We are just home from a week at The Milano hotel; we upgraded to a room with a balcony & it was worth every penny! This is a fabulous, small friendly hotel in Maderno, perfect if you want to escape the crowds of the busier towns on the lake, but well situated for getting around, with the ferry pick up just opposite the hotel. The pool area was great for a lazy day, and the lunchtime snacks were delicious! We hope to return again to this lovely hotel 😍

This hotel is right in the middle of Maderno. We had a lovely time in a room with a great view. The main bars/restaurants are all within a short walk and there is a lovely cafe right outside (frozen cheesecake is lovely) Pool area is a decent size The staff were all very helpful The mid morning Late at the pool was quality Would definitely stay again Many thanks

My husband and I just returned from a 2 week holiday to italy. We hopped round 3 cities and then added a respite week to complete our trip. This hotel is beautiful we had a standard room not including a balcony. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating we enjoyed sitting by the pool and enjoying a drink in the evening at the bar. Breakfast was a great selection and a decent time of the morning. The area and the views are spectacular. Some of the restaurants are not so good. Hotel milano previous to covid had offered evening meals but due to the pandemic are only just recouping clientele. We would definately return to Lake Garda and to this hotel.

Clean hotel room with a great lake view. The pool area is very nice and clean. Great value for money. The location of the hotel is perfect. In the centre of the town and close to a beach. Very hospitable staff. Especially the girl who worked around the pool area every day. She was very kind and enthusiastic. Thank you!

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. I’ll start with the positives: The location on the lake is excellent and the pool area is really nice. There is also ample parking available (for a €5 charge per day) However, the hotel is let down by the 2 rude men that man the reception desk. They also ask for payment in cash and the value of our stay was beyond the limit Expedia state you can pay in cash in Italy. Additionally, even though there are air conditioning panels in the room, they are just for show. The weak ‘air con’ is centrally controlled and only switched on between 4pm and 7am so the room is boiling when you wake up. The rooms are small but feel recently refurbished. The bathrooms are clean but in need of upgrading. The breakfast is acceptable.

We recently stayed here for 4 nights - good location, nice pool and majority of the hotel staff are nice apart from the managers/ receptionists! When leaving the hotel we wanted to pay on card yet ‘it would be better for them’ if we were to pay cash (I have never had this in a check out of a hotel). Our taxi for the airport was leaving in 5 minutes waiting, and yet they wanted us to walk to a cash point to pay hundreds of euros as it suited them better.. Clearly do not care about customers, often rude and not even at reception having to wait over 10 mins to check out! Beds are hard and pillows are even worse - there was no main light in our room so at night all we had was the bathroom light and bedside table small light. Breakfast is average at best. One night the air con did not work at all and so it was very uncomfortable in the heat. When we tell the manager - we realised they control the aircon and as it was a cooler day he had clearly turned it down/ off!!! I have been to many 4* hotels and I do not think this hotel deserves it at all.

Charming hotel with a swimming pool which my son really loved! There were always available sunbeds and towel which you can borrow. The room was clean with okay size. Shower was a bit small, though it is not the smallest I have seen in Italy. The view over the lake from our room was fantastic and I would really recommend to go for a room with a view. Check-in was fast and professional. Nothing more, nothing less. There's a private parking space inside the hotel compound which was really convenient. Be aware though that it is not for free! Lastly, I would like to mention the live music by the hotel pool on some of the nights we were there! We really enjoyed it and gave a really relaxing atmosphere.

I recently had the opportunity to stay here for four days while on business, and I came away with good memories and no doubt that I could recommend this hotel for anyone staying at a hotel in Toscolano Maderno. First off, let me just say the location of the hotel is absolutely perfect regardless if you want to go out sightseeing, go to the beach or just stay at the hotel compound and enjoy the pool! It cannot be overstated how great it is situated. The hotel itself looks the part as it is a gorgeous 1920's Italian villa that has been made in to a hotel and been so for the last forty-fifty years I believe. The reception area is rather small, and not always manned, which has to be one of the few "negatives" in my review. But, if you get a room with a view across the lake and especially the terrace, you can enjoy yourself by overlooking the lake front and the beautiful road going from Gardone Riviera to Toscolano Maderno. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was even if it was "right in the city center". Check in went rather smoothly, and the room itself was in good condition. Great water pressure (not exactly a given in an Italian hotel room) in the shower is a definite plus, and for being an "old" hotel, I found the room to be clean, well taken care of and certainly being able to call itself a four star hotel. The refridgerator was another matter as it didn't work in my room, but I was too busy to care while I stayed there. Beautiful hotel garden with lovely pool and good amount of sunchairs. An extra touch was the possibility of being served while laying by the pool which I thought was a decent touch to this classy place. The parking amenities were good as you park in the back of the garden while driving in a gate that is only opened by the hotel key cards. All in all, a very good hotel experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone looking to enjoy relaxing days in the middle of Lake Garda in one of its most idyllic locations (the peninsula with its long beach/walkway is one of the best around the lake). TOP TIP: Nearby you will find several gems as far as food goes. Use TripAdvisor, you can't really miss them and they are practically right at your doorstep! Until next time, Hotel Milano! Thanks for a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this authentic hotel. Very friendly people, a good breakfast, nice room and a cool vibe. Nicely situated at the harbor, easy to take the carferry to Torri. A good place to rent a boat nearby... We would certainly like to come back😀
