The whole family of Francesca is so warm and nice, we enjoyed every bit of our 3-days stay. The farm with all the olive trees , the vines, the vegetables, and the animals make the atmosphere so relaxing and comforting. What a delight to sit in from of our cottage room, looking at the flock of sheeps eating and hearing... More

The most authentic of the 3 agriturismo we stayed at in Sardinia. It felt like a real home and working farm. You see the grandmother of the farm Anna out and about tending the animals, and her daughter Francesca is lovely and warm and speaks English. Best for: wine, orange and onion marmalade (eaten with homemade pecorino), wild boar, rustic... More

Having read all of the five star reviews for Marongiu, I was really looking forward to a few days of excellent food and R&R at the Agriturismo Marongiu, around five minutes drive north of Villaputzu. The family is lovely - very welcoming and very accommodating. The mini cottages where guests stay are simple but clean, and comfortable. The bed was... More

We will never forget our two-day stay at this place, it was absolutely fantastic. It really is like being admitted to a warm and loving family, and that kind of hospitality is very rare. The agriturismo is located in a very peaceful place and you are surrounded by animals - we both felt incredibly relaxed there (even though we are... More

Enjoyed a three day visit here and agree with other reviews about the food, friendliness and overall experience. Francesca was a great host, enjoyed her cooking, and the conversation was excellent. Only problem was the time of year, very little happening on the farm just then. But Francesca's mother, Anna, very enthusiastically drove us around in her Fiat, to show... More

My friend and I stayed at Marongiu for only one night. What a mistake! We should have stayed a week! The farm is located close to beautiful beaches and there are miles of backroads to explore on bike or car. The real treat is the dinner they prepare for their guests. Everything was made on site and was delicious. We... More

We really enjoyed our stay in this agriturismo. Go there if you are looking for a stay in an authentic Sardinian farm atmosphere! Fabulous for kids! They can feed the goats, see the goats being milked manually, or the sheeps being milked mechanically, see pigs, hens, dogs and boars. All animals have their babies. You can make your own cheese... We very much enjoyed staying in this Farm and meeting fabulous people-Francesca and Guido! We were surrounded by a very friendly atmosphere - just felt like meeting old good friends! And the food was just perfect! We would definitely come back here and would definitely recommend Marongiu Farm to anyone traveling to Sardinia! Inga and Giedrius

This was brilliant! we stayed for a few days, ate everything that was grown on the farm itself and enjoyed the talks with the familiy who runs the place. I ate figs from their land, yoghurt from their own kettle, fruit from their trees and tried the wine from their vineyard. All excellent! We even had a small birthday party... More

We had dinner here twice and the meal was fantastic. 8 different dishes, each one of them better than the other for a great price (30Eur per person incl homemade wine). The hosts were very friendly and made sure we had a wonderful time. Would definitely come here again!
