree but also agree. We stayed here last week for 2 weeks. This was one of the cheaper hotels so we didn’t expect perfect ! We arrived and staff were friendly and we checked straight in to our room. Room was quite small and we had one wardrobe with 6 coat hangers in for 2 adults and 2 teenagers… but we made it work. Staff throughout were friendly and also cleaners were all over the hotel - By the pool, restaurant etc. a lot of people just threw their rubbish wherever they sat and it was cleaned up in minutes.

The canteen was spotless and huge. Yep food was similar each day, typical all inclusive to be honest but it was all very fresh, but always clean tables and friendly waiters. A few people said flys buzzing everywhere .? I saw about 4! Most of the food was in huge containers with lids that were always closed.

Pool area was big and always sunbeds. This hotel are never tight on your drinks, cocktails included in your all inclusive as well and open up until midnight !!
Snack pool bar open in between canteen meals and serve burgers, chips etc. They never question how much you want.

Balcony was very small, not big enough to sit on, but still nice. Room safe was included and no extra cost.
Rooms are slightly dated but did the job for us!
Hair dryer in the bathroom and fridge in the main room where daily they top it up with Pepsi, water etc - all included in your all inclusive !
We only had one small thin blanket but as soon as we asked the cleaners for another they handed us 3 .. nothing was a problem and they were over helpful.

Hotel beach was very basic and a few bits of rubbish floating around but snack bar on the beach was brilliant, lovely spread of food and included in your inclusive also. No charge for the sunbeds and umbrellas.
The hotel provides free transport to another local beach called ‘Fizz beach’ and you get brought back as well.

Usually we have found that hotels have so many extra hidden costs like safe, sunbeds on beach, cocktails etc this hotel did not do this and it was a lovely change.

One thing…. If you want 5 star perfection… book a more expensive hotel with luxury rooms, they are out there and they are available. This is cheaper for a reason! But when you paid what we paid we went with an open mind and we’re really happy.

After 2 holidays cancelled we ended up here. On the transfer passing all the nice hotels i was quite excited thinking ours was going to be one of them but no, it was the last hotel at the end of the road in the middle of nowhere. No bars or restaurants in walking distance which was later to become a pain as the food was so repetitive and unacceptable we wanted to eat out more than stay in the hotel even though we were all inclusive and apparently 5*. Every day for 14 days there was either grilled turkey or grilled chicken and other various disguised of the same food either in kebab format or meatball or stew etc. Chips a pleanty every day and even one morning for breakfast which i found rather odd and even wedges and boiled vegetables (peas). Bread of every kind and lots of different cheeses which were very nice as was the tomato soup. Cocktails are very potent which may be good or bad depending on your taste i guess. Mini bar is filled everyday with water, pepsi, orange, and a 7up type drink which is helpful. The hotel in general is quite nice to be fair but not what i would call 5* but more of a 3* at best. The pool and slides are great and clean and you can get ice cream from the pool bar for an hour from 14.30 and cookies for an hour from around 16.00. The music around the pool contained various songs with explicit adult language in which although never bothered me, could be a problem for families with young children. Pleanty of sunbeds with no need to rush down doing the old towel reservation routine. The beach is nice with a free bus every 20 mins and free sunbeds and parasols and a restaurant with the same all inclusive as the hotel. Pool towels are available from the spa to use round the pool and on the beach if required. There is an indoor pool which makes a nice change from the outside one as its a fair bit cooler and refreshing as the outdoor was 35 deg when i was there!! There is an amphitheatre outside which has shows on 3 times a week and also has an outside bar there. There is a nice restaurant bar called titanic about a 20 min walk from the hotel on the same road, just turn right out of the hotel and its on your right or its 30 lira in a cab from outside the hotel. There also 5 or 6 cash machines there if needed but you can pay by card. All in all a nice hotel let down by the location and the food offerings but if you like chicken turkey chips bread and every salad you can think of then your onto a winner. Hope this helps and good luck😎😎

Just returned from the Ramada hotel two days ago. We were so looking forward to a 5* hotel however our illusions were soon shattered once we entered our rooms what an awful holiday. We are a family of 7 and booked two rooms. The family room was horrendous it was like a corridor had been turned into a room. There was an old brown blanket up at the window, broken furniture left on the shelves and the bathroom just a shower attached to the wall. The other room was a bit better however very dark, old and dingy. As it was after 3am we had to sleep but the next day spoke to the holiday rep and requested to change hotels. A request was also made to the hotel to change the family room. The holiday rep agreed it wasn’t 5* and hoped our travel
Agent would move us. We then went to breakfast and wow the food was covered with flies absolutely disgusting. I have never ever been to a hotel with so many flies on food. Lunch and dinner was the same we just all felt sick. Other diners were swatting the flies with the placemats. The next day we were told that all the hotels in the area were full and there wasn’t another room available in our hotel until the following day. What a start to our long awaited holiday. We had to make the most of the holiday but we spoke to so many other British couples who were going home early due to the state of their room and the flies and lack of safety. The poolside was very dangerous as the hand rails to climb out of the pool were all rickety. The slides had no guidance or staff to make sure children were safe to use. After 4 days and lots of complaining to the dining room manager the flies miraculously disappeared and the open food tray were covered with cling film. Most nights they did a bbq outside which meant the dining room Was full of smoke our eyes steamed. After complaining again to the manager he moved the bbq so the smoke blew the other way. It’s probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We had to constantly find a cleaner to replenish our toilet rolls, the free toiletries were a joke, bed linen was old and grey as were the towels. I could go on and on but I think I have said enough. I never write a bad review but there were so many things wrong.
This hotel is not 5* as advertised by Love Holidays and the pictures on their website bare no resemblance to the hotel.

