We returned to the Old Rectory again for another peaceful stay. It is always such a restful, luxurious few nights away from daily life. This time we spent several moments gazing from our rooftop window at the giant trees in the garden only for a buzzard to fly-by at eye level. It amused itself circling the nearby rooks before taking... More

Dear James, Thank you so much for taking time to write us a review, it is very much appreciated. We are lucky enough to have plenty of wildlife around: deer, foxes, badgers, hedgehogs and all sort of birds including buzzards and owls enjoy the garden. Glad you were able to enjoy the wildlife too. Very warmest of wishes to you... More

We had a lovely time at the Old Rectory - Helle and David made us feel incredibly welcome. They had helpful tips for our weekend and plenty of time to chat! Breakfast was lovely and the afternoon scones on our Saturday afternoon was an added bonus. Beautiful house in a beautiful setting.

What a wonderful way to spend a weekend. Helle and David's beautiful Old Rectory has to be one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed at. After just 2 days (not long enough) we felt like we had spent the weekend with old friends such is the relationship that Helle, David and their two beautiful dogs develop with their... More

Our second stay at the Old Rectory and once again Helle made us feel so welcome, lemon drizzle cake to greet us, and nothing too much trouble throughout the stay. Our room was perfect, as was breakfast and we came away feeling totally spoilt. Teddy and Tilly were an absolute delight and my favourite memory will be of us all... More
