This hotel is top in everything!
I stayed with my partner in September 2023 on half board: the staff is very kind and available for any information; the food was truly delicious and, one day, a typical Calabrian evening was even organized with the typical delicacies of the place!
The location is a 2 minute walk from Zambrone station, so very easy even if you want to come by train (noises coming from the station are imperceptible, so no nuisance).
the hotel itself is fantastic: they are small terraced houses distributed on a slope divided into levels, with flowerbeds and well-kept plants; each apartment is cared for down to the smallest detail, the room and bathroom are clean and comfortable, worthy of a 4-star hotel. Everyone has their own little balcony, equipped with a table, chairs and clothesline, which overlooks a shared terrace facing the sea and Stromboli... and this is truly the charm! Only at sunset can you admire the beauty of this volcano with the sun slowly settling on it.
To access the beach there is the possibility of using the hotel's internal shuttle service available from morning to late afternoon, except lunch time. Even with a simple walk it is possible to reach the beach, but be patient on the way back as it is all uphill. Once you arrive at the beach you have an umbrella with two sunbeds and finally... the sea! Crystal clear, full of fish...spectacular! You just need to have shoes as there are stones both on the shore and in the water and they can bother those who aren't used to it.
Furthermore, the hotel is close to the Marinella beach, one of the many most beautiful beaches on the Costa degli Dei, where the sea takes on colors ranging from turquoise to emerald green... your eyes will be amazed. Here you can also admire the rock in the shape of a lion which gives the hotel its name. This small beach is right near the hotel, reachable on foot via a marked path, but be careful as it is a wooded path and therefore advisable to go there with sneakers.
Internal parking, bar service and swimming pool are available. The hotel also organizes various excursions, such as visits to the Aeolian Islands. We didn't take advantage of the entertainment because it was no longer present during the period of our stay, but it went very well anyway!
Given the proximity to the station, you have the opportunity to visit nearby towns, such as Tropea, Parghelia, Pizzo etc...
Our week has remained in our hearts, one of the best places and hotels, congratulations to all the staff! We hope to return for the second time!

TOP holiday!!! We stayed for 2 weeks in a sea view room with unforgettable sunsets; impeccable daily cleaning service; excellent catering and very kind waiters; very good entertainers and always attentive to guests without ever being intrusive; the best was seeing our two daughters very happy in the miniclub with games on the beach and laboratory activities in the afternoon. Babydance and engaging and hilarious evening shows... special thanks to Bocci, Manuel and Paolo for making even the rainy days fun. See you soon

Beautiful accommodation facility, overlooking a splendid sea. Huge and very clean rooms. Welcoming restaurant room, excellent quality and variety of dishes offered and served by always available staff (Ciccio always smiling and ready to satisfy our requests) Swimming pool also suitable for the little ones and well-stocked bar. Special mention goes to the QBR entertainment team (Sara Alesandro Martina Paolo and all the others) who know how to involve adults and children (with great discretion and professionalism!) in the infinite activities of the day. The descent to the sea is an enchanting walk among flowers and plants with Mediterranean colors and scents, all the greenery is cared for daily by a very efficient employee. Thick-grained sandy beach, pebbles on the shoreline, and then clear, transparent waters and the Lion's Rock to complete the scenery. Thanks also to Attilio and his shuttle, useful for returning after enjoying the sunset over the sea. Highly recommended!

