This is from our trip over Christmas 2019 where Jenn made special accommodations to fit our party of 6. It was exactly like walking through an epdisode of the world's most unique and special properties to stay at. Jenn is a perfectionist, extremely type A, built each treehouse with a different inspiration designed down to the way doors close and how natural wind flow can maximize throughout the treehouse; essentially, exactly what you need and want to have the experience of a lifetime. She built her tree-house property from essentially nothing, now built into a sanctuary where every tree house is remote, unique in structure, and unlike any accommodation experience I have ever had. She does run a tight ship, but that's to your benefit (addressing any of the minority of reviewers who cautioned that) - so let her handle your needs! Let Jenn handle the OCD so that you don't have too! Ask and you shall receive! We could ask her for a suggestion and within 30 minutes have 5 different itineraries planned, lined up, and ready to say "go." Jenn - thank you for your hospitality. You have built something truly unique, and as such you are a Queen! If you don't like social hours of housemade sangria and appetizers (first day was cheese croquettes... yum), overlooking amazing views, or cannot appreciate that Jenn has created a truly unique vision of her own with only your best interest in mind, then stay at a motel 6. Bucket list stay. Jenn - hope all is well! (late review post from xmas time) Best, Chris, the entire Denison family (and Courtney my girlfriend)

Exquisitely beautiful views, unobtrusive but thoroughly helpful and attentive staff, wonderful deliciously fresh breakfasts, time for reflection over sunsets with acquaintances from around the world, accommodations that blended with and intensified the natural beauty of the place and a determination to show the jewel of Monteverde at its very best characterized our days at this extraordinary hotel. Jenn, the owner, began building this fairytale place of repose out of a shack - literally - less than 20 years ago, and has a very distinct vision about what this little forest citadel will provide to those fortunate to spend time there. Jenn and her accommodating staff will make recommendations and arrangements with their strong local connections to ensure that guests can relax and enjoy the local community, restaurants and natural attractions. No review of Hidden Canopy Treehouse would be complete without mentioning Koki, the hotel's bird-whispering naturalist. He takes guests on daytime and night-time explorations of the area's natural diversity, is a delightful companion and is wise and deeply knowledgable in the ways of local birds, plants and animals and how they fit into the uniquely rich mosaic of cloud forest life. The hillside on which the hotel is built is studded with pools, ponds and running water, with guest trails to take in the overwhelming natural beauty. a garden area dedicated to feeding local birds and festooned with hummingbird feeders sits just outside and below the dining area fronted by large glass windows that can be opened to the outdoors completely on warm days. Here guests take their breakfast and gather again for 'teatime', which includes fragrant and delicious hors d'oeuvres, tea, sangria, wine and beer. Our all-too-brief stay here was perfect.

Hidden Canopy Treehouses is a spectacular place to stay in Monteverde. It’s close to town and many adventures. The treehouses are beautiful and the views unbelievable. The host Jen is a warm, kind woman who has thought of everything a guest could need. The staff are lovely. I’ve stayed in many 5 star resorts around the world and as far as boutique hotels go this is one of the best.

Our family had such a wonderful stay at the treehouses. Jenn is an excellent hostess. Koky is a wonderful nature guide. The setting in the cloud forest is magical. Each treehouse is uniquely situated and fully provisioned. The breakfasts and "tea times" are a delicious and surprising treat each day. I just can't say enough good things about this special place.

Everything about Hidden Canopy was perfect. I highly recommend this as your choice if you want top notch service and deluxe accomodations. We stay in a two bedroom treehouse with fabulous views of the Monte Verde forest. Views from the main lodge were also amazing. Tea time (which is really cocktail time) was a wonderful way to end each day. The staff were extremely friendly and the owner was always available.
