we came for the second time - it was disappointing.. no privacy in the room even after turning on "do not disturb", the cleaner and other staff come in whenever they want. The noise made by the staff in the corridors from 8 o'clock in the morning. Housekeeping is declined. The food in the main building is poor, it appeared that there is a saving in the quality and freshness of the food (the quality check is carried out in the middle of the meal time and the dishes are simply taken away because they are not suitable for eating). Most people ate at the beach cafe because there is something to eat and it's fresh. The food in restaurants is also worse than a year ago, it's actually the same as in the canteen, only you get additional service. The beach is not very clean, the dogs do their natural things right there (children play with the same sand nearby), the sunbeds are free at one end of the beach, but the deckchairs are stacked at the other end of the beach. I can only praise the reception and lobby staff. After such a vacation, I don't know if I want to visit with my family next year :-/…

This is our second visit. We went in May and had the terrace room. First impressions were bad regarding the room - it was dirty and we had to call two times before the finally said they would come by tomorrow. I had to clean it myself. The other bad thing was the lack of English speaking staff. We had a few issues and this made it more difficult. There were no heated pools at all indoors. The good things were the food, entertainment, clean facilities, closeness to the beautiful beach and the options for snack bars and drink bars. We had a very good time and will very likely to again but stay at the k club or Fulya instead.

Traveled with 2 and 4 year. Terrace rooms are in a very bad condition. Mold and wet smell. Needs update Bathroom needs renovation. Cleaning very bad. Had to call 3x to redo or come clean at all. Other times just gave up on the cleaning. Large area, different pools, food okay, beach nice. Family's and retired people mostly. Pools unheated English speaking staff hard to find.

LOCATION- approx 1 hr transfer from airport. Part of large Kamelya collection of 3 hotels within lovely grounds, which were not all fully open when we arrived at beginning of April. Lots of shops approx 15 mins walk (left along beach path to bridge then follow river path) ROOM-spacious with 2 queen size beds together and a single bed too. Bath with shower. Hairdryer, shower gel, conditioner, body lotion. Free mini bar restocked daily, safe, tea/coffee, dressing gown, slippers. The air con was not yet working until warmer so hotel felt warm to us from uk! FOOD/DRINK- Extensive buffet for all meals. ( didn’t use a La cartes) Gluten labels were clear. Wine was pleasant. Cocktails could have been better. The Coffee House also served cakes and ice cream all day. POOLS/BEACH- wide sandy beach with loungers etc. We only used Selin pool as other pools were not open when we arrived. Aqua park opened every afternoon. ENTERTAINMENT- Entertainment team were friendly and some daytime activities were available e.g. shooting, fitness, darts, water polo. Evening entertainment was inside e.g. bingo, Mr Mrs Hotel, dance shows, live music (a large amphitheater is used in peak season) The ‘Festival’ night at the pool bar included live music and food. STAFF-Hard working staff keep the hotel really clean. Drinks are served to tables in the restaurant and sometimes in the bars. Hotel APP is efficient at notifying any additional room needs e.g. bottle opener, shower gel. Staff who need recognition: Narel, Safiye, Kutlay We would return to this hotel!…