I assigned four bullets for the location of the hotel, its structure, the manicured outdoor spaces, the pool.
For other services we were not very satisfied.
Our room was spacious, but probably never renovated. The air conditioner is very noisy so that it has never been used. You could even hear the one in the next room that, at times, disturbed sleep until late in the day.
The bathroom had damp spots on the ceiling and walls, and the shower door was dirty. Nothing to do with the modern and luxurious communal bathrooms under the reception.
As for the kitchen, there is a choice between three or four first and two second courses. The fish first courses seemed to us to all taste the same.
Even though I arrived early at the restaurant, the side dish (buffet) was always cold. I suggest we find a way to keep it warm.
At lunch, fruit (peaches and unripe plums) is offered, while at dinner a dessert, the same for everyone. There is probably no dessert maker in the kitchen.
Breakfast is quite varied, too bad that every morning jammed the hot drinks machine. Recommendation to ask the waiters directly at the table, the quality is better.
Being on a slope, I point out that from the rooms closest to the beach to the restaurant you have to climb 141 steps. We did it willingly, at least three times a day. Alternatively, there are shuttles that, during the day, often go up and down, allowing comfortable movements.
In the evening, if you do not have a car, you stay in the hotel... there is no walk on a promenade.
A few minutes walk and you are at the station of Zambrone, from which you can quickly reach places like Pizzo or Tropea.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel during the last days of July and the beginning of August 2023.
The hotel is beautiful, spacious, clean rooms overlooking the sea, from which you can admire exceptional sunsets with the Aeolian Islands in the background.
Fabulous beach and sea, clear and crystalline water and equally beautiful seabed; moving a little from the hotel beach you can admire even more spectacular sea and beaches.
Delicious food and friendly, polite staff. (in a week I gained 3 kg).
Spectacular entertainment, a special greeting to the legendary and very nice Luca il Romano De Roma; very entertaining evening shows together with the other members of the entertainment team.
With a few kilometers by car you reach the beautiful Tropea.
Top holiday.

Lovely structure, well managed and equipped with all comforts, located on the hill overlooking the beach of Zambrone is very close to the railway station; surrounded by well-kept greenery enjoys a fantastic view.
Friendly and helpful welcome.
The rooms, air-conditioned and spacious, equipped with fridge and safe, are always spotless (like every corner of the hotel).
The private beach can be reached on foot in 5 minutes (the final part is a bit steep), but better use the free shuttle service, guaranteed and constant for most of the day.
The swimming pool (open from 08:00 to 20:00), located in the main building, is equipped with children's area and whirlpool.
Bar, adjacent to the pool, stocked and well run by always friendly staff.
Animation present and never intrusive.
Excellent catering with buffet for appetizers and side dishes, while first and second courses are served at the table (reserved for the entire period of stay).
Homestay in Full Pension: experience to repeat!

Hotel Lo Scoglio del Leone, on the Costa degli Dei. 2 steps from Zambrone train station. Very nice hotel, excellent cuisine with excellent dining room and reception staff. Clean rooms with air conditioning. Overlooking the sea. Service from the rooms to the beach (clean sand and stones, crystalline three-coloured sea) with a very cool golf-car style machine. With 2 swimming pools and bar, small theatre. Where excellent Animation Those good guys, who are really good and nice. Go and spend a week of relaxation and fun.

Structure with a central body where there is a restaurant, a gym, toilets, all impeccable. Great food; perfect table service.
Adjacent to the main body there is a bar, a swimming pool and an open-air theatre. I particularly enjoyed the honest prices at the bar that allow you to take advantage of some extras at reasonable prices.
There are then a series of terraces with terraced rooms until you reach the sea. Travel is guaranteed by a very efficient shuttle service.
The private beach is well maintained. The sea is wonderful.
Engaging all the animation guys.
It borders on perfection.

I stayed at this hotel from 02/09/24 to 07/09/24 with my family. The reception staff very nice and clear, very clean and spacious room, spectacular sea and there is a very large and clean pool with whirlpool and children's pool, very kind, nice and very soft animation we find a table tennis court and beach volleyball. The food very good and typical, very clean dishes but the waiters should be a little more 'serviceable, in the structure we find a fairly stocked bar with very kind staff. To move there are shuttles very helpful and the guys there were driving, Attilio and Elijah, really very kind then there are the cleaning women very scrupulous and also very kind.

Truly wonderful place by the sea and the hotel was also very nice and clean. Excellent food even if the choice of fruit was a bit missing. The first courses were truly exceptional and the staff starting from the owner who was truly an exquisite person and the bartender Jerry very nice and the lady who looked after our room was very nice. The only comment I could suggest is to change the mattresses although they are very hard and on a double bed without a topper two single beds and really uncomfortable. For the rest 4 stars are deserved. Then a another piece of advice I could give is to lower the prices of local products. You can't pay €3 for an amaro del Capo which doesn't even cost us that much at home. You do it there and there aren't even transport costs.
