Staying at Grace & Renzo's in Monteverde was one of the highlights of our 2 week trip to Costa Rica. We immediately connected with Grace the minute we arrived. She was incredibly helpful in offering us suggestions of things to do in the area, recommending restaurants, and setting up reservations for activities. From the minute we checked in, we did not have to worry about a thing! The location is great for walking to restaurants and into town. The B&B was spotless and breakfast was delicious every morning. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about the B&B, Grace, and her lovely family. If you are looking to stay in Monteverde, look no further. We will be back to visit again as soon as we can! Thank you Grace!!!
Recommended three star hotel. Very clean. We got a big room (room 8)- a studio apartment, which included a fully equipped kitchenette, a dining area and a sitting area and a balcony. The place is high. The owner Grace is lovely, from the first minute we felt like at home. She is a warm, intelligent, and a friendly woman. She speaks Spanish, English, Italian and Chinese. Grace helped us with anything we asked for, whether in consulting or guidance, printing material we needed, ordering taxis, etc. This is a small, intimate hotel. The dining room is at the upper level, has a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean. Breakfast is not a buffet but everyone gets his or her dish. You can start with orange juice (not fresh) which is free, cornflakes again free, and then you get tropical fruits. A second serving was omelet, scrambled eggs, sunny side up eggs, chakchouka (eggs cooked with tomatoes), toast with cheese or sausage, etc. .. You can ask Grace for extra things that are not on the menu like tomatoes. When I retuned back, GRACE sent me an e-mail asking if we have arrived safely. In addition, she asked how we are under the Corona. This is Grace. The only disadvantage that this time was advantageous because of the Corona, is the location of the hotel. It is not in the center, although it is possible to reach the center on foot but there are ups and downs along the way and not everyone can do it or love to do it. The problem is not grave because for $ 2 you can reach the center. There is no TV.…
Our family of five were welcomed by Grace who went above and beyond helping us select tours, arrange transportation, and dinner reservation. The breakfasts were excellent and served with plenty of food. If we come back to the area, we would stay here again.
We would just like to thank Grace for being such a beautiful person when we visited her B&B last Christmas in 2019.We arrived on Christmas day to a beautiful sunny morning in Monteverde and the biggest smile and heart warming welcome from Grace. Staying at Grace & Renzo's B&B was truly relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms, the breakfasts and the service was impeccable. Grace was a ' font' of all knowledge about the best places to visit in the area, had all the recommendations for the most suitable restaurants to eat at . She was a breath of fresh air and such an interesting lady to listen to for advice along with her life story . She was also very interested is us as well and was keen to ask lots of questions. Nothing was too much trouble for her .. We would whole heartedly recommend anyone stay at her residence in Monteverde. The location is convenient with a 10 minute walk into town and a 20 minute walk back from town. The exercise back did us the world of good after all the fine dining in the great restaurants that they have in Monteverde. We will definitely visit again when we are in this part of the world.…