This hotel is less than a one star hotel. I don't usually do reviews but for the sake of others I have to do this.
A lot of people spoke to me and there was no single positive comment about Ramada Side.
From my experience:

Rooms:
The cleaning standard is very poor. The cleaners may be trying but their effort goes unnoticed because the hotel requires an upgrade. For example there was this brown stain on the toilet seat and my children refused to use it. I even tried to clean it myself but it won't go. All the corners in the room, the skirtboard etc looks filthy with lots of cobwebs behind the beds. In the first room we were given, I heard a rattling sound from the AC unit and thank goodness I gave way because the next thing I saw was water pouring down from the unit. In the next room, the AC unit was always playing up and the fridge never chilled the drinks even after they changed it.
The towels had a peculiar smell. There was no soap in the dispensers in the toilets, hairs from previous occupants were on the floors and beds.

Kitchen:
Lots of unsuitable food choices. I could not recognise the cereal. We had to pass on some mealtimes, it was a huge struggle for my son who usually eats a lot.
When you do eat, be prepared to fight the flies with your left hand. They come prepared waiting on the table before you arrive. Plates and cups were not cleaned properly, interesting, the cutleries were well cleaned.

Pool:
The pool is not maintained, it is a health and safety hazard. Some of the steps in the pool are shaking.

Others:
External toilets can become very dirty and the floors wet and slippery. The stench from the steamer is horrible. The sauna is good and fit for purpose. The gym is not of this century.
The actual massage is great, with room for improvement in terms of facilities.
Although some residence think differently, but from my experience staff were generally good and they made the effort and did their best in a very difficult situation.
The hotel needs to shot down revamp and resurface.

Having read all the previous reviews l wasn’t quite sure of what to expect, however l do appreciate that everyone has their own opinion. Yes the hotel is more a 3 star than 5 but this is the same for the majority of hotels in Turkey. I had a room with 2 bedrooms, yes it was dated but more than adequate, let’s face it you only sleep in it.

The all inclusive meals were more than adequate with something for everyone, as for the swarms of flies mentioned in many reviews, they must of been oh holiday as well, as I only a couple throughout my entire stay.

The main attraction is the pool, it was great if you didn’t need a sun bed as all the British get up really early just to put towels on the beds without using them….. the all inclusive drinks mean that, you can have as much as you want, when you want.

I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the rooms are tidied every day with the fridges restocked with water and soft drinks daily.

The private beach has its own restaurant serving snacks and a full range of drinks which is all included. The beach itself is stoney but is shallow and good for children, there is also a life guard on duty daily. I did venture to Fizz beach which l found to be better than the hotels, there is free transport to and from the hotel, the beach is all sand with many various types of water sports available but the trade off is that nothing is free, the drinks, food and all the water sports is at a cost.

All in all myself and my family had a really good time and would return again.

Honest review while still staying here. Location is poor for anyone who hasn't got a car its a good 10-15 drive to the main strip and 20 mins to the old town. Food is hit and miss im not a fussy eater but honsetly the food is juat about edible, most of the food is lukewarm and the choice of food in very limited pretty much the same every day. I have found myself having to eat out several evenings due to a how busy the restaurant was and unable to cope with the number guests and gou loes your table evry time you go to get food . Room is a generous in size and very clean however thw noise although complained for the last 4 nights about the noise from the main lobby area where they hold evening entertainment every night it is near impossible to sleep before 2 or 3 in the morning every morning and then Awakened at at 9 a.m. my the entertainment team with loud music around the pool. I needed wifi for work most days that was intermittent to say the least and raised the issues numbers of times with again with reception just fobing me off. I asked several times to move room to be told to be refused every time. in short the hotel is a little outdated and staff overrun with the amount of people there's no accountability from management or staff when there are issues and you are dismissed when you do complain. I would not return even for the money.

Heading into this holiday with realistic expectations this hotel was a disappointment. First impressions weren’t bad, walking into a pretty decent lobby area.
We had a family room which had a good lay out, unfortunately it could have done with a decent clean. Very dirty in places and the bed sheets had minor stains on them. The bathroom smelt dank, but was a decent size.
One of the biggest let downs was the food. Although we always found something we could tolerate, it was just that. Repetitive and flat, breakfast and lunch were very poor. We found that we were having the same thing every day, and we did try pretty much everything on offer. The only positive on the food side was the offerings from the BBQ and chips. The pool was nice and clean and we enjoyed our time in around it. The beach was ok, sandy at first the onto a stones section at the sea. The other hotel beaches next to the Ramada have cleared these rocks for their customers.
We didn’t expect a full entertainment package as we were staying at the end of the season, but we still found it severely lacking.
This resort is not all inclusive, the spa and photography staff are constantly hounding you to part with your money. The juice bar, popcorn and bingo are all at your expense and everyone expects a tip.
We made the best out of this holiday, but ended up supplementing the stay with meals out and excursions to compensate for the lack of things to do around the resort making this stay expensive. The weather was great, the resort was not.

We have just come back from 10 nights at this hotel. Was really worried having read the reviews!
We arrived just after 2300 and the reception staff were really helpful and even made us laugh after a stressful journey!
For the price we paid for 10 nights in the school summer holidays we were happy. Yes we've stayed in cleaner rooms and had better food but we also paid a lot more for those holidays! The staff were really helpful and friendly. Cleaning staff did well considering a lot of people staying at the hotel were unable to put any of their rubbish in bins!
Food was a little samey but again reflective of the money paid. Animation team were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble.
Some guests did have issues with their air con while we were there but this didn't affect our room. The hotel is a short walk from the beach or a 5 minute shuttle bus, and a short walk or taxi ride to shops and restaurants.
