Seher Sun Palace Resort & Spa presents a contrast in guest experiences. While the hotel's beachfront location earns consistent praise, opinions differ regarding its ambiance, with some appreciating the tranquil vibe and lively dance nights despite the outdated decor. The amenities receive mixed reviews, noting both the commendable cleanliness and variety of food, yet there are mentions of stray cats and missing features like baths. Travelers frequently express discontent with the value, room conditions, and inconsistent service, although the hotel's overall cleanliness and food hygiene are often commended.

In general everything was good, we expected the worse conditions due to many bad feedbacks about the hotel. The territory of the hotel rather small, but includes spa, bar and water slides, and the hotel's beach is big. Unfortunately the beach is not very clean, although there is a person who cleans the sand.
Food is tasty, althought main dishes like fried eggs, chicken and potatoes repeat every day. There are a lot of snacks during the day so you won't be hungry. All the food is behind the glass due to covid restrictions and there are often long lines in peak hours. The restaurant team is the most pleasant among hotel's personnel.
The main regreat is room cleaning that equals zero and electronic key to the room that works extremly bad. The towels and linens were not changed during 9 days. Be ready for the maid opened your door without warnings. To open the room somethimes we stand for 5-8 min in front of the door. One time the maid came to help us and her master key didn't work as well.
There is no animation due to covid.

As we have to fly in/out of Antalya in Winter months from Scotland we decided to break our journey and see what Side has to offer.
We picked this hotel mainly based on price and its 4/5 star rating on various booking websites.
We were probably neither delighted or disappointed with our selection.
We could not fault the waiters, cleaners, daytime reception staff or overall cleanliness of the hotel.
Selection of foods at all meal times is plentiful and varied. There was always usually something that you could eat.The food in general was pretty bland in taste for our palate, and what we have to come to expect in Turkey over the years.
Drink on offer was again reasonable for the budget .All drinks were locals no brandy or bacardi on offer.Beer was pretty good and wine at mealtimes was acceptable.Personally we were not too impressed with anything else we tried.
Our main disappointment was with our room.It was not in keeping with the hotel ratings or reception /bar/restaurant areas.
Cant comment or other hotel room ,but we were based in the top floor in a family room though only 2 of us!It was in one of the main blocks in the hotel .
The phone in the room didn't work (yes we reported, but never got fixed). The flooring in room looked as though had suffered water damage to the laminate style planks. The bathroom shower area was pretty dated and definitely needed regrouting/sealing.Both tvs were vintage and must be about 10 years old at least.
About 30% of the double bed and lounge ceiling was on a slope and you would continually bump your head going in/out bed or using tea/coffee facilities.
Use of safe in room is not included despite being an AI hotel.I would like to hope that they have plans in place to refresh this room over the Winter period.
On the booking website we used, we opted for a standard room as opposed to a budget rooms I dread to think what they may be like!

Really nice Christmas break.
Review of Seher Resort & Spa
Pending review
Having read the reviews, we were apprehensive about this hotel, but in all fairness, it was spotlessly clean, the cleaners never stopped cleaning, and would always clean your room if you requested it, using the door sign. The heating and air con both worked.
The food was ok, loads to choose from, but for allergy suffers or people on specific diets I.e me, some simple signage would be helpful. We found the waiters to be mostly helpful, some miseries, but hey ho so would I be.
Reception offered us a €50 upgrade on arrival, which we declined, and regretted. We both had flu for the week, so weren’t at our best, but I think if we’d been well, we’d have been bored, but it suited us just sitting about in the sun. Yes there are cats, but theyre spotlessly clean, and very friendly, and well cared for, and we loved having them there. The pool was a total no go, it was absolutely freezing, the sea was warm enough to swim in though.
The beach is ok, in the winter, it’s very bleak, and the walk to old Side, is a hotch potch of lovely & horrible looking hotels, but with really rank looking beach fronts with just the metal frames left for the summer sunshades.
We had a nightmare with our transfer, and reception helped us to sort it out, they also helped us with excursions.
For £800 for us both for a week in sunshine over Christmas, it was value for money.

