I don't normally write a review but given some of the negative reviews here, which almost had me cancelling and booking a different hotel, I though I would as i was glad i stayed with my original choice. No i don't think the hotel is a 5 star, but its a good 3+, but i'm not sure really what others are expecting for the price being paid. The Hotel is a smaller hotel and caters for a more relaxed holiday and was perfect for what we were looking for. Yes the main clientele are from Germany and given that its their bread and butter it stands to reason that they would cater towards them. We arrived late due to a flight delay and we were checked in swiftly and politely by reception, given a top floor room which i requested, not with a direct sea view unfortunately but close enough (in hindsight this was a mistake as all the evening entertainment is by the bar and can be very noisy, but it didn't really stop any of us from sleeping). We were advised that although the main restaurant closed at 9pm, there was food provided at the patisserie, which included cold meats, cheeses, lots of salad, soup and some hot meals, which was perfect as filled a hole before we sent to bed. Our Room was clean and functional i don't have any complaints, the drains were a bit pongy but that resolved itself after 4 showers, to be expected with all the dry weather. There was a safe which you pay 2 euros a day for which we utilised and a mini bar which was stocked everyday with bottles of water, coke, fanta, and some juices. The main buffet restaurant had a large selection of choices, and yes very continental but why go abroad if you are expecting bacon and egg. The extend of the food on offer, someone should find something to eat. All fresh salads and vegetables, there is even a kids buffet for the fussiest of eaters (pasta, nuggets, chips etc). Outside by the bar they have a set up for cooking breakfast they do omelettes and fresh pancakes, and for dinner its a grilled meat and fish. The Garden Restaurant does personal pizzas, Burger and lovely Jacket Potatoes, and the Beach restaurant is similar to main buffet but on a much smaller scale, although there is a lovely lady doing quesadillas sweet and savoury. The Main buffet has a different themed dinner most evenings and there is entertainment every night with the exception of Sunday. The Beach is kept clean and there are plenty of loungers both in shade and sun, given the time of year i found the sea warmer than the pool as its not heated but it didn't stop the kids from being in there. I found the staff to be very friendly some speaking good English some don't but i never found any trouble conveying my requests. Not in anyway did I find them rude, they are a little abrupt but thats the nature. Side Town itself is definitely worth a visit and you can catch the Dolmus from the main road it takes between 5-10 minutes to get into town depending on traffic and is about 100 lira for a family of 4 so just over £3. All in all we had a lovely holiday and we would return.…
