We made the most of our ten days. Initially we did feel a bit isolated as not many others were English from what we could tell until our last couple of days, where more and more seemed to be coming.
Appeared to be a massive selection of varied food although again could have done with a toastie machine etc as it was very European based food basically a roast for breakfast some mornings 🤔. Night time meals we were greeted with wine and cocktails, staff smiling and welcoming. Very friendly atmosphere from the staff. Plates cleared and area constantly cleared. Main let down was people pushing in, long queues for pancakes 🥞 people taking upto 8 maybe more with disregard for others, could do with two people making to bring down the lengthy queues.
Staff behind the bar were very friendly and tried their best to make our stay a nice one, always trying to throw some English in. Could do with a self service beer, Pepsi etc pump installed as it was constant queues for the bar. Cups also were tiny so back and forth.
Rooms were ok, cleaned most days, on occasion left without towels or toilet paper but easily rectified at reception. Corridors could do with the lighting improved as it did get pretty dark. AC worked amazing, too cold for me but amazing for the husband.
Beach was across the bridge which was ideal. Plenty of loungers and water sports available. Some big rocks in the water though which put us off going in the water much. Close enough to run back and forth for drinks.
Overall we had a great stay and didn’t want to leave. Our main complaint was the queuing and people pushing in front. But it most definitely wouldn’t put us off staying again.
Appreciate the staff . Every evening when was bbq for dinner all smells and smoke was in my room was like the bbq make in my room, first day when I come back from the beach and I saw lots of smoke I was thinking is fire, my wife she call at reception and said is a fire, that lady from reception said to wait 5 minutes 😁
Wi-Fi not free if you have room up then 2 floor
I paid 10€ for a week but not working
Waiting to much for elevator
The hotel have lots of potential to be a 5* hotel but Don’t investment
So my feedback back for this hotel is
Food 3*
Room 2*
Staff 10+
Pools 3* lots of bleach into the water
Activity 4*
The hotel and grounds were smaller live than in the photo, but this did not disappoint. The grounds are green, well maintained and beautiful. There are a lot of seals on and around the property. The hotel itself is decent, but requires cosmetic refreshment. The rooms are definitely in need of repair, both tarnished and scratched walls and broken furniture/plumbing, you can pick on that, but most of the day we've been at sea and out of the room, so not that important to us. With the room cleaning, the problems, almost never cleaned up, you had to ask for it. Wi-Fi in the lobby is free, but very slow, paid and good costs 12 euros per device. Walking outside the hotel is a good place, both close to Conakly and a 10-minute bus ride to Alanya.
The beach is nice, there would be no pebbles when going into the sea and in the sea itself big rocks, it would be wonderful at all. The sunbeds were better occupied early, we'd get there by 9-10 a.m. and everything was already taken. But there are paid gazebos (20 euros/day), which ended up being free (no one went and checked or demanded to leave or pay). The beach bar was outside the beach area, and did not work (only in the evening, as a place for animation), operated a pool bar and a snack bar (next to the beach).
The pools are good and clean all, the chlorines are not, shallow (maximum 140cm), the slides are normal, the most interesting can only be ridden with a circle, if not good, you will have to wait for the general.
The food in the restaurant is super, there's variety and everything is delicious, the only thing I wish was more local cuisine, it was almost non-existent. The snack bar is more uniform, but also delicious, especially ice cream, Vienna waffles and gezlem. Ala-carte is medium, the first courses are boring, it's more interesting, they didn't go to dinner afterwards. The bars are good, the soft drinks are too sweet, the juices are just yupi, the alcohol is normal, there were no consequences after it, but the wine is terrible, bought in the store nearby more interesting.
The hotel staff is nice, friendly and responsive. But there's a big problem with animation, and it was practically nonexistent. In the evenings, the most was a disco, karaoke, live music. And only once in 11 days did we see an acrobat perform. During the day, there was aqua aerobics, water polo or volleyball rarely. On hookah in the hotel - expensive (15 euros per hookah), does not discount, often sits alone and smokes himself, recommend a restaurant with hookah in Conakly, only 7 dollars.
The staff did not speak English, mainly spoke in Turkish or Russian. 95% of holiday makers in this hotel were Russian. If spoke in English they either ignored you or said no English.
The food was terrible it lacked variety and was not labelled at all, very few label were in English. The breakfast serial were the worst and tasted terrible and inedible. Lunch was even more foul. Evening dinner was ok. The food was geared to ward the Russian market.
