We have just got back from a 2 week holiday here. I was actually dreading it because the reviews were so bad, but i honestly dont know what people expect for their money. We usually go to Spain but the prices for a similar set up on the beach were around 3K more ths year so we thought we would give Turkey a whirl. Yes it was a budget hotel and yes there were not many English ( it you want Brits abroad go to Benedorm) . It was a mix of lots of nationalities, Russians, German, Czech, Polish etc...and yes, some guests were extremely rude, but not all. I found that saying 'please' and 'thank you' in Turkish went a long way. The location was lovely with the hotel situated on a beach and a lovely pool and gardens. You did have to get up early to secure a decent sunbed spot but it was worth it. The beach had loads of activities from Paragliding and jet ski-ing ( which were not with the hotel so payable, but well worth it). The hotel also had a spa with massages etc which seemed to be reasonably priced. The staff were lovely! particularly shout out to Tarik from the bar who was so friendly and welcoming! And the lovely lady who makes the flatbread at 11am. The hairdresser and the photographers were also really nice and always said hello. The meal times were really clean and there was always people clearing constantly. The food was OK, breakfasts were typically Turkish but there were always egg and omelettes and toasties which you make your self. The outside snackbar was great for kids lunches, burgers, pizza etc and the evening meals were fine, kebabs, fried chicken etc. There were queues for the food each night, but the outside barbeque food was always better than the restaurant. The animation / entertainment team work really hard throughout the day with water aerobics, volleyball, darts, watre polo etc... and there is a mini diso in the evening and then entertainment after that. This was a bit hit and miss with fab african and columbian dance shows some evenings and also more home made entertainment other nights. There was a huge bazaar and steak house 15 mins walk away which was worth a visit and also a water park 10 mins away where you pay in and all soft drinks and food is included. It was our first trip to Turkey and we were pleasently suprised so go with an open mind and enjoy!

We went end of september until 4th october for 10 days Honest review from a non fussy Brit. The reviews I read before travelling were horrific. But I can see where they all came from. In a nutshell.... go somewhere else. It is 2 maybe 3 star at best. Reception - Always happy enough to order us a taxi. But that was about it. Had to take my phone and use Google translate when I needed more bed sheets and towels. Room - We contacted reception before we went to ask what room we would have as we has 3 adults and 1 child (13) we were told a family room with 1 double bed and a separate adjoining room with 2 single beds in. When we arrived, we had 1 room. With a double bed and bunk beds. We were told by the older guy with glasses that we had been upgraded. This was nonsense. We got what we paid for but was expecting the other room they said I was getting. Either way. We slept well and had enough space. Safe costs extra. Aircon is crap. Keep the 2nd key card in all the time. It'll cool eventually. And keep the curtains drawn. The fridge is crap also. Was off when we got there and took a full 24 hours to cool. And even then, It isn't fridge temp. Cleaning staff - lovely people. Always happy to help get what you need. However, the room was filthy when we got there. We needed to use the slippers provided until I could get some cleaning supplies and clean the floor. Half drank bottles in the fridge and used products in the bathroom. My son was victim to the horrific sickness bug that was rife in the hotel. He had been sick all over the 2 bunk beds (he was at the top) and all over the floor in the bedroom. Then all over the bathroom. We went to reception at 2am and asked for towels and sheets. They didn't understand me so I helped myself. I asked for the room to be cleaned. They didn't understand again until I showed them. They came at 11am the next day! Luckily I'd already bought anti bac wipes and cleaning supplies. So had already cleaned myself. But they did disinfect it for me. General areas - there is no air con in any public areas aside the restaurant. But this didn't bother us as we didn't spend our time in the lobby. Yes the shop is expensive. So get a taxi down the Alara Bazaar and go to migros. Dead cheap. Taxi was about 5 euros. We paid in lira. People say to take euros but they take lira and is better if you're in alanya for the day as a lot is in lira. Little gift shop is reasonably priced. Didn't use the disco as we heard it was a dive and we didn't fancy partying in a basement. A strange thing we noticed is that the water fridges are only ever filled up with water in the morning around breakfast. So you can never get cold water in the morning. So take some up with you on the way to bed. It'll get a little cool in the fridge. Or ask at the bar by reception. Theirs was always frozen. Restaurant - food was OK. Plenty of choice. Your typical 2 cold pastas and sauce of the day. 1 soup which if was chicken on one day became chicken and veg the next. Tomato soup became tomato and veg. We never ate that. Massive selection of salad and deserts. Loads of fruit. Always enough to eat and rotated on a weekly basis. Your best option is to use the grill and eat outside or take it back into the restaurant. Food is cooked fresh and is much tastier than inside. Lunch was the same every day. Chicken nuggets. Burgers. Chips. Onion rings. Salad. Melon. But we didn't starve. We did get ill though. So take imodium. We chose to eat out at palm restaurant and chiko world kitchen both in the bazaar. Food and service was excellent. Pool and surrounding area - pool was clean. No chlorine but that didn't really bother us. The umbrellas were disgusting at times. But they gave us shade. So did the job. 9am seems to be when most people hit the pool. So no need to fight for sunbeds. But did have to be out by 9. On occasions, the local Turkish people who had come on holiday would attempt to move or use your towels if you had used the spa towels and weren't there. So if you put towels out and go back to your room, use your own towels. Area was kept clean to be fair. The guy who did the cigarette pots and tidied rubbish was always so lovely. Slides are 10-12 then 2-4. Ice cream was at 4 or half 4. I've forgotten. But is behind the slides. You'll see the queue. Beach- this was beautiful. You will be better with beach shoes as its small pebbles and steep to the sea. But we managed. It is beautifully clear and always clean. Always beds available too. Entertainment - hit and miss. But we sat anyway and played cards when we were bored. It did what we needed it to do. We slept. We ate. We sun Bathed. We swam. It was full of Turkish holiday makers who got preferential treatment. They are the ones with the white wrist bands. Drinks after midnight you have to pay for. Unless you're local. Safe you have to pay for. Unless your local. Bar, you had to queue, unless you're local and went to the front. But again... didn't get under our skin. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and I'd never go back. Even for the cheap price. As there is similar and better out there. Even the locals screwed their faces up when you said where you were staying. As I said.... I did what we needed it to do. So can't say it was awful. But it just wasn't great.

