Well, where to start. Firstly, I'm not 1 to read reviews as I'm aware not many people leave good reviews. I'm a normal English fella who just wants a clean place, nothing flash. Just some entertainment for kids through the day and decent evening entertainment. I'm really not expecting the world for what I paid. I'm also not 1 for wanting everyone to be English. However, as this was geared towards Eastern Europeans and Turkish, no staff spoke much English, which made communication issues a nightmare. However, this was Fawlty Towers with a raging gastro bug on the loose. We arrived at 5am and the reception lad was canny enough but hussled us to our rooms and didn't help with aricon and make sure we were settled. So after sorting that out, we went to sleep. I'll break the holiday down. Entertainment - only the main man spoke English to a degree, and when announcing everything, it was in 5 languages. You literally fell asleep as it dragged so much. Also, this is bad for the kidd as they wasn't much interaction, rep's just walk past everyone around the pool and don't speak. Daytime: Don't expect much at all. Water polo is a full-on brawl. The rep joined in and didn't control it when things got heated. We made him aware that he should be controlling it with a whistle. He really took note, 2 days later, he set the match off and completely disappeared, resulting in another wrestling match where someone was injured by a "stray hand." Darts was mad, and 1 rep was throwing them with his full body, and holiday makers were sat behind. I was waiting for 1 to miss, which it did. The board was moved. They also let people keep joining in, and the games are never-ending. Evening: Zero budget! I guess it's not the entertainment teams fault. We saw one dance act that was good. One extreme show had to stop as the stage was too slippery. Then after is "Disco" it's the same aturkish songs played on loop. The only time the entertainment team looked involved was when they went round selling the tickets for disco in Alanya, which call me suspicious they would have had a cut from, oh and along with the game of bingo which was the main entertainment 1 night. Yes, that's right. 1 game of bingo (4 euro) took 75 mins due to the languages, and talked about losing the will. Then another night I took part in the "Mr Stella Beach Hotel" competition, the number of people who came and said I was the best entertainment all week was unbelievable, I'm not even funny! For this I won a "Free" picture from the hotel photographer. I told my daughter who then informed me he had already taken photos of her and they were in display.. yes really. I wasn't even asked for consent. (I let it slide) Upon leaving at 11am I had to ask reception to see where the photographer was as he was meant to open at 11am. He was called and he came, I asked for 1 picture of my child with the parrot, he replied "it's for sunset picture only" no where on the voucher does it say this. But he wanted 8 Euros for the pic, then went to 5. I reminded him he had her on display, promoting his business for 6 days. He refused and ripped it up infront of my daughter. Gastro bug: we went as a group of 8. 4 of us had 12 hour sickness and diarrhea. Another family of 4, 2 of those. German family of 4, 3 of those. I've seen reviews on here from when we were away stating the same. They don't clean... never seen cleaning at all. Restuarant was manky, never cleaned rails on stairs and around pool was rotten behind beds. I informed reception we had 1 clean on the 1st night. We got towels dumped on bed and didn't even take old ones away! Carpets outside room on passage ways were manky also. Place is a health hazard. Reception - Well, the wonderful "Alec" the night reception was a treat. When I asked him about local bars, he was aggrieved because I interrupted his face time with his wife. Then again, when I asked about taxis. In fact, every night you'd see him sitting on the end on factime! Unreal man. Guest relations who you'd expect to be multi lingual weren't and don't even try to use the Ala Carte restaurant. 30 people only per night, and they close 2 nights a week. Location isn't great either, an hour into Alanya. Positives: Chiko world kitchen near by was good and also a marina restaurant in Alanya. Both will pick you up and drop you off after you've had drinks or shopped after eating. I want to state I've stayed in Turkey 5 times previous and paid the same money. I speak to people with respect, and I'm very polite. I don't expect the world. Just dodge the place for your stomachs sake at least!…
