Meryan Hotel offers a vibrant stay with its diverse food and drink selections, and entertainment options, as acknowledged by guests. The staff's friendliness and dedication contribute to a welcoming environment, although some guests have encountered slower bar service. While the hotel's overall cleanliness receives commendations, the pool area and room floors occasionally fall short.
The atmosphere is lively, with music playing late, which might not appeal to those seeking quiet. Travelers are critical of the extra fees for certain amenities, and rooms are noted to be compact and noisy, with comfort being an issue.

Staff - what can I say other than 👏🏼 Meryan for creating such a fantastic work force. Nothing is too much and staff in all teams are very pleasant. We have been incredibly impressed by the service!
Food - feels a bit repetitive, but the quality is always spot on. I can be a tad fussy at times, but I’ve still found something to eat during our time here. I think what’s missing is maybe an a la carte restaurant to break up the repetitive food from the buffet. I have to say though that the beach bar serving takeaway food during the day was a really easy option during the day! Waiter service was a bonus!
Room - we had a standard room which overlooked the water slides and it was a very well kept and comfortable room. Takes a bit to get used to the air conditioning and if you get cold, the blanket doesn’t cover 2 of you comfortably, so you’d need an extra one. Can’t fault the quality of the room at all. The bed for us was also really comfy.
Pool/beach area - the one thing I have to say is that there isn’t enough beds for guests here and it’s been an annoyance having to get up at 6.30 for beds (we are a party of 6, so it’s harder the later we’re up; 1 day we didn’t get 1 bed between us and had to spend the day sat at the pool bar which was far from relaxing for us. The pier is fab for jumping off and swimming by rather than navigating the pebble beach. We found the Aura shopping centre had the cheapest water shoes around (€10 a pair); that’s left out of the hotel and about 0.75 miles away at the opposite side of the main road.
Entertainment- struggled to get seats for the entertainment so can’t really comment on it. We were able to play bingo - we won and the prizes were typical holiday tat. Can’t fault the effort of the team though and I have to say the foam party was so much fun!!
Additional Info: we had a 70th birthday in resort, we paid to have the table at tea time decorated and for a cake, it was €60 (€10 per person). The cake was huge and could have probably fed about 10-12 people. Some photos of the table and cake below.
The Friday market is 0.5 miles from the hotel (turn right and cross at the first subway you come to) - there’s steps on the subway, so if anyone has mobility difficulties might want to get a taxi (€5 each way).
The Soho Bazaar is 1 mile to the right outside the hotel, but on the same side of the highway, the only crossing is at a roundabout.
I checked the distances on my strava and they differ to what the signs say outside the hotel.
It’s definitely a place I’d recommend!

We have just returned from a two week stay at the Meryan, we had an amazing time. We travelled as a family of four with a 21 year old and 18 year old, the entertainment in the day and evenings kept them busy. The animation team are brilliant, especially Nodo, Hallie, Yusuf , and Tuna , they are so friendly and it was great fun joining in with the activities. The hotel is so clean and the gardens are beautiful, kept to a high standard. The rooms were spacious and cleaned regularly. They had a good system with the sun beds, you cannot put your towels down until 07.30, there was always beds available, if people left their towels for a long period of time they put notes on the beds. The food was good with a big variety each night, the dining area got busy at certain times but was never a problem getting a table. The beach restaurant was a nice change and the staff there were great, very friendly. You had to pay 1 euro to change your towels which was fine and a deposit for the safe. The staff at the pool bar were amazing. Drinks and cocktails were good. The events they put on in the evenings were amazing, they went all out to make it special. The foam party was good fun. We met people from all over the world, we found most people friendly and enjoyed a chat. All the staff sweet friendly and polite. The Miss Meryan event was brilliant, so professionally done and my 21 year old daughter became Miss Meryan, she won a beautiful bouquet of flowers, 5 night stay at the hotel as well as some other goodies. We had a view of the pools and sea from our room, if you want an early night it can be loud until around 11pm, this was not a problem for us. I would highly recommend this hotel, we will definitely return.

Wouldn't say this us 5 star more a 3-4, The location is very isolated from the city which wasn't good for us and took 1 hour to go there.
The rooms are very very tight/cramped/small where moving around the room isnt ideal eg no where to put your suitcasesand they didn't fit in the wardobes as the wardobes weere not wide enough., The Aircon was really poor. To use your own room safe you had to pay a extra deposit which was surprising, the Balcony was tiny and as the hotel was on a side view you werent faving the sea. The shower kept flooding the Bathroom daily as the pipe system was poor and we had the maintenance come to sort out 3/4 in the week but still unsuccessful, they unfortunately didn't offer us another room. The Balcony sliding doors were not well sealed so you could hear outside very easily which was hard to sleep as well as the curtains to short so the sunlight would come from the sides, I did ask reception if they could do anything which they laughed sarcastic , unfortunately I did want a good night's sleep on holiday but with the light and sound coning through wasn't helpful where i didn't get s single nights with. Some of the plug sockets didn't also work in which was a headache. The room bathrobe, slippers, and The mini bar daily top up was a nice touch which is the only thing I can say in the room. Breakfast was average as well as lunch but Dinner at night was always brilliant. The house keeping staff , Restaurant staff, Bar staff were amazing. The hotel did have a nice area from the entrance to the pool and beach and nice with the private beach bur they only had one adult pool which was tiny for the amount of guest as well the aqua park area wasn't really big.
The hotel shops were okay but very very pricey.