now before going on this holiday i had my resivations as the review where pretty much awful but i am very open minded and im very aware that some people leave bad reviews regardless to what kind of place or stay they experiance we have found this alot in the past so went with a open mind and excited to explore . this review is 100 percent honest and fair from mine and my families point of view there are good and bad point about this hotel and ill discuss both we had a good deal for 2 weeks here a family of five the hotel is fine the pool and slides are great and its located right on the beach this is a pebble beach so swimming shoes are a must or you will struggle there is a pier you can jump in the sea and the sea is a beautiful clear sea .the pool doesnt have any chlorine in and this is a bit of a concern if im honest.the slides are open a few hours a day and the life guard is lovely . the staff in the hotel are all extremley friendly and always make a effort to speak and great all family members this is great the young bar man with curly hair and glasses and the head of entertainment where a firm fave with our family the photographers are lovely also . when we arrived we was checked in promtly and give 2 rooms this wasnt great for us as we are a family of 5 and our kids arnt old enough to sleep on there own so this meant our family was split for the majority of the holiday the rooms are basic but fine although th bathrooms need a good deep clean. there was a ragging sickness bug in the hotel when we was here and almost every family we spoke to had suffered ours included this was not great espically being away from home the hotel need a deep clean as the bug just continues to do its rounds this is not ideal at all the food is catered for germans i have fussy eaters and expected them to struggle but me and my partner are not fussy and we really struggled also. the are lots of germans here this time of year this isnt a issue for us as a family as we dont expect to go abroad and be with all brits but 90 percent of the holiday is focused around the germans. all in all we did have a nice little get away and we dnt expect the ritz for the price we paid the hotel isnt the best location there is only around 3 shops in walking distance you can get a bus regular to the local alanya but that take 40 mins we wouldnt return to this hotel if im completly honest as the location isnt great and the bug has put us off just make sure u pack medication to prepare incase you get the illness . also another tip the local shop all prefer euros other than lira your best getting euros

Some staff are very rude to women , the rooms are very basic , the fridge and air-conditioning didnt work very well. If you want a clean room, take your own cleaning equipment, we stayed for 2 weeks and had to ask for clean sheets and towels. bathroom and the room wasn't cleaned at all , they just emptied the bins. The food was hit and miss , they were alot of illness. The entertainment was basic , very hit and miss. The alcohol was horrible. But on a positive note the pool was OK. You need to go with an open mind if going for the UK .