We booked … room for 6 nights. We traveled with a toddler, so a spacious room and safety was priority for us. It’s a longread, so please be patient:) On a day one, blocked sink that wasn’t properly fixed first time, so we decided just to live with it Day two, bathtub leak, flooded bathroom (issue was resolved shortly after) on the same time room service that we didn’t request entering room while me and the baby were asleep and wife taking a bath, they entered room after single knock and shout out “Room service”, they were in and out within 10 seconds or so after knocking the door, my wife was frightened that staff might enter bathroom while she is the bath naked! I woke up when I heard announcement and reached door within seconds and there was no one there anymore that’s how quick they entered and exited. A complaint about this was made along with the issue about the bathroom. On day three, no hot water in the sink after bath repairs (after couple of complaints we just didn’t want to ruin our holiday any farther by complaining about the issues every day, we already felt guilty that we must complain again and that’s just not right, so we just left it as is) DND sign was on all day long, but staff who restocks minibar entered the room within couple of seconds after knocking the door and announcing themselves not giving a chance to respond at all. Luckily everyone was dressed at the moment. Same with cleaning, but at least they wait for about 30 seconds before entering the room. Again, DND sign was on all day long. Same day we found out that air conditioner was not cooling air so I had to contact reception again, they stated that cooling is switched off for low season. When we were looking for a hotel, air conditioning was a must for us, so I mentioned that they are mis selling their hotel, but they didn’t care about that and told us that they have air conditioning but is on for the heat only during low season, they told us to keep windows open – disregarding the fact that we have toddler and it isn’t safe also they have placed signs in the room not to keep windows/doors open as some pests/flies etc might enter the room! Besides the safety issue, open windows weren’t an option because of the dog barking most of the nights and smell from the kitchen during the day. We were offered to change the room, but that wouldn’t resolve the issue with non-existing air conditioning. Day four. Same story with staff who restocks minibar. I was standing few meters away from the door when he knocked the door and my daughter was right beside the door at that time so I barely had a time to pull my daughter out of the way when he already swiped a card and opened door. My wife was getting dressed at the time. So either the staff is completely out of touch with reality and don’t understand what privacy is and that sooner rather than later they will step in on someone who is naked or worse, or are they really trying to see someone exposed?! Imagine that it is your wife or your daughter changing at the time – that’s a criminal offense not just poor guest treatment! After that encounter we made a complaint to the Customer relationship staff who didn’t understand why is this is an issue and told as to keep do not disturb sign otherwise their staff can enter (so that would mean no room cleaning or minibar refilling) – we did try to clarify the statement and explain that staff should give guests an adequate time to respond and not to enter room within couple of seconds, they still were adamant that there is no issue with that, so I requested meeting with hotel manager, instead I was offered to meet Customer relationship manager but only on Monday (which was day 5 for us) as it was Saturday and no management available. After speaking to their manager on Monday morning, she apologised and said that indeed staff should not enter the room without trying to knock and announce themselves 3 times as to give guests plenty of time to respond and that at the customer relationship desk young lad that spoke to me is new and he might not understood me right and she will inform the staff management about the issue and this will not happen again. I was very shocked to hear that they keep staff who might be unable to understand you or know on how to deal with sensitive situations at the front desk, especially at the weekend when you can’t reach their management, so the guests are left struggling. We were offered to change the room, but we decided to stay for the last two nights so as not to waste time packing-unpacking and who knew what issues another room would bring us. Next morning (day 6) we had same minibar staff coming in to the room in the same fashion, knock, announcement and card swipe at the same time - without waiting even 5 seconds he opened the door, that was it for me, so I went to reception and asked for hotel manager, they told me to deal with customer relationship desk but I had to decline explaining that I have done this already on couple of occasions and this didn’t fix the issue, I was told that they will try to get someone. In the meantime I saw door open for Front staff manager, so I knocked the door and he invited me in and offered a seat, I quickly explained the issues I am facing so he started to make calls to see if someone from management can talk to me now, he asked me to wait for him in his office while he stepped out of the office, couple of minutes later guy from customer relationship desk stepped in and told me that I am not allowed to be in this office, I was shocked and explained to him that I was asked to wait here, but he was adamant and told me that I should leave this office and come to his desk (in the meantime same manager who asked me to wait was standing behind him talking on his mobile and said nothing). A couple of minutes later I was told that we can have a meeting with deputy hotel manager in 30min, so I agreed. In the meantime my wife was on the beach trying to get toddler away from tractor that was on the beach cleaning and setting up foot paths. The beach wasn’t closed for the guests, no signs of repair works and all the works were conducted among the sunbeds. When a tractor unloaded a huge pile of wooden pallets within one meter from them, she decided to leave the beach. So while she was trying to get our daughter seated in the buggy one of the tractors backed up behind her back and frightened her till tears. She rang me right away and we decided that we pack our bags and leave this hotel now, we had booked this place till next day, but we decided to check out now and book something else for our last night as that was the red line. Right after this I went to that meeting with deputy hotel manager and customer relationship manager (that I spoke to day before) and they did indeed agree with me that all my concerns are valid and tried their best to get us to stay and make things better, but this was far to late after so many complaints about range of issues we would just be hating everything at this hotel at this stage, our holiday was completely ruined and there was no going back. We have contacted booking.com and they have requested a refund from this hotel, now 1-week later the hotel hasn’t even responded…

I would be back to this hotel again. Very active , clean and nice hotel according to the low season. The worst holiday I have ever had no where open other than the lobby/ restaurant absolutely full of kids 6/7 football teams running around the hotel up and down the lifts, restaurant full of kids no where to sit and have a relaxing meal,food absolutely disgusting same every day breakfast lunch and dinner wine un drinkable The one star is for the room no complaints there other than there could be one English Channel on other than world news. Overall a lovely hotel. The only thing that's disappointed us is the fact there's an A'la Carte restaurant that you can use once for every 6 nights of stay - but nobody told us that you have to book in advance for this. It doesn't state it on the information sheet, and you don't have to book for the other restaurant so we weren't to know that as we weren't informed when we checked in. We tried to go last night and it was empty and there was still an hour and a quarter left until it closed, its only myself and one other friend and we were told we couldn't use it. We wouldn't have minded if it was busy, but there had only been 6 people booked in for that night but by the time we got there nobody was there. We tried to book for tonight instead but were told it's fully booked due to a large group, and it's our last night so we've now missed out because of this. Our 2th visit to Kamelya Selin hotel and we were not disappointed! Staff could not do enough to make our stay fantastic. Food variety was excellent. general manager Erkut OZTURK who always checks that all guests are ok. for the first time, a general manager took care of us like a family and helped us. We will be booking our stay again summer.

We stay at this hotel once or twice a year. Excellent location by the sea in a a very nice green area. Excellent management. I love talking to the staff: everyone remarks the strictness, but the fairness and respectful, friendly attitude towards them from the General Manager Erkut Ozturk. And for us, the guests, it is very important that the staff is calm, cheerful and friendly. Big respect to Erkut for that! He is highly educated, speaks several languages (including Russian ). A very comfortable hotel. Thanks a lot to Erkut Ozturk and all the hotel staff!