I visited last October and couldn’t wait to return this June. This hotel is amazing. Pristine facilities, rooms are spotless with towels and bed linen changed frequently. The food is just amazing and I don’t think anyone could fault the selection. The staff are wonderful and just can’t do enough to assist you. Umit at the front desk was excellent in sorting a couple of minor problems we had. I agree it is annoying when the sunbeds are reserved and the rule should be enforced. We arrived at 1am and took a walk down to the beach and there were already lots of towels on the beds around the pool and on the beach terrace. As we preferred to sit on the beds on the beach it was not a problem for us as there are ample beds and umbrellas. We had a room on the 5th floor and the partial sea view was great. The lifts here are excellent. If you look at the pictures of the food selections that are on the hotel website I can confirm that in fact it’s even better than advertised. I absolutely love this hotel so much that I am returning in October with friends. Stella will be back!!

The travel consultant said "Good old Meryan" when suggesting the hotel. And indeed, a great hotel and a great vacation. The mansion is modest but beautiful, not burdened with gold glitter or sculptures. Beautifully maintained environment, a lot of vegetation and flower beds, fish swimming in a small stream give relaxation comfort and peace. The resort is located at the beginning of Orkucalar town on a sand and gravel beach. About 2km to the center of the town and the shopping district "Alara Grand Bazar". On Fridays, the market day is about 500m from the hotel. Nice and tidy room. Large balcony. Rooms are cleaned daily, towels are changed and the minibar is replenished. There is not too much choice of food, but it is really tasty and well prepared. A large bar menu, delicious cocktails. The staff is friendly, polite, always smiling and ready to help. Special Thanks to @Ramazan (Restaurant and Beach Bar), @Mesut (Loby Bar) and @Enes (Loby Bar at Night)...

Would love to give the full 5 stars but here is an honest review:
Good: Beautiful room that was cleaned to perfection every day, this also goes for the lobby, halls but can’t say the same for the pool area. Great selection of food and both by children loved it. Beautiful grounds, well kept and lovely. Great selection of drinks Great on tap ice cream for kids. Beautifully clean beach with well maintained sun loungers.
Bad: Kids entertainment / club just let kids walk off no signing in and out and just literally leave the kids when their time is up. No checking they are with their parents.
Chargeable activities at the kids club that should be included: sand pictures were €7 per child.
1 restaurant open for 2 hours in the evening from 1900 it is absolute madness, you get pushed shoved and not enough tables due to the time restrictions. It wasn’t a great experience when you’re travelling along with 2 young children.
Lifeguards doing absolutely nothing when kids are stood or swimming under the slides and people sliding down, either repeated near misses or kids getting hit by fully grown adults, the pool for slides being allowed for kids to swim in whilst on. - I did advise hotel during time here.
Several mornings finding cigarettes, ash, ants and smashed glasses around the pool.
Hotel allows people to take glass around the pools with many kids and bare feet this isn’t ok.
Broken ceiling glass over main restaurants.
Overall: Yes I would return, but I’d be cautious with returning with children.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to provide such a detailed and honest review of your stay at our hotel. We appreciate both your positive feedback and constructive criticism, as it helps us improve our services and ensure a better experience for all our guests. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your room, the cleanliness of the lobby and halls, the selection of food and drinks, the well-kept grounds, and the beautiful, clean beach with well-maintained sun loungers. The safety and well-being of our young guests are paramount, and we will address the concerns you raised about the lack of proper sign-in and sign-out procedures, and the inadequate supervision during kids' activities. This hotel has the potential to be amazing. However, although rated 5 star, this is absolutely not 5 star, more like 3. The good bits about it are: lovely reception area with great lobby bar serving great drinks. Room lovely, small but immaculate. Staff are lovely, working very hard to keep everyone happy. Food variety is great, with some great Turkish offerings. Sunset beach bar is amazing, serving traditional doner kebab, pizza and a delightful lady making a wafer thin flatbread with different fillings. A great entertainment team if you want to join in the fun. The downsides of this property are: the other guests. It is a very sad sight to see human beings in an elbow fight over a bowl of cherries. Sun beds are grabbed before sun rise, despite management saying they are not to be reserved. Glasses are allowed on the beach and by the pool which terrifies me with kids around (irresponsible I think). The sunset bar closes for the evening, yet there are not enough tables to sit outside for a drink, so we’re forced to sit inside. Who wants to be inside when the evening temp is around 30 degrees. The final massive letdown and is actually quite depressing is the dining room. It’s like something out of the 70’s with an oppressive mahogany wooden ceiling and furniture to match. I felt like I needed to eat and leave, not a pleasant environment at all and no non smoking outside dining options which I think is a big shame. There is the panorama restaurant, which is open sided, but smoking is allowed. People are allowed to smoke on the beach in the non smoking zone. Overall, people are doing just what they want and they are not respecting rules. The hotel should enforce them, then everyone would have a good time. Finally, just to reinforce why this is not 5 star, there is no supply of shower toiletries and you have to pay to change your beach towel! Never experienced this before.

The most average hotel nothing too bad but nothing that stands out. I would not say this is a 5 star hotel more like a 3. (would not recommend for english tourists)
Pros- Entertainment staff are great. Entertainment in the evening is good. Snack bar is good. Waffles and ice cream during the day. Fresh omelettes. Stocked mini fridge. Cons-
Impossible to sleep before 11:30pm music is so loud.
Not enough sunbeds around the pool, they were all reserved before 8am everyday, only sunbeds left are ones on the beach with no shade.
Barely any equipment in the gym.
Having glasses around the pool least 2/3 smashed everyday.
Housekeeping was not the best. ( was poo in the hallway)
Not good selection of food at the buffet.
Pool randomly closed for emergency cleaning with no explanation??
The bellman refused to leave our room until we tipped him, as females this was extremely uncomfortable.
Having to pay 1 euro for fresh pool towels is ridiculous for a 5 star hotel.
