Friendly host, waited for us even though we were coming in really late at 8pm. Gave us a walkabout of this unit, wifi codes for everyone, great gardens and patio, clean comfortable beds, and well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Decent prices too.

We were so pleased with our stay at The Alexandra Garden Court Motel. It is quiet, peaceful and in the most beautiful setting. The room was comfortable and warm which we were pleased about as it was a cold night.

We picked this stay from trip advisor because it had no negative reviews. Set in a quiet garden it was old but in very good condition, clean and comfortable. Lots of room and a nice firm bed. One of the best places we have stayed in our trip around the South island.

This was a lovely roomy unit with a separate bedroom down a couple of steps. Clean and tidy. The unit had a door opening out the rear to the beautiful garden. Pity we were only here over night. There was also a bar-be-que area that was available to use.

Firstly, a disclosure.... We have been staying at this motel for 1-2 weeks every summer for 8+ years, simply because the location is really convenient (especially to rail trail and river) and the hosts Denise and Rolly are just good folk who really look out for their guests. Nothing is a problem. The gardens/lawns are well kept (the signature of... More

We stayed here in March 2014 for one night in a studio unit. Although the motel is located on a main road, it was very quiet. The unit was clean and tidy and all we needed for one night. There were patio doors which opened onto our own terrace and the lovely garden. We would stay again but perhaps choose... More

Stayed here twice now, nice and quiet with friendly host, rooms are nice and big and of good value. Shower had good pressure and was warm. No street noise and very quiet. Would stay again, and it even has a geocache at the gates

We stayed in this Motel as a second choice, as the Motel we loved to stay at, while in Alexandra, was fully booked. What a great choice Motel. We were given a lovely 1 bedroom unit, with an extra queen size bed in living area. The motel was a little older but exceptionally clean and tidy, with every thing you... More

This was our second stay here and we would certainly be back again if touring Central Otago again. Both times we have enjoyed the luxury of a large unit.. Spotless, with space to spare, set back from the road and quiet, located in a lovely garden - it doesn’t get much better than this. Denise, the host, is more than... More

Not only was the room great, but the back patio looking onto the lawn and gardens was perfect for reading and relaxing. Everything one needs in the kitchen, plus laundry facilities, making it a great place to stay during a road trip. Also excellent advice about what to see and where to eat in the area!
