A very neat well maintained resort right across from the sea. Units were lovely and comfortable. Nancy at reception was very pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant on the premises was good value for money and we had a lovely breakfast. Next time we stay we will take chalets L2 and further along as ours was a bit cold as it... More

We're a couple that comes here almost every year. Even if we do stay at another place we often find ourselves here for a couple of days. It has all the basics we require. Views of the ocean and the legendary " Splash Rocks" offers a spectacular show. Rates are very competitive especially out of season. Almost everything you need... More

We took a family holiday to Port Edward and were pleasantly surprised by the resort's location. The beach is right next to the resort and there's lots of activities for the children within the resort. The accommodation was good and the staff quite friendly. The resort is self-catering and all the kitchen items that we required were available. We definitely... More

we hired one of the chalets out of season and loved it. Very reasonable comfortable and clean. We would definitely go back again. Pool was huge and very warm and the facilities for kids were great. Ocean view apt is a must.

Wonderful location right on the beach. Very safe and secure for families. Although we visited for a 400 strong family reunion, the site was great. Bobbies restaurant served the best cooked breakfast (less for mum-in-laws) in SA. The chalets are of differing age and standard. Would pay to check their web page for the differences. Ours was a 2 bed... More

With camping being the family first choice for the a seaside break, the uncertainty with the weather for the weekend ahead sent us further down south to Port Edward. An inexpensive break just to enjoy each other's company with a stroll on the beach is exactly what we got. 2 x 6 sleepers was our choice but we basically lived... More

Every self catering unit has different furniture and features - some have full sea views and other only side views. The accommodation is pretty basic but you are walking distance to the shops and beach. There are cleaning ladies that you have to "employ" as you need them. The unit's braai area gets cleaned on a daily basis.

this is the place to go and relax and wartch the sea, dolphins and whales. Chalets are basic but adequate, with everything one requires. They are very clean and linen in good condition. Its very popular and we return time and again.

My family and I visited the PEHR for a one night stay in their 4 sleeper cottages last weekend and while the cottages are very basic with 4 x single beds, a kitchen that is equipped with utensils/crockery/pots/pans etc, a TV with selected DSTV channels and a bathroom with a shower (granted it is a handheld shower, but a shower...
