NEVER STAY HERE! The calendar dates did not match up from USA to EU. USA starts on a Sunday & EU starts on a Monday... minor detail but makes a world of difference!!! The hotel room was great, spacious, clean and great beds. But unfortunately that's as far as the good goes . . The bar/cafe was extremely expensive. We was told by reception that out car would be safe parked in a space directly outside the hotel reception and that there has never been any problems. We woke to find it had been broke into overnight and ran sacked. The hotel claim they didn't see anything and CCTV was not working.

Thank you for your comment on the good points of our hotel. Regarding the bar prices that you consider high, we carry out benchmarks with our colleague and we believe that we are practicing market prices. For your incident, we offer secure parking and a huge public car park is available 200 meters from the hotel. Even if there had never been an incident on this external space, zero risk does not exist. For surveillance camera videos, they are in place for immediate security reasons to see what is happening outside but the camera don't have sufficient definition to identify people. The manager

I needed a hotel near Brussels Midi because I wanted to catch an TGV to Disneyland Paris in the morning. I had emailed the hotel beforehand and they answered swiftly. From Brussels Midi its only a short walk, I had looked on Google Streetview beforehand, and found the hotel easily. Upon arriving the room was not yet ready but I was early. And I was able to put my suitcases in the locker downstairs. I then walked back to Brussels Midi to take the metro to the city centre and I also visited the comic book museum. Because the receptionist had kindly informed me I would be staying in a Blacksad room I was on the lookout for that and got myself a bookmark. Upon returning the room was ready and I went there first and then picked up my bags. The room was nice, the bathroom was great(lovely bath) and in the morning the breakfast was nice. It was 07.00 on a sunday and was by myself, but there were so many cartoons painted on the walls & ceiling I took a trip back to memory lane whilst eating.(I used to read cartoons as a child and this hotel was a trip down memory lane! I just only knew the names in Dutch so it was interesting to see them in french) All in all very convenient and I've already booked a room for an upcoming trip! Absolutely great hotel . Went with my teenage son to see the Christmas Markets and couldn't recommend it more. The room was fantastic and a great size with a decent bed and lovely pillows. The facilities were brilliant; they have an arcade room for the kids and the staff were very friendly and speak a number of different languages

Good hotel but.... The receptionist was lovely when we checked in, really helpful and full of local knowledge. The room was quirky and quite large. Our son absolutely the bunk beds and quickly chose the top bunk to sleep in. We found it really useful that a child can have some alone/quiet time after a busy day looking around the Christmas market and great for the adults to chill for a bit ;) At check in we had to pay a holding fee of €100 which we were told would be unblocked when we checked out, I double checked this with the receptionist and on check out he even took the card details "just in case" well we're now 15 days since we checked out, I emailed after 6 days to make sure they were unblocking it and was asked to wait patiently for up to 14 days, well it's now 15, another email and they state its been unblocked today but it may take a week! Potentially 21days after checking out! Excuse me but that's my money that you're keeping hold of for NO REASON! Please consider putting this €100 on a credit card, I'm appalled it's taken this long, especially on the run up to Christmas, the approx £87 would've been really useful the week before the 25th! From now on all "holding deposits" will be put on a credit card. …

Very nice hotel, quirky design, great for young families. We stayed in a quadruple room . 1 double bed abd bunk beds . Very clean staff helpful. Good supply of clean towels daily. Housekeeping everyday. Bathroom and toilet both very clean . Highly recommended

Very quirky and original hotel...very clean excellent breakfast. Good facilities. Location is a 10 minute walk from brussels South Station and 15 minutes for the main shopping area, I wouldn't recommend the Panorama Aviation restaurant opposite. They let us order before telling us they didn't have an alcohol or milk(!?!l) and when it came to paying the told us they only took cash!!!

Visited with our university’s study association. Clean and spacious enough rooms for the price. Very poor English skills of their unkind staff (or simply unwillingness to speak English…). Bathtub did not have a plug, could not turn on the bathroom radiator. Felt very distrusted by a staff member, as if we were high school students out to wreck the hotel Another staff member in particular was extremely rude and snappy to guests who did not speak French. When asked why he was so rude, he became very emotional and just screamed for us to go to the reception.

Good things first! The hotel was very clean, the housekeeping staff are very good and prompt every day. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We used the bar for a night cap a couple of times and it was an ok place for a last drink. The beds are comfortable with good pillows. We didn't have breakfast as we thought 17 euros was too much and there are other places in a short distance. We were on the 5th floor and it was very quiet at night. As others have said it is not in a good area, there was a police incident the evening we arrived just across from the hotel so there was a police presence and police officers there in the morning. You don't feel safe in the surrounding streets in the dark, we walked into town (20 mins) in daylight and used uber to get back. Its very convenient for Eurostar.…

As a fan of comics growing up, this hotel was absolutely amazing! The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The hotel's decor was stunning. We really enjoyed the all-out commitment that the hotel went with into the theme. From when you walk in the door, stroll through the lobby, look out from the elevator and walk into your room, the hotel is committed to local comics. With that being said, it could be easy to assume that they would take short-cuts on the other areas of a hotel that matter, but we didn't find that to be the case. The beds were comfortable and the room was polished and clean. As an additional bonus they have a plethora of comics that you can check out from the front desk lobby to read in the room (although an understanding of French would be incredibly helpful). Breakfast in the morning had a good variety of things to choose from and was quite tasty. I will agree with the other reviews that the surrounding area has definitely seen better days. While I wouldn't have any issues walking around the area during the day, walking around the area at night felt sketchy. With that being said, the hotel recommended the restaurant right next door which was a safe walk. We ended up enjoying the food so much that we ate both nights that we were there. If you want a unique place to stay, then fire away. If you don't like comics, then I would choose somewhere else.…
