Turkey has low season now, only some hotels are open, they might be in a little panic as after C19 close-down Russians will not be coming this year. So, they need to earn money for being profitable. This is how it comes that in a 5* hotel you must pay first €1, 3 days later €2 for 24 hours internet. €1,9 for orange juice... It was strange. Facilities are fine with this hotel in the summer, but in March you simply cannot use them, and as the rooms are small and simple-furnished, you do not have 5* feeling at all.
We stayed in a 3 person room and got only for 2 people ( 2 towels,2 shampoos,2 soups,2 shower gel,2 bathrobe,2 pair of slippers). Hair dryer was very bad, it overheats quickly. They didn't return t-shirt for my friend. Everyhing in hotel is paying in particular.Room is very small for 3 person.
Had a 7day stay at this hotel, found a lot of fun people to drink and hangout with. Loved the shows at the evenings. Recommend to visit if you want to have a good time. Bar is 24/7 so you can party untill you are dead :D i would suggest to bring an wireless speaker so you can hangout and drink near the sea in the midnight.
I fell in love with Turkey and Meryan hotel. Everything was great, cant complain! we spend one week in may there. We had big, cozy and modern room on the third floor. cleaning stuff were coming everyday with water, soda and nice beers. I can only write good things about food, each day something different was offered for dinner, and i really liked pizza served for lunch and fresh tosts made for breakfast. Ice creams were nice too! View from the restaurant was just perfect. I also have to thank the bartender, cocktails were fantastic! Animators from Russia(?) were kind and funny. Beach is also nice, we always had a place to relax, and we loved the molo - jumping from it is awesome. I wish we could stayed longer. Will be back soon!
Hi my wife and me have chosen this Hotel due to the positive feedback on several platforms unfurnetly this is all a big lie. the reviews are made by the employees. to be on top of the rankings. the hotel is OK unless you like to walking in the darkness after 11PM than they are turning most of the lights off. the food is terrible in 7 days 4 times liver and 90% chicken every day the kitchen team is very unfriendly and don't speak any word English the food is served with bear hands sometimes without using loves especially by the pool watermelon station food is cold all the time no seafood like it is in the discrimination one kind of fish for lunch and one for dinner always the same burned cooked in advance nit eatable. the Hotel seems to be focusing just on the Russian guest animation activities music in the hotel everything Russian. very unpleasant stuff throwing food with the hands on you plate if you're won't something more to eat they almost won't to kill you exective chef just walking around with his beautiful jackets with the manager in the guest areas looking on his mobile phone instead to have a look what the crew is doing and chalking that the is no food in the line or they running out of setting dishes after one hour of operation the food is permanently cold and not well presented that what you see on YouTube is just a wish I would not recommend this hotel to families no beach just sharp stones high waves no space by the pool everything is already reserved the day before. outside nothing 3 bazaars dirty and bad small everywhere…
Our trip started off quite poorly - people in the reception was not overly polite and the hotel in general did not make a good impression (at least in comparison to similar hotels we visited in this region). Room was nice enough and clean but sound isolation is tragic - you can hear everything from corridor and outside. Air condition worked fine - no complains here. As did wifi, though it wasn't free - you have to pay for each day, for each device! Weird in this day and age. Food was good, not great but good enough. Given the pandemic times, there were some inconviniences in this department but nothing tragic. Drinks were terrible at first and I do mean terrible, horrific. After finding the right bartender and tiping him, the quality somewhat improved. I'd stick to the beer - only safe choice. Beach is a mix of gravel and stones so be prepared. Other than that there's not much to say. We were leaving at 10.30 PM but had to checked out at 12AM - hotel did not really cared about guests who have to wait for transfer after checking out. There's only baggage room - it stinks, it's hot and generally ruins last hours of your stay. It was the worst experience in this department I've ever had. All in all it's not a bad hotel. Definitely not a 5 star experience. If you expect strong 3* to average 4* then you might be satisfied.…
I was here on my honeymoon. Everything was impeccable. Starting with the artistic moments of each evening, the extremely kind and prompt staff to the requests, was the perfect vacation. Extremely friendly people, activities throughout the day so as not to get bored. Quite diverse food, we will definitely be back!
Its my 4 times in Turkey. Actually, this time iam very disaplointed about this hotel. The kitchen, pool bar stuff, the place its good, but the reception and especially entertainment team very unfriendly. If you from Russia, Poland or Germany thats okey they will like you. But if not they will dont care about you, never win them competition. So basically i wont come back this hotel. If animation team and reception team changed then yes!
Eeverything is great except, that wifi is paid (not free) even in reception. Some of the rooms are renovated ant very good, I suggest pay attention when booking Neat and clean hotel, not very noisy, great food. More suitable for families
Arrived to Meryan with my family for a 2 week vacation. Check in took some time but the staff were very friendly and hospitable. Rooms were clean, modern and they cleaning lady was extremely thorough, she made us different swans every day! Food is amazing at Meryan and you will not be disappointed, the variety and quality is out standing. The staff at the bar were very friendly and made very nice drinks. In general the staff was so nice that I ended up greeting to half the hotel by the end of my stay. Pool area is lovely for kids and the entertainment was very nice! They had a lot of activities for kids during the day and also in the evening. Only drawback is the distance to Alanya, but I think it’s a great place if you are visiting with your family. Perhaps a one day excursion to Alanya is doable, but a bit harder if you want to visit the city frequently. Buses pas the hotel frequently. There is also a bazaar/ shopping centre near the hotel (Alara Bazaar) worth visiting. In general I strongly recommend Meryan and look forward to stay there again on my next trip to Alanya.…