The sunbeds were broken and Russian guest occupied them early in the morning. When we did get sunbed they were snatched off us by Russian guest when we went to the room for a short while and they moved our stuff and put to the side and took over the sunbeds. The floors were slippery and water spillages were not cleaned up. The hotel was failing apart with slippery tiles. The pool area was not cleaned properly there was food crumps littered everywhere. The sunbeds were not cleaned, neither were the tables by the sunbeds.
Free Wifi hardly worked unless you upgraded it for ten Euros. The hotel lifts were slow and did not work properly. The staff did not give proper information about what was included in the all inclusive packages in term of the use of SPA and the private restaurant which could be booked one evening per week.
Some reception were the most rude staff including one deputy manager. Kitchen staff did not what a spoon was. The spoons were hard to find. The knives and forks were left on tables bare and not wrapped in tissues on semi cleaned tables. The food plates and cutlery was not washed properly either.
The fruit in the restaurant tasted foul and well out of date. The is falling apart and the staff had very bad attitude. Only plus this that is had decent size swimming pools and the beach was nearby.
AVIOD this place like the plague. Not suitable for British tourists. 2 Stars only
Terrible food and terrible customer service and terrible cleanliness
Avoid this place.
Walking up to the room we were met with dim lighting to hide dated decor
The room had had 3 beds two single and a queen crammed into the living space and having paid extra for a sea view we simply got a flat roof the pool and trees and a few glimpses of the ocean disappointing for the extra cost.
Room cleaning was at random and despite raising the fact that the room service lights were not working for our room 4 separate times with reception it was hit and miss and a couple of times we had to request extra towels etc as we booked for 3 people but they kept servicing for two.
And being a non smoker people smoking constantly everywhere was not a great experience especially during meal times etc
The food was the same almost every night, Little to no signage as to what the dishes were and my son resorting to eating mash and chips and perhaps a piece of chicken if there was any very basic and limited and very poor compared to other all inclusive hotels we have stayed at. Dinner was chaos with long ques and then people pushing in all over the place no flow or organisation whatsoever.
The bars served beer and 4 different cocktails depending on what ingredients they had with constant long ques due to being understaffed
The pool was nice and the beach was nice needed to be up at 6:30 am to get sunbed though or there would be none by 7am and then you would see beds go unused all day but reserved with towels etc
I guess the excursions really made our holiday as we got away from the chaos of the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel and suggest you look elsewhere instead.
Firstly I would like to say how hard-working the staff are. They work non-stop cleaning and sweeping up. The bar staff are particularly overworked as there's usually only one person serving at each bar which is just ridiculous given the size of the hotel!
This hotel is not catered towards English people at all. This was evident as the entertainment was all in Turkish/Russian etc. When serving drinks, if they got wind of a British accent the small cups came out, as opposed to large cups which the Russians, Turkish etc were given. This was confirmed by another English couple we got talking to who'd had exactly the same experience and were equally annoyed by it. Discrimination is rife there.
Not once did any of the animation team approach us except on our last day when they were trying to get money from us to attend a foam party! Other than that we were invisible! No staff really spoke to us unless they were selling something.
Food was repetitive and the selection of drinks were very limited! Got sick of drinking the same 5 cocktails over and over. Apart from them there was beer, red wine, white wine, vodka, rum or whisky. That was it!
None of the staff could speak or understand English so if there was a problem nobody could help us. You just had to figure it out yourself.
The minibar is only stocked with soft drinks and water. You get Pepsi and orange for your first day but just water after that.
Sunbeds are taken quickly so you have to get up early to put your towels out and play them at their own game! The toilets around the pool area are quite dirty and rarely have toilet paper or hand-wash in them so beware. I used to take a roll down from the room in my beach bag just in case.
There isn't much to do immediately outside of the hotel. There is quite a large market a short walk away but that is literally it.
We thought we'd found a gem when we stumbled across an Irish Pub one night not far from our hotel. At last we thought we could socialise with fellow Brits. However, we were the only Brits in there, the only people actually apart from another table of Turkish people. No Irish music either, apart from one song they played after a quick Google search after being challenged.
Turkish Lira is not used much there either to our surprise and despair. They tend to use Euros mostly which was a pain as we quickly had to calculate the cost of things in Lira if wanting to buy anything.
On the whole I would not recommend this hotel. I certainly will not be returning! Apart from the weather, I'm glad to be back home!
Breakfast wasn't great, but food at lunch & dinner was decent with lots of variety.
