A superb hotel walking distance from great cross country skiing facilities nestled in one of the most spectacular valleys in the Dolomites. Loved the spa, the dining was excellent (despite the odd mishap with non meat options), all dishes prepared to please the eye and palate. Staff were discrete, friendly and helpful
Just spent three days at the beautiful Falkensteiner Antholz, couldn`t ask for a better place to relax, lovely view, cosy spaces, super nice staff, would like to do a special mention to Francesco my waiter every night, such a lovely gentelman, Alex the Hotel Director, Rebecca experience concierge, actually everybody.... Overall a great experience. TOP, TOP TOP!!!
The hotel is located in the mountains, with another hotel right next to it but far from any cosy city center. The hotel is built in a strange way : in the back you have an older building, in the front the building you see in all the pictures. We stayed in the new building, in the riesenferner suite with a telescope. This room has an amazing view, good beds and a big shower. Though this room is in the modern part of the hotel the hallway is still with brown carpet and white walls, like in the older Austrian hotels. Breakfast is ok, dinner is gourmet with mini-portions that look like small paintings and taste very good. The afternoonfood is very boring : always the same salad and the same cakes, hardly any choice. The swimming pool needs to be renovated, parts of the wooden border are missing. There is only a small terrace outside and there is bar that is absolutely not cosy. The lady at the spa is worth mentioning, she does a great job and is very friendly. This is a hotel we will not visit again ,no cosy atmosphere at all, everything is cramped together, we felt we only had breathingspace in our room. The price you pay is too high for what you get.…
We had a quite relaxing holiday. Silence and nature, just the cows bells to be heard in the morning, together with the water in the open-air swimming pool. Nice surroundings, the Messner Museum, Vespa and motorbikes to explore the region, superlative chef.
Very nice hotel, exceptional staff but really a negative note regarding dinners. Portions in dishes are too small and it was expected more typical foods. All the rest is exceptional, especially the structure and staff. Regards,
Great hotel if you want to do hiking in steep alpine environment. The hotel is also centrally located if you want to discover the wider area of South Tirol. Lots of fresh air and beautiful landscape. The hotel also accepts dogs and their owners (which may be a challenge if you are not a dog-lover)!
good hotel in a position a little bit closed, there is no wide spaces around the hotel. The rooms in the new building are very good. towels are consumed and not in line with a 4 stars hotel. food is quite plain not in line with the level of the hotel. self service buffet is not a good point, even if it is allowed by law. wellness area is very good with very well trained staff! very good also the programs suggested to the guests. very nice the possibility to use scooter (vespa). too many dogs.
The hotel is located in the middle of the mountains and it's really quiet. I reccomend it to all the people that love to be in the green and silence. We enjoied it very much! We will definitely come back one day!
We are 100% satisfied! Great service, cosy well designed rooms with a stunning view, fantastic food on a 5 course dinner and endless breakfast buffet, great spa - a real value for money! ... and all this in a unique stunning location in the Alps!
Everything was perfect. The location, the hotel facilities, pool are and spa, the restaurant with amazing view on the surrounding mountains... everything was great! On top of that the hotel staff is super nice and it is definitely true dog friendly hotel! We will come back for sure!
