We booked a budget price room, and that is what we got. The room was actually OK, just very small, possibly a converted store room. It was pleasant enough and very clean and the bed was comfortable, all we needed really. The floor above was very squeaky though.

We didn't expect to stay in Alexandra so wanted a reasonably cheap room. The motel had a compact room which is quite small but had everything we needed. It was cosy with the heater going as it was quite cold out and an electric blanket if needed. It had a fridge (free milk), toaster, kettle, dishes/cutlery and tea/coffee. What more...

On the plus side this motel has very comfortable beds. On the downside it felt stingy, with tea towels that were so thin they felt more like dusters, and only one small towel rail in the bathroom- not adequate for a unit sleeping up to six people. A rubbish bin would have been good in the bathroom too. The motel...

We stayed here for three nights and I have to sat that we would not stay again. The owners and staff were great but the room was in need of a refresh. There was no hot plate and the microwave was on the table which made it hard to sit at. The light above the mirror did not work and...

Hello Thank you for your comments. I will look into the none functioning heater and the light. Those units in the two storied block are on our maintainance list for this winter so will be refurbished then.

Very basic rooms but clean and tidy. Furniture set out poorly, couldn't see the TV from lounge chairs. Fridge was noisy during the night giving you a disturbed sleep. Walls were very thin constantly heard people and their TV in room next door. Our room was for 3 people only 2 chairs available.

When we arrived, we noticed the unit smelled of cigarette smoke and thought it must have been from the previous occupant. Unfortunately not. There is a table directly outside the unit which other guests smoke and drink at. The unit has old aluminium sliding windows which don't seal someone the unit filled with secondhand cigarette smoke. Not a nice thing...

Thankyou for your comments, the weekend you stayed with us coincided with a Trans Tasman tournament. there was an Australian team and a New Zealand team occupying several units around your unit. The lovely warm evenings that we have encouraged them gather around outside in the courtyard and there were quite a few smokers, unfortunately the smoke traveled your way,...

Efficient friendly and reasonably quiet place. Outside area for each Unit. If you are in a downstairs unit and there is a unit above above you - you might hear the people upstairs walking around. A bit disconcerting but not the end of the world. Central - the New World is just over the road and the units have a...

Stayed here whilst attending a friends wedding. With limited accommodation in town. The room was musty, the fridge was noisy all day and all night. We were also on the bottom floor so could hear the large family above all night when they went to the toilet not a pleasant experience but at least it was a bed for a...

On checking into our room we were aware we could hear clearly conversations in the room next to ours due to paper thin walls. Then there was the pounding of children up the external wooden stairs to upstairs rooms followed by heavy footsteps and creaking floorboards above us as people walked around . We had booked for 2 nights and...

Thank you for your comments This is the height of the holiday season which lasts for about 10 days so it is great to see everybody out enjoying themselves. Most times we are able to accommodate guests requirements but not this time, this was the case. We wish you well on your travels.

We stayed here while attending a 90th birthday party. The staff were friendly. The room we stayed in was comfortable and had a great heater which was appreciated given that it was very cold outside over the weekend. Definitely not a 5 star hotel but we weren't wanting one of those. Very comfortable and good value for money.