Pools for all of us were fab and our kids (4 & 10) loved the slides.
Hotel cleanliness let down by poor outdoor toilets and poor indoor toilets on restaurant level.
Entertainment team were lovely & did a great job in the heat.
Bar & restaurant staff were helpful.
The all inclusive offering of drinks was hit or miss, running out of vodka & one type of gin which was disgusting to drink.
We only got one key card & had to pay a deposit for another one. Which we did, but we misplaced it. So paid another deposit for an extra key card for our room, which disappeared after our room had been cleaned. We tried to sort this out with Hotel Manager but he wasn't interested in resolving the matter to our satisfaction.
Hotel reception staff spoke limited English. So we were left with only one key card for the last 5/6 days, and the hotel didn't return either of the 2 key deposits we paid or offer us an extra key card as a gesture of good will.
Wi-fi for 2 weeks for 4 devices cost us 72 euros.
No iron in rooms. But safe in room was there & free to use.
Our room was in decent spot so we had pool/sea view, but the downside was that it opened into the centre of the hotel so was quite noisy at night.
Room was kept to a decent standard by house keeping.
Based on how we were treated by management I doubt we will return to this hotel.
I also wouldn't say having stayed there that it felt like a 5* hotel, more like 3-4*.
The hotel was on the beach but it was quite pebbly / stony under foot.
For all inclusive there were some some extras, such as ice-cream for sale near pool (though they served free ice cream during certain hours at snack bar), 5euros for 10 mins in small electric cars, games room, popcorn / lollies being sold at nighttime entertainment.
They have an a la carte restaurant which we booked for the first Friday night. We were asked if we wanted fish or chicken. We all opted for chicken. There were no menus, different courses were just brought out with no explanation what the food was. The chicken main was a curried chicken in a taco type shell with no side of any potato / veg. The food wasn't to our liking so we abandoned it & returned to the buffet restaurant.
It would be good if they were able to show us a Menu so we could've made an informed choice,
As the food wasn't suitable for our children.
We go down to the pool which is big and nice but old/worn,but fine and clean,it is very difficult to get one of the old (this is every day difficult to get room and the staff do nothing)
chairs so we go down to the beach which is right next to it is nice and it is to find a sun bed there are many stones in the water and I cut myself
on a rock, but the water is lovely. And there is life saver. Then it's dinner time there are a lot of people in the restaurant and huge queues, and poor selection of food and very difficult to get a table. Thro ⁇ the week, it is virtually the same selection of food.
Bad.
There is a spa in the hotel I highly recommend the staff are so nice and nice and you feel welcome and listened to. And the girls who do massage are good and cute. That was the only good thing about the hotel.
So it was a very disappointing experience at the hotel. The area around the hotel was, on the other hand, cozy.
Mahmut Is amazing, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We were lucky to have him as our rep.
We stayed on the lower ground and the housekeeper in our area was amazing. We had clean rooms daily, fresh towels when needed, toiletries, toilet rolls and our fridge was always stocked with water, Fanta, coke and sprite. Also tea and coffee in room.
The pool was brilliant, the beach area for our hotel kept clean and the entertainment was very good.
My only negative was the rudeness of other guests. They pushed in at meal times, stacking their plates high with food yet left most of it, which I thought so wasteful. They literally left rubbish wherever they sat which meant the staff were continuously cleaning up after them and this I felt was so ignorant. I even had one lady push in at the bar, demanding the barman pour her a coke for her son, even though I had waited my turn and was about to be served for my children’s drinks, I can still visualise her eyes boring into the poor barman and I really felt for him. I dislike rudeness and unfortunately there was plenty of that to see during my stay.
The food was nice and I never had a problem with any dishes, there were salads, meats, cheeses, fries, pastas, rice, fruit, puddings and plenty to choose from. Those who have mentioned food as an issue are clearly rather fussy eaters. There, I’m my opinion is plenty of choice for everyone.
The hotel was about two hours from the airport but the coach in was fine.
We did the relaxed boat trip which was good although the sea was a bit rough that day so are journey was a little rocky!
We did the trip to the market, but I probably wouldn’t bother with this if we went again.
The shops just down from the hotel were fine and cheaper for ice creams if you missed the ice cream slot at the hotel. 2-4pm I think!
We took lira but everything is in Euros so next time I’d use that.
The staff were friendly and although some didn’t speak English well I couldn’t complain as I couldn’t speak their language either!!
As a family we did enjoy are stay and would visit again.
