This hotel is very well located in Monteverde, with beautiful views of the mountains and the sea. Staff very friendly. Food is good for all, breakfast, lunch and dinner. We enjoy our stay here very much. We were close to many Nature reserves and enjoyed the visits. Lots of birds and beautiful forest to walk around.

Beautiful hotel with excellent service! We stayed in the Nicoya Suite and absolutely loved it. The hotel has a microbrewery and I would highly recommend the Nebusa Stout. Also, the food is amazing. The only complaint is that I only booked one night!

We only spent one night at the hotel but really enjoyed it! The place itself is reLly nice and the staffs are incredible! This is by far the best setvice i sern in a long time and i have been around the world! The hotel feels like a mountain lodge that would not be out of place in the alps. All wood and very cosy! You can reserve the hottub for yourself for free if you book if advence. The rooms are clean big and comfortable . We also had a gread mountain and jungle view as well a sunrise. A few reviews complained about the wind. If you think it will bother you, just dobt go to mobteverde as it is always windy and its nobodys fault. Most of the staff also spike really good english. The last 300 feet are on gravel road but unless you have a super sport car, it wont be an issue. We cant wait to go back again!

My friend and I stayed at Hotel Belmar during our trip to Monteverde last month and had a wonderful stay. I love how sustainable the hotel is and that it offers a great farm-to-table restaurant and even has a brewery on site. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! It's definitely the best place to stay when you're in this area of Costa Rica!

We stayed at Belmar in April 2021. THis property is spread across several buildings. There's the main lodge which also includes the restaurant and some rooms. There is also a building across the road from the main lodge which includes a tea room and other guest quarters. There is an onsite brewery down the hill which is a great spot to meet in the early evening for wine or beer. While we were there they had entertainment at the brewery - really good DJ. We stayed in the fourth building which is on a hill above the main lodge. I would highly recommend room 2. Very spacious unit with a living room, separate bedroom and an expansive deck with a jacuzzi and a swinging couch plus a view all the way across many miles to the ocean. The food at the restaurant is simply superb - we ate there twice. there is a farm on the property so the food is truly farm to table. So glad that they are so good because there really aren't good choices in town. The last morning they graciously brought our breakfast to our room so we could enjoy that wonderful view for a few moments more. The hotel arranged for us to tour Monteverde Biological Preserve with a guide - Carlos - who I would highly recommend. He showed us so many fascinating animals and his knowledge of the cloud forest was truly impressive. The only hiccup we had was the registration clerk that welcomed us rudely when we first arrived - everything else was so spectacularly good that I have to give them a pass on that.