Lovely room two ladies we asked for 2 single bed and they gave us a lovely clean family room shared bathroom double in one room two single in other with balcony z😊👍. So far cleaners and gardeners working all the time 👍😊 relaxed atomsphere food is fine it’s turkey 👍 service good you can order more than two drinks at a time all good facilities for children too has lovely private beach with plenty of beds etc. musaffa and his staff constantly clearing tables resetting and still have time to chat fetch drinks etc 👍. People complained about the tablecloths we have found them spotless in fact very lucky as many hotels cutting back on this type of service and many just like work canteens z🤔. So I really have no idea what people are complaining about this is a good value for money Holiday and I would definately com again 👍😊😎🥂🍾🍹

I don't normally write a review but given some of the negative reviews here, which almost had me cancelling and booking a different hotel, I though I would as i was glad i stayed with my original choice.
No i don't think the hotel is a 5 star, but its a good 3+, but i'm not sure really what others are expecting for the price being paid. The Hotel is a smaller hotel and caters for a more relaxed holiday and was perfect for what we were looking for. Yes the main clientele are from Germany and given that its their bread and butter it stands to reason that they would cater towards them.
We arrived late due to a flight delay and we were checked in swiftly and politely by reception, given a top floor room which i requested, not with a direct sea view unfortunately but close enough (in hindsight this was a mistake as all the evening entertainment is by the bar and can be very noisy, but it didn't really stop any of us from sleeping). We were advised that although the main restaurant closed at 9pm, there was food provided at the patisserie, which included cold meats, cheeses, lots of salad, soup and some hot meals, which was perfect as filled a hole before we sent to bed.
Our Room was clean and functional i don't have any complaints, the drains were a bit pongy but that resolved itself after 4 showers, to be expected with all the dry weather. There was a safe which you pay 2 euros a day for which we utilised and a mini bar which was stocked everyday with bottles of water, coke, fanta, and some juices.
The main buffet restaurant had a large selection of choices, and yes very continental but why go abroad if you are expecting bacon and egg. The extend of the food on offer, someone should find something to eat. All fresh salads and vegetables, there is even a kids buffet for the fussiest of eaters (pasta, nuggets, chips etc). Outside by the bar they have a set up for cooking breakfast they do omelettes and fresh pancakes, and for dinner its a grilled meat and fish. The Garden Restaurant does personal pizzas, Burger and lovely Jacket Potatoes, and the Beach restaurant is similar to main buffet but on a much smaller scale, although there is a lovely lady doing quesadillas sweet and savoury.
The Main buffet has a different themed dinner most evenings and there is entertainment every night with the exception of Sunday.
The Beach is kept clean and there are plenty of loungers both in shade and sun, given the time of year i found the sea warmer than the pool as its not heated but it didn't stop the kids from being in there.
I found the staff to be very friendly some speaking good English some don't but i never found any trouble conveying my requests. Not in anyway did I find them rude, they are a little abrupt but thats the nature.
Side Town itself is definitely worth a visit and you can catch the Dolmus from the main road it takes between 5-10 minutes to get into town depending on traffic and is about 100 lira for a family of 4 so just over £3.
All in all we had a lovely holiday and we would return.

We vacationed as a family of three from 29.07 to 12.08. Standard room: double bed and single. There is enough space for everyone. The window overlooks the sea. We paid $25 for the room upon check-in; we decided that the amount was acceptable for 2 weeks. This is apparently the hotel’s policy: upon arrival, everyone is shown a room, frankly, not very good, and then a good one, and they ask for an additional payment for it. The area is small and relatively green. The food in the restaurant is varied, a large amount of meat, which you will not find in other hotels: beef, lamb, and turkey. Several types of fish, including tuna. Every evening they cook something on the grill. In the mornings they also make omelets and pancakes there. The beach is large, there are always enough sun loungers. The only thing is that the access to the sea is quite narrow and there are a lot of people at sea. The feeling of herrings in a barrel is present. We attended evening shows several times: Turkish night twice and a show about Michael Jackson. They play volleyball and boccia on the beach, and there were also announcements about water aerobics. We really never got there. Children's club for children under 12 years old, they draw something there. Teenagers are a bit bored. The rooms are cleaned well, our towels were changed every day. Beach towels are changed for a fee of $1 per towel. We have never encountered this before. Overall the holiday experience is very good.

