La Mirage Parador was a wonderful base for our weekend visit to the Algarrobo region. Not quite a hotel or a B&B, I would describe it more as a country inn, constructed in a handsome and comfortable hacienda style. With six guest rooms circling an atrium, a guest-only restaurant and a lovely clean cool pool La Mirage is pleasant, quiet...

Dear RizhaoBob, thank you very much for your nice comment. I have never thought about La Mirage as a country inn, but I like the notion! :-) We are very happy that you liked La Mirage and what we have to offer. Best regards from Tunquén :-)

We were fortunate to stay at this beautiful gem of a hotel, perched high on a hill between Algarrobo and Tunquen, with sweeping views of the valley and the Pacific Ocean. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely owners, Kim and Ricardo, who showed us to our clean, comfortable, cozy room. Throughout our stay we felt pampered and...

This was our 4th consecutive trip to La Mirage for New Year's eve and it certainly won't be the last one. Why do we keep coming back? This is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. Located high on a hill outside Algarrobo on the way to Tunquén, between the ocean and the vineyards, it is the best choice on...

Nice property with a good resturant. We booked on line from Valparaiso Chile and with out GPS it took some extra time to find the hotel. Nice smaller pool not a lot to do but relax wish we had skipped staying in Valparaiso and used this as a staging point to visit this Chile coast.

We visited La Mirage in December 2015. The hotel itself is really beautiful built in the old colonial style with a magnificent view of the hills surrounding it. Despite being in the middle of the summer there was a nice cooling breeze from the ocean. There is a nice pool, which our sons enjoyed and a nice surrounding garden with...

We arrived in November quite by luck -- our original reservations at another establishment were cancelled due to some unseasonable rain. What a wonderful piece of luck that turned out to be, as we couldn't have had a nicer stay. Being not quite tourist season yet, we were there with only one other party, but everyone was kind and hospitable....

We arrived on a drizzly evening after a two hours drive from Santiago, greeted by a concert of frogs in the central pond and the friendly hotel manager. We visited this small hotel off season (in winter - August) which is less than ideal given the cold nights. Agree with many other reviewers that the rooms are just far too cold in the winter. They need to add some small space heaters or something to make it viable off season. The only communal space not outside was a...

Lovely small little hotel in the outskirts of Algarrobo... very relaxing, calm, great service, and a great breakfast in the morning. We´ve stayed on 3 occasions, and the attention has always been very special. Definitely recommend this is you want to relax with no TV and noise, far from the hype.

We visited in low season so only one other couple occupied one of the five other rooms. We booked a Superior room for CLP90.000/night (around $180) on a Saturday. After leaving the Casablanca valley we drove along lightly trafficked secondary roads (watch for potholes!) and easily found La Mirage off of F-818. We were promptly greeted on arrival and shown...

Dear Ryanr98. Thank you very much for your detailed comment. We are very happy to know that everything was to your liking. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Enchanting Bed & Breakfast, between sea and vineyards. At only 90 minutes from Santiago a piece of paradise is awaiting you! When we built our beautiful Chilean style casona, our idea was to create something out of the ordinary, to create a place for relaxing and enjoying life, where one leaves stress and anxiety at the doorstep before entering. We believe that we have succeeded in creating this unique place, and we are proud to share it with our guests. From our terrace we have a distant sea view, and you will hear birds singing while having breakfast, and during your swim in the pool. Small and intimate we assure the exclusiveness that you look for, as well as tranquillity and relaxation. La Mirage Parador is of European inspiration, situated in a traditional Chilean frame, resulting in an atmosphere of international quality. During your stay you can enjoy our restaurant, open only for our staying guests. Our chef, one of the owners, prepares dishes of his own creation of Chilean and internation inspiration. We are located less than 1 hour from most of our region's attractions, including the vineyards of Casablanca and the Pablo Neruda Museum in Isla Negra. ... more   less