Well, where to start. Firstly, I'm not 1 to read reviews as I'm aware not many people leave good reviews. I'm a normal English fella who just wants a clean place, nothing flash. Just some entertainment for kids through the day and decent evening entertainment. I'm really not expecting the world for what I paid. I'm also not 1 for wanting everyone to be English. However, as this was geared towards Eastern Europeans and Turkish, no staff spoke much English, which made communication issues a nightmare. However, this was Fawlty Towers with a raging gastro bug on the loose. We arrived at 5am and the reception lad was canny enough but hussled us to our rooms and didn't help with aricon and make sure we were settled. So after sorting that out, we went to sleep. I'll break the holiday down. Entertainment - only the main man spoke English to a degree, and when announcing everything, it was in 5 languages. You literally fell asleep as it dragged so much. Also, this is bad for the kidd as they wasn't much interaction, rep's just walk past everyone around the pool and don't speak. Daytime: Don't expect much at all. Water polo is a full-on brawl. The rep joined in and didn't control it when things got heated. We made him aware that he should be controlling it with a whistle. He really took note, 2 days later, he set the match off and completely disappeared, resulting in another wrestling match where someone was injured by a "stray hand." Darts was mad, and 1 rep was throwing them with his full body, and holiday makers were sat behind. I was waiting for 1 to miss, which it did. The board was moved. They also let people keep joining in, and the games are never-ending. Evening: Zero budget! I guess it's not the entertainment teams fault. We saw one dance act that was good. One extreme show had to stop as the stage was too slippery. Then after is "Disco" it's the same aturkish songs played on loop. The only time the entertainment team looked involved was when they went round selling the tickets for disco in Alanya, which call me suspicious they would have had a cut from, oh and along with the game of bingo which was the main entertainment 1 night. Yes, that's right. 1 game of bingo (4 euro) took 75 mins due to the languages, and talked about losing the will. Then another night I took part in the "Mr Stella Beach Hotel" competition, the number of people who came and said I was the best entertainment all week was unbelievable, I'm not even funny! For this I won a "Free" picture from the hotel photographer. I told my daughter who then informed me he had already taken photos of her and they were in display.. yes really. I wasn't even asked for consent. (I let it slide) Upon leaving at 11am I had to ask reception to see where the photographer was as he was meant to open at 11am. He was called and he came, I asked for 1 picture of my child with the parrot, he replied "it's for sunset picture only" no where on the voucher does it say this. But he wanted 8 Euros for the pic, then went to 5. I reminded him he had her on display, promoting his business for 6 days. He refused and ripped it up infront of my daughter. Gastro bug: we went as a group of 8. 4 of us had 12 hour sickness and diarrhea. Another family of 4, 2 of those. German family of 4, 3 of those. I've seen reviews on here from when we were away stating the same. They don't clean... never seen cleaning at all. Restuarant was manky, never cleaned rails on stairs and around pool was rotten behind beds. I informed reception we had 1 clean on the 1st night. We got towels dumped on bed and didn't even take old ones away! Carpets outside room on passage ways were manky also. Place is a health hazard. Reception - Well, the wonderful "Alec" the night reception was a treat. When I asked him about local bars, he was aggrieved because I interrupted his face time with his wife. Then again, when I asked about taxis. In fact, every night you'd see him sitting on the end on factime! Unreal man. Guest relations who you'd expect to be multi lingual weren't and don't even try to use the Ala Carte restaurant. 30 people only per night, and they close 2 nights a week. Location isn't great either, an hour into Alanya. Positives: Chiko world kitchen near by was good and also a marina restaurant in Alanya. Both will pick you up and drop you off after you've had drinks or shopped after eating. I want to state I've stayed in Turkey 5 times previous and paid the same money. I speak to people with respect, and I'm very polite. I don't expect the world. Just dodge the place for your stomachs sake at least!

Avoid this hotel like the plague! It is definitely not a 5 star hotel, 3 at best. The reception staff do not speak hardly any English apart from one lady who was lovely and very helpful. The hotel is very dated. The cleanliness is terrible around the pool area. You have to keep asking for more towels. The housekeepers will make your bed but not remove any rubbish from bins or clean the sinks etc. Old was bottles from previous holiday makers were still in the room when we arrived. The pool area is dirty. Uncooked meat and food. Most of our family and friends were sick and had to spend 2 days in bed. Don't be fooled with the pictures that are advertised on the website and other tour operators website. The jetty is of the hotel next door. The beach is all pebble not sand. No sports bar or pool table. Do not waste your money! Our 2 week holiday was the trip from hell!

Avoid this hotel at all costs! This hotel is dirty, our shower was not only filthy, but there was that much hair in the drain that we couldn’t have the water running for more that a minute at a time as it flooded the bathroom floor. There were glasses next to the sink that were covered in toothpaste, obviously from previous guests. Our bedding was dirty & had dirty finger marks on from day one. We were told we would have clean bedding 3 times a week. We actually only had fresh sheets once. That was only because we complained over & over, which was almost impossible as none of the staff including management spoke English. We had to find the cleaners trolly to get toilet roll as they were never once replaced. The rubbish in our room was not emptied, so we were taking it down to bins in the pool area to get rid of it. The food was absolutely disgusting! It was labelled above each dish in 4 different languages, none of which were English. We never knew what we were getting. They served the same dishes every day, every meal. We all had a sickness bug, 6 adults & one child. We spent 3 days of our holiday stuck in our room because of this. Our tv didn’t work, it wouldn’t even switch on. The floors were filthy, & if you walked bare foot, you could feel it all. We paid for 10 days all inclusive so we wouldn’t have to pay for food & drinks. We ended up spending a fortune eating & drinking else where. The staff were extremely rude & unhelpful at every point of our holiday. We did complain but as they didn’t understand a word we were saying, there was no point really. It completely spoiled our holiday & to be honest I doubt we would ever go back to Turkey.