Reception won't do basic stuff for you unless you give them a tip at every conversion. Poolside bar were they prepare pizza/burgers makes you wait over an hour for your food then serve others within 15 minutes (only guests from some countries get this treatment while others are rudely spoke too). One towel for a week stay as Reception and spa were you pick up towel won't give you a new one even if you return old towel. Outside the hotel there is a bazaar were women get followed until they get back to hotel by the men running the shops during the time were they are followed the men shout words in Turkish at them or wolf whistle at the women. No iron provide by hotel so which need ironing won't be.

Only part of Seher hotel that worth the rating hotel is the lovely elderly gentleman who driver you from pool to beach.
Don't book it this hotel if you are black please bare in mind that it doesn't matter if you have the same religion as some the people who work inside this hotel as they view themselves as European first then Muslim second. They only cater to white Europeans/or Turkish, and blatant incidents of racist by their staff get ignored.

We vacationed with our family for 16 days in July. We have been to Turkey many times in different hotels and in different regions. This is the worst hotel we have visited. Three stars is the maximum. The reception staff is nothing like that, the complete feeling is that you came here for free and fell on their heads with your problems. Come back in an hour - this is their favorite phrase. If you manage to end up in this hotel, be persistent when problems arise, otherwise nothing will be solved. The rooms are mostly disgusting and dirty with old furniture, beds with damaged mattresses (they moved and changed the room 3 times) and air conditioners that do not work or barely work. The smell of sewage and falling furniture. The food in the restaurant is very monotonous and the choice is poor. Meat only in the form of small pieces with vegetables, like a stew. The only day that was a little pleasing was the fish themed dinner. We couldn’t wait for cutlery. The waiters do not serve drinks, only self-service. You can’t ask for napkins. A spa is a separate issue - massages will be done on dirty oily towels, creaky, falling apart massage tables, the best specialists ‘’. Having a higher medical education, I would like to point out that there is no massage - people don’t even know anatomy at all. It will not bring you any benefit, it’s good if it doesn’t harm. Beach towels are dirty from oil tanning products and hard from salt. They are not washed, just dried and issued again the next day for a fee. The spa center employees blame the hotel for this, the reception blames the spa center employees for this. In general, you can't find it. There is no animation as such. Elevators without air conditioning, hallways, and reception are also very stuffy. The beach is normal, there are enough sun loungers. The employees on the beach are the only conscientious workers who clean the beach every evening, collect garbage and level the sand. The hotel needs renovation and a change in staff and concept. Very unpleasant impressions from visiting the hotel, this is the first time this has happened after a trip to Turkey.

The hotel is not bad, the food is 4, we were pleased with the delicious food and baklava, which is 5+, the beach is sandy, but dirty, the river with turtles is cool, but the water in the sea is colder and dirtier because of it. We swam further away from our beach, a little to the side. The attitude of the staff towards Russian speakers is noticeably worse than towards Germans. The hotel is generally aimed at Europeans. Check-in after all German speakers, not a minute earlier than 14-00. The dishes in the restaurant, like everywhere else, are chipped and not very washed. It's okay, that's enough. The safe is paid - they didn’t take it, but nothing was missing! Cleaning is also symbolic, a change of towels and a little sand will be swept away with a damp cloth. Soap bottles were replenished as they were used. The coffee and tea are delicious. Beach towels are not very good at all, replacement costs apply. Thank you and hamam as everywhere else. I enjoyed my vacation, but more thanks to my positive attitude😁 Animation is also for Europeans. Alcohol is like everywhere else in Turkey, you don’t get drunk and your head doesn’t hurt)))

3-4 people who smiled and were nice. 95% of the guests are from Germany, Poland, Russia, the Netherlands. Rock hard beds. All inclusive was disappointing, little variety. You only get ice cream from 14:30-16:00. Pizza/hamburger from 11-16. Belgian waffle (long queue) 15-16. Drinks are served in small thin plastic cups if you do not specify that you want a large hard plastic cup. I put the sunscreen on the table by the sunbeds when we were going to eat, when we came back after 15 minutes, someone who cleaned the glasses etc. had taken them. To throw them!! Went to complain, everyone speaks bad English. Went to reception, same problem, no sunscreen. NOK 500 in sun cream before we left and another NOK 500 for new sun cream after they started throwing it away! No help or compensation to be had. If you want your room on the day of departure, you must shell out 50 Euro.
So I would recommend EVERYONE to steer clear of the hairdresser on the lower floor. Pedicure/manicure, Ouch! Oh terrible job done.
