I stayed at El Sol in February 2017 as part of a large family group. I stayed in the large cabin with my wife and two kids, while other family members filled the small cabin and the main house. We had an incredible time, and felt the benefits of this property far outweighed the downsides, but it is worth knowing...

El Sol was truly one of our favorite memories of our trip. The adorable cabins Elisabeth and family have built truly show dedication and craftsmanship. The property is set atop a hill with a continuous breeze and beautiful sunsets. Our daughters ages 8 and 11 really enjoyed getting to know Nagrita the property dog. They spent their time in the...

+ beautiful sprawling property with great views + nice quaint and cozy cottages situated far from each other for privacy + delicious traditional homecooked meals by the caretaker's wife + nice outdoor pool and sauna area - location is quite far from sta elena town so you may be better off getting a car to avoid spending for cars everyday...

We stayed here in April 2013. We reached the property not knowing what to expect. The small cottage we got was quaint and comfortable. Until we spotted a small scorpion on the ceiling! Havier tried to catch it but when it ran off somewhere in the room, kindly moved us to a larger cottage as a result. This was even...

My husband booked this as a surprise and the views took my breath away so much that I actually had tears in my eyes. It really is stunning looking out from the cabin verandah. This is a quirky place but also a rejuvenating relaxing one. We had the large cabin which had tons of room. Our double bed looked out...

This is my favorite place of anywhere I have stayed in the whole world! It just had that feel, that view, that peace I was looking for. We did some activities that were truly spectacular. But I plan on going back and just staying on property. We had our 4 children with us and they too loved the feel of...

We stayed here for three nights and it was a treat. Elisabeth kindly ungraded us to a private hut, down a secluded pathway overlooking the valley below. It's a very peaceful place, you don't really need to leave. We had a few trips booked though so we did venture out- that would be one of the only slight downsides, that...

We stayed for two nights in a bungalow which had amazing views across the valleys, and butterflies and hummingbirds on the doorstep. Elisabeth was a perfect hostess and made sure we had everything we needed. Carlos met us on arrival and made us feel at home, the road to El Sol is very bumpy and needs a 4x4 really. We...
