What a peaceful experience we had. We stayed at the top (we had a car), and couldn't believe the views. There were lots of mountain bikers there (mainly teens and young adults), but it was so peaceful and quiet were we were, we wouldn't have known it until breakfast! We also did the night tour on the grounds- was fun...

We had a chance to stay 2 nights in this hotel in November 2013 and it was an amazing experience. The hotel is located in a very nice place (quite steep hillside) and on a large property so that shuttle service is in place for you to travel in between different areas of accommodation and pools, restaurants. We had great...

The title may sound harsh but you should know what your in for. The hotel was clean and fresh although it is ageing. The rooms are large but long and skinny. The hotel is on an incredible steep hill and you need to get to your room by a small van. This only runs until 10.00pm , each room has...

This was a pleasant surprise for us, we loved the hotel, the property is gorgeous and has so much to offer. Their front desk is excellent, especially Yael, she is a top class personnel and gives you a quick overview when you check in. The hotel exceeded our expectations! Based on some of the reviews we read on TripAdvisor, we...

The hotel and terrain and setting are beautiful. The room is gorgeous with a loft with a king size bed. Great family accommodations The trip here up a mountain on treacherous gravel unpaved roads is very tedious. We did the drive in sunshine with I driver. I would not like to drive it in a rental car or in the...

We stayed 2 nights. The view is amazing but the grounds are so spread out, makes u not want to check out everything. There is shuttle service available but only from 6 am - 10 pm. One evening we came back after 10, leaving us to walk UP hill for 1/2 mile or so and the lighting is so faint...

This was a very nice hotel. Originally I was sharing a room with another person as I was on a tour. We were going to be here 2 nights, so it was nice to air our our suitcases and hang some things up. However, while I was in the shower, it came to my attention that the hoses under the...

El Establo Mountain Hotel is the best hotel we stayed at in Costa Rica. It has amazing views and lots of wildlife. The view of the mountains and lake are superb and you can see so far. While staying there we took the night tour and saw lots of insects and frogs, but during the day walking around the hotel...

We stayed at El Establo for two days. The elevation is high enough that when the clouds roll in, they envelope the entire resort. The first day we were there it was raining and cloudy/foggy. The rooms have no air conditioning or heat, so we had our jackets on for a bit trying to stay warm while sitting in the...

We were here as part of a gate 1 tour (we did the plan A upgrade in our opinion money well spent). The hotel had the most amazing views. It is Eco friendly so no air conditioning (although it wasn't needed) the power was on only when your room key was present in room, so while you have a fridge...
